Opis:
The paper compares performance of Baldwin's fuzzy reasoning based on a fuzzy truth value with the fastest available solutions. The analysis is important in order to locate areas where improvement of the first is the most significant. Potential fast approach based on the fuzzy truth value would be very interesting for many users applying fuzzy systems to solve problems involved with complex knowledge bases. Particularly, all research considering an analysis of genes employing DNA microarrays. Such methods very often generate rules with thousands of atomic premises. The most valuable advantage of Baldwin's reasoning is preserving a fuzzy relation between a fact and a premise in the inference process, where other solutions, especially those commonly used, usually reduce it to only one value. Obtaining the method which, from computation time point of view, is comparable with common approaches but offers more advanced process of fuzzy reasoning, would be a significant achievement. The goal of this analysis is to prepare the future research considering development of Baldwin's method, which computational complexity is comparable to simple, fast and widely used solutions like systems based on the approach of Mamdani and Assilan or Larsen.

Opis:
In empirical sciences, among others - in medicine, domain data - stored in different repositories - are the most important source of domain information. There is a great number of methods, including semantic data integration, that enable to acquire domain knowledge from such data and express it in a convenient form. In the paper we propose a model for rules with uncertainty (2-uncertain rules) that can be obtained from somewhat heterogeneous data, written in a common format of tuples. The rules are uncertain implications, with complex premises and single conclusions, and two specific reliability factors. In addition, we propose functions for propagating uncertainty through reasoning chains in Rule-Based Systems (RBSs) with such rules in their knowledge base.

Opis:
Fuzzy systems are widely used in research and applications considering complex information like gene recognition and classification. Because of the character of genetic data, the extensive knowledge bases of such systems contain complex rules described by even thousands of atomic premises. This paper presents an analysis of fuzzy reasoning based on a fuzzy truth value, presented by Baldwin. The solution is an interesting, alternative approach to fuzzy inference. Considering the Zadeh’s compositional rule of inference, the idea of Baldwin has an advantage of resolving the whole inference process within the truth space. The approach is especially convenient for systems with large number of premises in rules, like mentioned gene classification systems. Although the solution of Baldwin is characterized by significantly lower computational complexity than the full implementation of the compositional rule of inference, it is not applied in contemporary systems. Over the years different researchers proposed simplified approaches, which are easier to implement and faster. The analysis presented in this paper considers possible simplifications that could be applied to the approach of Baldwin, where facts and fuzzy truth values are described by triangular membership functions. Such assumptions open the possibility of implementation of fast Baldwin’s inference and applications even for complex genetic data. Nevertheless, the solution would preserve one of the biggest advantage, which is the fuzzy relation, in form of the truth function, between a fact and a premise, throughout the whole inference process. Other fast approaches reduce this relation to only one value.

Emotional Intelligence as cybernetics approach is using cognitive reasoning to collect the subjective attribute of human subject interacted with a system for providing technical advice. This talk contributes in new Cybernetics paradigm on using multidisciplinary in decision making. It is related to the construction of Avatar that can interact with human subject for collecting subjective attributes (emotional and cognitive) and objective attributes (physical), for decision making. paper extends reasoning issues on medical diagnosis related to Virtual Doctor System (VDS). Intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation functions have been used to represent concept reflective to the mental model of the VDS. The VDS project used two physical ontology model and mental ontology model aligned on medical ontology for reasoning. In this paper the mental ontology related to medical diagnosis is the main emphasis. The mental Ontology is represented as two models: Emotion state model, and ego state model. The attributes of mental state are represented as fuzzy intuitionistic criteria. The emotion state related attributes are represented using harmonic hybrid weighted Ordered Intuitionistic fuzzy aggregation function. The ego state related attributes are represented using Bonferroni hybrid weighted average aggregate function. The both aggregate functions as well as the physical ontology aggregate functions are aligned on medical knowledge based for producing aligned inquiry for reasoning in medical knowledge. The model is built for testing.

The approximate reasoning based on a fuzzy truth value is based on a different view of linguistic statements and comparing with the compositional rule of inference has some advantages. Benefits of the method are especially important for fuzzy expert systems with large sets of premises. The problem is very common for many applications in medicine, biology and biometry. By a short analysis of the approach and comparing to the compositional rule of inference the paper emphasizes the most important advantages of a possible implementation, which is particularly significant for the mentioned fields.

Opis:
The article concerns the analysis of classification of medical data by use of selected method of artificial intelligence: case-based reasoning. The subject of the research is the assessment of effective treatment, being one of the most important medical problems. The basis work of the assessment system should be one of the classification methods. The aim of the attempted research is to study which of the enumerated method will be able to group data containing incomplete information in the best way. The classified data are descended from the patients with nephroblastoma and patients with backbone pain. The final aim of the research is to work out the functioning method of the learning system, assisting the doctor with making a decision during working out on patient's treatment therapy, and making analyses of the treatment effectiveness. On the basis of the medical tests, the system will classify the data assigning them to the appropriate therapy groups. Moreover, in the system will be used artificial immunology as the method of generalizing or extrapolating of the gathering and considering so far cases.

In the paper some examples of reasoning with 2-uncertain rules are presented. First of all, they will illustrate the method for designing 2-uncertain rules from medical aggregate data. The obtained rules compose the knowledge base of a medical Rule-Based System (RBS) aiding medical diagnosis and treatment. For each obtained rule two determined factors of rules' reliability - global and internal ones - will rank it in the designed RBS. Furthermore, the presented examples will realize the influence of the reliability factors on the process of uncertain reasoning.
