Opis:
The bearing response of pile foundations for cross-sea bridge subjected to lateral loading is investigated through threedimensional finite element numerical analyses. In the analyses, non-linear behavior of concrete is simulated using smeared cracking model, and the strain-stress relationship of rebar is modeled through perfectly elasto-plastic model obeying Mises yield criterion. The finite element model is validated against published lateral static loading test in situ. The effect of reinforcement ratio of reinforced concrete and vertical load level is explored on the displacement of pile head and lateral capacity of pile. The results show that for the pile with low reinforcement ratio, the allowable lateral capacity is controlled by concrete cracking, however the allowable lateral capacity is controlled by the displacement of pile head with high reinforcement ratio. The vertical load applied on the pile head may reduce its displacement but increase simultaneously the maximum moment in the pile body. Therefore, the optimum vertical load level is 0.4~0.6 times of the vertical ultimate load of a single pile.

Opis:
Large errors of low-cost MEMS inertial measurement unit (MIMU) lead to huge navigation errors, even wrong navigation information. An integrated navigation system for unmanned vessel is proposed. It consists of a low-cost MIMU and Doppler velocity sonar (DVS). This paper presents an integrated navigation method, to improve the performance of navigation system. The integrated navigation system is tested using simulation and semi-physical simulation experiments, whose results show that attitude, velocity and position accuracy has improved awfully, giving exactly accurate navigation results. By means of the combination of low-cost MIMU and DVS, the proposed system is able to overcome fast drift problems of the low cost IMU.

In order to solve the problem that current avoidance method of shipwreck has the problem of low success rate of avoidance, this paper proposes a method of intelligent avoidance of shipwreck based on big data analysis. Firstly,our method used big data analysis to calculate the safe distance of approach of ship under the head-on situation, the crossing situation and the overtaking situation.On this basis, by calculating the risk-degree of collision of ships,our research determined the degree of immediate danger of ships.Finally, we calculated the three kinds of evaluation function of ship navigation, and used genetic algorithm to realize the intelligent avoidance of shipwreck.Experimental result shows that compared the proposed method with the traditional method in two in a recent meeting when the distance to closest point of approach between two ships is 0.13nmile, they can effectively evade.The success rate of avoidance is high.

The fatigue problem induced by wave loads and floater movements of dynamic umbilicals in deepwater is studied. The prediction method of the fatigue life is investigated by considering no-linear local stress due to contact and friction between components of the umbilical. A case study of a dynamic umbilical for 1500 meters depth in South China Sea was presented. The results showed that the more accurate result of the fatigue life was calculated by considering non-linear local stress. The fatigue life by considering local stress with the no-slip assumption was conservative. An obviously longer fatigue life was obtained by considering local stress with the full-slip assumption.

Oujiang Estuary is a complex tidal estuary with many channels and shoals in the East China Sea, which was affected by typhoon frequently. The navigation channel of Wenzhou Port is located in the north branch of Oujiang Estuary, which happened serious sediment siltation in many times due to typhoon impact. The regulation is considered to decrease siltaion of the channel and protect shoals as well. According to the site survey data, the mathematic model is established and validated, which simulates the hydrodynamic, sediment transport and channel siltation due to typhoon in Oujiang Estuary. The channel regulation scenario is studied by the model simulation after analysis of the silation character. It indicates that the high concentration sediment from shoals north of channel is main sediment source caused siltation in the channel, which can be prevented into the channel by the regulation scenario and decrease siltation efficiently.

To study the influence of the random load on the V-lock chain ring for mining, the numerical simulation technology is used. The dynamic tension is obtained by using the dynamic model of the plough. The life and damage nephograms are obtained by using ANSYS Workbench. The analysis results show that the short fatigue life region of the V-lock chain ring for mining is mainly concentrated on the transition region between the medial straight edge and arc, and the fatigue damage of the link chain on the side of the motion direction of the plow head is larger than that on the other side. This link chain has strong anti-fatigue performance.

