Opis:
This paper presents many varied mobile platform suited for different kinds unmanned ground vehicles applications. The Unmanned Ground Vehicle's platform is the glue that holds together all the other aspects ofafield able tactical military unmanned ground vehicle. Unless the platform exhibits a high degree of mobility and outstanding ruggedness it will fail to achieve its target location. If the UGV can not deploy its sensor s at the correct location then the mission is rendered useless. The platform should merge the drive system, a power supply system sufficient for the required mission period, an advanced communication system capable of returning real-time information to the user and a user friendly Human machine Interface that allows long term, stress free operations. The platform must have a very high immunity to electro-magnetic interference, and logistically any tactical UGV must not impose a heavy load on available systems or manpower. Unmanned Ground Vehicle technology areas, platforms for reconnaissance, surveillance and EOD missions, the first dedicated IED disposat robotic platform "Wheelbarrow", remotely controlled French tank (AMX30B2) for mine clearance operations, All terrain vehicle Gamma Goat, schematic of typical hybrid electric power train for UGVs, AHED 8x8 Phantom view revealing power and propulsion are presented in the paper.

Opis:
One of the applications of Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV) consists in conducting tasks connected to removing and disposing of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED). The tasks are often performed in hard to reach places, on off-road terrain, with weights and dimensions of explosives which require the use of work attachments of considerable lifting capacities. Due to this, it is necessary to equip the robot with suspension designed for performing such tasks. Because of variable character of the charges which are subjected to the chassis of robots, it is necessary to build a suspension with variable characteristics and examine efficiency of its action. One of the research methods that can be used for that purpose are the simulations based on the method of Multibody Systems. The paper presents a hydro-pneumatic suspension system of an EOD robot, which has been developed at the Military University of Technology, describes its model, simulation findings and the initial verification thereof based on a real object. Apart from that, special consideration is given to the quality and effectiveness of UGV suspension systems. The development of a basic platform enables the use of the platform for various purposes as a carrier of a multi-sensor system for detecting dangerous materials or for carrying other attachments.

Opis:
Contemporary and future battlefield may be characterized by a great dynamism of action in both defensive and offensive operations. It is possible, that armoured and mechanized troops, acting at first attack, will suffer from shortages of supplies of materials and other equipment, especially propellants. It concerns particularly a fuel to engines of driving vehicles. Therefore in many cases for engine powering (as multi-propellant engines or adapted to work on substitute fuels) may be used substitute fuel. The fuel parameters sometimes may be much different from parameters of diesel. So it is substantially important to estimate their dynamics during the planning stage of combat missions. Paper includes attempt to estimate dynamic features of the combat vehicles using substitute propellants. Applying substitute propellants leads to reducing the power of the engine up to 10 % comparing to diesel. It has essential impact on lowering the dynamic ratio at similar level. That leads to lower maximum drive speed at given resistance ofmotion and reducing the ability to climb slopes. There also appears deterioration of spurt, extending the time of reaching speeds at about 17%. Paper shows results of traction calculations of combat vehicles and the influence of powering them with renewable fuel on their effectiveness.
