Opis:
The processes of globalization and increased competitiveness resulted in the fact that companies have begun to look for solutions and strategies that give opportunities for development and further market expansion. The intensification of competition on the global scale in the 1980s, forced companies to offer low cost, high quality and robust products with greater design flexibility. Various management concepts have been used to improve production efficiency and speed up the cycle. In the 1990s, many manufacturers and service providers began to focus on improving collaboration with suppliers and improving purchasing and supply management. Initially the cooperation was mainly developed in the area of purchasing policies and supply management in factories, but as time went on, it became increasingly popular among wholesalers and retailers who also decided to integrate their transport and logistics functions in a supply chain with a view to gain competitive advantage (Choon T.). The increase in customer requirements with the same pressures to reduce costs and accelerate time service delivery resulted in the growing importance of planning and anticipation of future events. The increasing amount of data makes management depended on systems that allow for rapid decision-making. Apart from ERP systems, which mainly support the management of individual businesses, more and more companies invest in APS systems (Advanced Planning System), which provide better support in planning processes throughout the supply chain. The aim of the article is to present the idea of advanced supply chain planning, constraints and challenges facing the managing the flow of products and information. The study also addressed the role of Advanced Planning Systems in supply chain management and identify main problems and obstacles that users and decision makers come across while implementing and using IT systems

Manufacturing companies are the crucial link in a supply chain; they shape goods directly as operational subject. Special consideration has been taken of the micro logistics area of these enterprises and the significance that the area plays in the formation of the chain. Production of goods is associated with managing multiple processes, both manufacturing and logistics, and therefore an important factor determining the proper functioning of an enterprises is their relative connection and systematization.

Opis:
The innovation and practicality of SCM solutions has been used in the construction industry relatively recently. Companies and construction companies have recognized the concept of supply chain management as a way to reduce costs, improve production quality, shorten project execution time and increase scheduling flexibility. Construction Supply Chain (CSC) refers to the whole project. The links in this chain are the suppliers and recipients of raw materials, materials, machines and equipment, people (workers), money and technical documentation, as well as many different information and intangible assets that are necessary for the execution of works and structures. Well planned and developed logistics concepts and logistics management solutions provide the opportunity for efficient project execution and cost reduction related to logistics as well as total project cost. An important element in increasing the efficiency of the project is the proper coordination of the logistics processes of all its stakeholders at every stage of the investment cycle. High risk of construction investment, mortgage crisis and high customer demand - this is the real estate market nowadays. Looking for solutions, on the one hand minimizing the costs of contractors, on the other hand it is important to maintain the high quality of the product. Can CSCM be the answer to the current state of affairs?

Opis:
The dynamic changes in the global economy has caused the rapid growth of transport needs. Outsourcing and off-shoring has increased the distance between the particular places where the production process is provided. Therefore, logistics has become more macro-scale than before. Maritime traffic is therefore the main transport mode served a global movements of goods. Such companies like Maersk, NYK or Hanjin are today a global transport players offering a wide scope of service. Proper functioning of maritime transport needs also a good developed system of seaports. Effectiveness and efficiency of global transport is depend on seaports infrastructure, equipment, staff and management. So, seaports has become a critical element of supply chains concept. In the following analysis, the relation between the main requirements of supply chain management (SCM) and contemporary practice of seaports management are investigated. The type of port management systems and its operation model will reflect on the possibility of implementation of SCM. In the last part of presented elaboration main pros and cons of particular solutions of port management are defined and indicated.

Opis:
Building entrepreneurial companies is associated with taking actions to enable their general development, leading to application of innovative solutions, both in technology and management. Modern economy and pervasive crisis force entrepreneurs to search for alternative means for supporting the progress in order to be able to fight for customers against ‘foreign countries of cheaper production’ and, at the same time, to not being forced to use "drastic" methods of reducing production costs. This paper presents the already existing solutions that are not fully used in Polish reality, which are the network structures (clusters) that have beneficial economic impact and build integrated supply chains. The author is taking a theoretical attempt to connect concept of supply chains and clusters. Consolidation will relieve the individual companies and thereby will create opportunities to take new - common – actions, which together will create entrepreneurial network structure and bring individual benefits.

Opis:
The article shows that in the context of accelerating the processes of economic integration in aviation logistics at the micro, meso and macro levels, complicating the forms of business organization, the emergence of new forms of cooperation between companies and new ways of jointly creating added value, many organizational boundaries in the economy are becoming more blurred and dynamic. The use of the concept of “ecosystem” in research is growing. An attempt is made to consider the possibility of using the “ecosystem” design for economic analysis at the aggregated level and to highlight the elements of the aviation logistics ecosystem on which the attention of researchers will be focused. From the authors’ point of view, the aviation logistics ecosystem is a combination of aviation, logistics, transport and postal organizations, which provides goods express delivery supply chains with the system of interconnected technologies. In the framework of the article analysis of air cargo industry framework, synchronization and digitization of service operations in air cargo service supply chain, express delivery supply chains were represented. The authors proposed a mathematical model that allows logisticians to optimize the supply chain of special categories of goods, which is one of the priority tasks of the aviation logistics ecosystem.

Aiming at meeting the general EU transport policy objective, the EC has started promoting very actively the sustainable development of the member states transport systems. Putting into effect common framework and methodology for estimating the external costs of transport activities and specifying how external costs can be internalized in all modes of transport, the EC intends to minimize their negative impact on all spheres of human activity. This strategy needs to apply social marginal cost pricing (SMCP) for the use of transport infrastructure. It could, however, induce significant changes on the EU transport markets and subsequently affect the supply networks and logistics supply chains leading to their rationalization in terms of optimizing transport and inventory costs.

The article deals with some phenomena of internationalization of economic and social processes, especially in the context of more and more complex supply processes. They got even more complicated during the pandemic. It was emphasized that a very serious situation forces the use of even unconventional solutions or the search for alternative ways to replace what has been strained by the emerging crisis. In a fairly extensive ending, the prospects for a supply chain strategy have been presented.

The pace of economic growth, despite the crisis bogey still appearing somewhere near, is taking on speed on an unprecedented scale in the history of the mankind. The number of inventions currently being the subject of patent procedures or the quantity and quality of implementations of various types of solutions that improve and facilitate our lives - both professional and private - leads to a situation that we treat these changes more often as a normal thing, which does not arouse our admiration. During the preparation for this publication, the main focus was put on finding the answer to the question whether we are able to observe these changes, define them and assess them. The correct identification and definition of the area of changes is only half of the success. The second important, if not more important, problem is the issue of proper naming and examining the threats that affect these changes.

Opis:
This paper attempts to point out the continued confusion in some literature with respect to the concepts of marketing and logistics, and their relatedness. These are usually, and maybe inadvertently, treated as separate and independent functions. This frame of reference can often lead to costly mistakes. Authors frequently describe them as if they are two different functions: that of marketing, and that of logistics. Actually, logistics is a submix of marketing. The fact that logistics is a part of marketing is usually ignored. This kind of approach is still prevalent in most writing. Yet we must talk about two submixes of marketing, one of which is logistics, or servicing demand, and the other, which is obtaining demand. Therefore, the connection and interdependence of marketing and logistics terminology must be put into their proper place for correct and complete analysis. For this purpose, a Dual Subfunction Model is presented to tie together logistics and the remaining part of marketing. This model may serve as a guide for more accurate analyses, or at least as a reminder for consideration by novices.