Submerged floating tunnel (SFT for short) is a special underwater traffic structure, and wave load is one of the main environmental loads of SFT structure. In this paper, the 1:60 physical model test of three kinds of SFT in a two-dimensional wave flume is tested. The effects of random irregular waves on the SFT structure under different wave heights and periods are discussed. The study shows that: (1) Compared with circular and polygonal sections, there are multiple local peaks in the elliptical section during the period. with the increase of wave height, the number of local peaks also increases. It suggests that the rotational moment plays an important role in the elliptical section which has a relatively small depth-width ratio. (2) The position of the maximum and minimum pressure in the three kinds of SFT sections is consistent. Their vertical wave forces are all larger than their horizontal wave forces. The increase of vertical wave force relative to horizontal wave force in polygon section is larger than that in elliptical section, and the difference in the circular section is the smallest. (3) Under the same traffic condition, the wave force of the elliptical and polygon section is smaller, but they are more sensitive to the change of wave height, and the increase is obvious. The distribution of wave force in the circular section is more uniform.

Opis:
The health condition of rolling bearing can directly influence to the efficiency and lifecycle of rotating machinery, thus monitoring and diagnosing the faults of rolling bearing is of great importance. Unfortunately, vibration signals of rolling bearing are usually overwhelmed by external noise, so the fault frequencies of rolling bearing cannot be readily obtained. In this paper, an improved feature extraction method called IMFs_PE, which combines the multivariate empirical mode decomposition with the permutation entropy, is proposed to extract fault frequencies from the noisy bearing vibration signals. First, the raw bearing vibration signals are filtered by an optimal band-pass filter determined by SK to remove the irrelative noise which is not in the same frequency band of fault frequencies. Then the filtered signals are processed by the IMFs_PE to get rid of the relative noise which is in the same frequency band of fault frequencies. Finally, a frequency domain condition indicator FFR(Fault Frequency Ratio), which measures the magnitude of fault frequencies in frequency domain, is calculated to compare the effectiveness of the feature extraction methods. The feature extraction method proposed in this paper has advantages of removing both irrelative noise and relative noise over other feature extraction methods. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by simulated and experimental bearing signals. And the results are shown that the proposed method outperforms other state of the art algorithms with regards to fault feature extraction of rolling bearing.

In China, the oil and natural gas resources of Bohai Bay are mainly marginal oil fields. It is necessary to build both iceresistant and economical offshore platforms. However, there are many risks during the life cycle of offshore platforms due to the imperfect preliminary design for the Bohai Sea economical ice-resistant structures. As a result, the whole life-cycle design should be considered, including plan, design, construction, management and maintenance design. Based on the demand of existing codes and research of the basic design, structural ice-resistant performance and the reasonable management and maintenance, the life-cycle design theory is discussed. It was concluded that the life-cycle cost-effective optimum design proposed will lead to a minimum risk.

In underwater unmanned vehicles, complex acoustic transducer arrays are always used to transmitting sound waves to detect and position underwater targets. Two methods of obtaining low-sidelobe transmitting beampatterns for acoustic transmitting arrays of underwater vehicles are investigated. The first method is the boundary element model optimization method which used the boundary element theory together with the optimization method to calculate the driving voltage weighting vector of the array. The second method is the measured receiving array manifold vector optimization method which used the measured receiving array manifold vectors and optimization method to calculate the weighting vector. Both methods can take into account the baffle effect and mutual interactions among elements of complex acoustic arrays. Computer simulation together with experiments are carried out for typical complex arrays. The results agree well and show that the two methods are both able to obtain a lower sidelobe transmitting beampattern than the conventional beamforming method, and the source level for each transmitting beam is maximized in constraint of the maximum driving voltage of array elements being constant. The effect of the second method performs even better than that of the first method, which is more suitable for practical application. The methods are very useful for the improvement of detecting and positioning capability of underwater unmanned vehicles.

