Opis:
The experimental research presented in this paper concerning the evaluation and the development of oral ability of Polish children with impaired hearing system. The aim of the research was the assessment, evaluation of positive changes in the level of oral development. The research have been conducted with the use of two computer attachments: Laryngograph Processor PCLX and Nosality, connected to a PC computer. The obtained results and following practical conclusions can serve as guidelines in clinical and logopedical applications in voice rehabilitation and communication development of groups of non-hearing children whose native language is not necessarily Polish.

Opis:
The paper presents a new method of diagnosis and therapy of nasality process, based on two computer attachments, used for visualisation of speech signals analysis. All kinds of nasality: closed, opened and mixed, were taken under consideration. In this article the Nasality Processor application was presented. Works have been illustrated by examples of statements, voiced by children with significantly or deeply impaired reception of a hearing system. The experimental works were discussed, explaining the nasality processes, carried out on statistically important group of children with hearing defects. Based on this research approach the new method of diagnosis and children voice rehabilitation, with oral problems, has been proposed. It concerns the right nasal resonance category that corrects or removes the nasality diseases.

Opis:
The research presented in this paper deals with the speech signal with use of elecroglotography method analysis issue. This is an instrumental analysis, so the device called Laryngograph is presented, as a practical application. In this paper capabilities of this device are estimated. The very interesting fact is that the visualization of the speech signal obtained using Laryngograph allows to detect its acoustically and phonetically most important features, and presenting them in a graphical form. The analysis process performed using a computer and the specified computer attachment is easier, faster and ensures higher quality than other methods. Computer voice recording enables not only visualization but also objective assessment and its repetitiveness. In the context of presented questions, practical capabilities of integrated system for speech examination - Speech Studio are discussed.

Opis:
The subject matter of this paper is a multileyered objective analysis of extipartion phonomicrosurgery in treatment of benign vocal cords lesions, assessed in electroglottographic examinations. A group of 26 patients with benign larynx lesions were included in a prospective clinical trial. All phonomicrosurgery procedures were conducted at the Department of Otolaryngology at the CM UJ in Kraków. For electroglottographic analysis the following were used: mean irregularity factor for the word "ola", and the voice profile for the vowel "a" using the mean parameter of glottis closure Qx - mean, mean frequency of glottis tone - Fx mean, Jitter factor first mean and Schimmer factor plus mean. In electroglottographic assessment after the phonomicrosurgical procedures stable improvement of the phonation function of larynx. This trial proved the usefulness of the electroglottographic examinations for the multi-layered analysis of the phonation function of glottis in diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from vocal cords polyps.
