Opis:
Considerations about the role of film in the life of a young person relate to the functions, which he serves with stress being put on the didactic targets that it can serve. As an example, three film productions were presented – two feature films and one documentary (‘Klub Winowajców’, ‘Powiedz prawdę, przecież cię nie biję’, ‘Dziennik.pl’) of which the main characters are young people and are mostly aimed at young people. Those propositions can form a starting point for a discussion with the youth about e.g. itself; the environment in which it lives; relations with others (parents, contemporaries, teachers).

This text deals with one of the neglected topics of contemporary social pedagogy which extends to developmental psychology and sociology. This topic is so-called cult of youth which is often mentioned in the academic literature, but has not been precisely conceptualized. This text was therefore focused on the definition of basic category, i.e. youth, and then discussed the relationship to the cult of youth and the individual elements that helps to form it. The cult of youth is associated with so called youth culture, which has been spread and produced by global media. The influence of the media has been already evident from the 60’s of the 20th century, when we often talk about American cultural hegemony which presents within its production the popular culture and youthful lifestyle, which is then presented in magazines, music media, fashion industry, etc. For contemporary capitalist society the concept of the cult of youth is a useful concept as only successful, young and efficient individuals can consume new and new products (as well as use the services) typical for this still-rising imaginary phase of human life. Therefore the cult of youth is the domain of successful people who do not want to lose their success. Only socially successful can try to be “forever young”.

The contemporary labour market is characterised by broadly understood flexibility which conditions the uncertainty of the professional situation of a person participating therein. One of the factors increasing their chances to have a successful career are not only relevant competences, qualifications and proactive behaviours to the benefit of their own development, but also their trust in their own abilities. In this article it has been attempted to confirm the thesis on the existence of co-dependence between the individual’s proactivity and self-efficacy in the process of developing a professional career. To this end, a review of selected theoretical depictions on both, constructs and results of research explorations specifying mutual relations, was conducted. The observations made have both, theoretical and practical implications that are interesting in cognitive terms. The analysis thereof may prove to be especially important with regard to young people who are preparing to enter the labour market.

The text, which is part of the new field of social sciences – Donbas Studies, presents partial results of the research carried out in the city of Severodonetsk, which is located in the Lugansk Oblast in Donbas. The author, using the ethnographic method of field research, was looking for an answer to the question of how the process of decommunization in Donbas proceeded, and in particular, how the sense of removing the symbols of communism was negotiated, what aspects of this process turned out to be socially conflicting, and what role young people played in this process? Using the interpretation of metaphors and etymologies, the author states that de-communization in Ukraine, apart from the official imperative of oblivion, brings an element of revenge with it. Thanks to participation in the discussion on the de-communization of young people, it is possible to notice that its field of meaning has been extended to include aspects relating not only to the assessment of the past, but also the current social situation in Ukraine. Thanks to this, de-communization does not only mean an order to forget, but also to remember.

Opis:
One of the main goals to be achieved by the youth concerns their attempts to form one's own identity. The participation in an ambiguous and ambivalent space of the contemporary reality produces various experiences, in all of which they are tying to find some helpful clues for creating the personal "self". Technological development and an increasing role of the graphic forms of information transmission in the sociocultural life oftentimes contribute to the employment of a generous and easily obtainable selection of motion pictures by the young. Those films tend to draw a spectator into the world of heroes who constantly succeed on the chosen path and continually fulfil their dreams. The main message being transmitted through many films towards the teenage receiver is simple: "you can be whoever you want to be – you just have to believe in yourself and start acting". That maxim makes the film characters' lifestyle highly desired by teenagers; the way of living displayed on the screen quite often becomes a source of their aspirations.

Modern reality is ambivalent, heterogenous, ambiguous and unpredictable. The living conditions it creates aren’t easy for adolescing people forced to realize many developmental tasks. Among theese tasks is forming a mature vision of reality. This article presents the postmodern view of the world from the perspective of young people, based on research conducted on high school graduates. It shows young people as very reflective, critical towards certain aspects of postmodernity but at the same time, due to highly developed adaptational skills, able to find their place in the world and make use of its possibilities.

The aim of this article is to present the threats and opportunities in the fields of education and the professional situation of Moroccans, especially young people who both try to find their place on the local labor market and emigrate mainly to Western European countries, largely to France, Spain and Italy, seeking stabilization. The recent reforms and unilateral or multilateral initiatives of international consortia, governments, agencies, and non-governmental organizations operating globally and locally are a chance to create a most stable labor market for young people. Often these are micro-scale activities, but the activation and professional support on a micro scale may translate into the effects of improving quality on a macro scale, throughout the country. The aim of this article is to analyze the contexts of teaching in the film „Suicide room”. At the outset they presented examples of the role of film in education. Subsequently was presented story of the film. An essential part of the article states while presenting the meanings of pedagogy we could see in the film. First of all, „Suicide Room” is a film whose story is firmly anchored in the contemporary world entangled in the net, with particular emphasis on two phenomena: cyberbullying and addiction to the virtual world. The film Suicide Room is also an interesting picture of the family. Also in the subjective reception, it is a film about loneliness and lost in the harsh reality of the modern world. This is an interesting picture being a prelude to multi-context discussion of the condition of individuals, families and generations living in the postmodern society.

The aim of this paper is to analyze students’ opinions about the contemporary generation of young people in the context of the transformation of the modern world, which are not without impact on the functioning of young people. Characteristics of global change society and the analysis of the syndrome society of late modernity has become the basis to approximate the results own research. The perception of youth from the perspective of their peers was one of the undertaken research problems in the study of life orientations of students. The article presents the opinions and views students about their peers, also in comparison with other results of research, which completes the picture of today’s youth, conscious processes and transformations of the modern world.

The author presents the outcome of her own research on the in uence of the pop culture on self-body image. In the research, di erent aspects of self-body image are taken into account: being t, healthy and being goodlooking or pretty. The analysis of the scienti c research persuades the reader that mass media are important but not the most important source of information which they use to judge? their bodies. The accommodation of children and young people of foreign descent to new life conditions and educational challenges abroad is a process that takes place primarily in the context of social interactions. The aim of the article below is to present selected experiences in terms of integrating schoolchildren of Polish origin in Germany. The author considers the presentation of school space as an integration microcosm of its own to be of particular importance. It is worth noting that the German educational system in the present form often discriminates againsts choolchildren of foreign descent and limits the opportunities for further education. The author’s own empirical verifications served as the research illustration in the text. The verifications, though carried out on a small sample, indicate some timeless trends among young Polish immigrants.

The post-modern reality, including the multitude of changes and expanding volumes of offers force the individual to continually redefine themselves. A person existing in contemporary reality is permanently on the search for their identity, in order to finally find the most suitable one, which (as it usually turns out nowadays) does not exist. Youths make a choice within the range of education offers. They more often than not decide to study, with studying being the reason for delaying the moment of entry into adulthood and taking over social roles that are specific for the period of young adulthood. In making this choice, young people enter the phase of so-called emerging adulthood, which for a while now has been a new, separate phase of development, fitting in between adolescence and young adulthood. They are not passing through the complex process of puberty any more, however, they do not always have a mature identity. They find themselves in a period characterised by intense exploration. The article attempts to describe the specifics of this stage, additionally presenting an overview of studies on the mode of coping with issues of identification characterising the early adulthood period.