This paper studies the characteristics of marine water quality monitoring data monitored by photoelectric sensor network, mines the potential information from the massive data. on account of the continuous accumulation of monitoring data, this paper focuses on the study of database with numerical attribute and proposes a rule updating algorithm for solving the rule maintenance issues caused by changes in the database. according to the rule, the algorithm forms a new database from part of the original data and the new data, and searches the new database by random search, thus can avoid creating a large number of redundant rules and can quickly mine effective rules at the same time. experimental results show that this method not only can avoid mining in the whole original massive data, but also can improve work efficiency, and can quickly and effectively find new data and find useful rules in the data with high practicability.

In the present paper, theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and model test are combined together to develop flat-type river-sea-going ship which is characterized with larger loading capacity, lower fuel consumption, better performance on energy-saving and environmental-friendly, excellent economy and higher transportation efficiency. Key technologies on hydrodynamic performance, structural safety, energy-saving technology and green ship technology are investigated to develop the river-sea-going ship. The developed “4E” level ship has great significance to the implementation of national strategic deployment.

The stayed cables are key stress components of large offshore bridge. The fault detection of stayed cable is very important for safe of large offshore bridge. A particle filter model and algorithm of nonlinear vibration signal are used in this paper. Firstly, the particle filter model of stayed cable of large offshore bridge is created. Nonlinear dynamic model of the stayed-cable and beam coupling system is dispersed in temporal dimension by using the finite difference method. The discrete nonlinear vibration equations of any cable element are worked out. Secondly, a state equation of particle filter is fitted by least square algorithm from the discrete nonlinear vibration equations. So the particle filter algorithm can use the accurate state equations. Finally, the particle filter algorithm is used to filter the vibration signal of bridge stayed cable. According to the particle filter, the de-noised vibration signal can be tracked and be predicted for a short time accurately. Many experiments are done at some actual bridges. The simulation experiments and the actual experiments on the bridge stayed cables are all indicating that the particle filter algorithm in this paper has good performance and works stably.

Accurate tide height is crucial for the safe navigation of large deep-draft ships when they enter and leave the port. We have proposed an accurate forecasting method for the tide heights from the observation data and neural networks, which can easily calculate the tidal window period of large deep-draft ships’ navigation through long channels at high tide. Moreover, an artificial neural network is established for the tide height from the observation of tide heights before their current time node. For an ideal forecast, the neural network was optimized for one year with the tide height data of Huanghua Port. In case of large ships, their tidal characteristics of channels for are complex. A new method is proposed for the observation of multiple stations and artificial neural networks of each observation station. When ships are navigating through the port, the tide height is predicted from the observed data and forecast tide heights of multiple observation stations. Thus, a valid tidal window period is secured when the ships enter the port. Comparative analysis of the ship’s tidal window period with that of the measured one can lead us to conclude that the forecasted data has a strong correlation with the measurement. So, our proposed algorithm can accurately predict the tide height and calculate the node timing when the ship enters and depart the port. Finally, these results can be applied for the safe navigation of large deep-draft ships when the port is at high tide.

In the present study, the Eastern Star ferry accident was analyzed via 24Model. 24Model, as an accident causation model based on system thinking, holds that all causations of the accident are hazards and all hazards in the system need to be identified and comprehensively controlled in accident prevention. The result showed that five factors were the main causes of the accident. First, the direct causes: bad weather, the bad condition of the hull and the unsafe acts of the captain. Second, the indirect cause: the lack of safety awareness and safety knowledge of both the captain and the company’s senior management. Third, there were loopholes in safety management system, including the training, supervision and execution of the company. Forth, the root cause: the company didn’t establish a good safety culture. Last, the external causes: the severe market pressure, excessive regulatory authorities with puzzled relations and responsibilities—seriously hindered effective supervision. In order to prevent this kind of accident and to secure shipping system, the shipping companies and the relevant regulatory units should draw lessons from the five factors mentioned above, and take measures to identify and control those hazards.
