Opis:
The challenge to the manufacturer or service provider is how to assess and define true customer expectations and then how to design, manufacture and sell the product to best meet those expectations. Each product must provide operational capabilities, which allow military forces to maintain technical and logistic superiority over a potential adversary even if it is just natural or induced environment, which can be expected over the operating and maintenance portion of life cycle. Battle damage repair is a critical factor in managing operation. We acknowledge that traditional cost minimizing measures are not always central and other performance measures such as time of repair, reliability and availability become more relevant. Assessing aircraft damages in the field and making appropriate decisions on the reparability, making repairs at the lowest repair level possible and evaluating airworthiness of subsequent repairs is critical to the air forces maintaining its force projection capability. Among other, combat damage of helicopters, damaged areas and erosion on leading edges of the compressor first stage rotor blades, achievable and optimum solution, goal function – duration minimisation, goal function – cost minimisation are presented in the paper.

In this paper there have been presented results of an analysis of repair efficiency for an emergency repair subsystem (technical service units) in a selected transportation system. The research object was a real system of municipal transportation, in a given urban agglomeration. Experimental data, necessary to determine values of indexes describing efficiency of repairs performed by the technical service units, come from a selected group of technical objects (city buses) used in the analyzed system. The data was obtained on the basis of experimental tests conducted within the studied system, employing a method of passive experiment, in conditions natural for the technical objects functioning. This work presents a method according to which the values have been determined and the analysis of efficiency of repairs performed within the emergency subsystem has been made. The values of repair efficiency assessment concern selected systems of the analyzed buses. The selection of these systems was made taking into consideration the number of the studied systems failures. The obtained results have been demonstrated in the form of tables and graphically, in charts. On this basis, there has been made an analysis of efficiency of repairs performed by emergency repair units. Due to its general character, the presented method can be used for an assessment of repair efficiency both within operation and maintenance systems of technical objects of different types and efficiency of repairs performed at particular repair stations, groups of stations or subsystems providing vehicles with serviceability.

The paper presents research on expedient repairs, including battle damage repair methods of hydro-pneumatic pipes with adhesives. According to analyzed publications concerning battle damage of military equipment, various pipes and lines, which are used in military vehicles and aircrafts, are one of the most often damaged parts during combat operations. During experimental tests, the efficiency of damaged pipes repair was researched. Various methods of repair depending on pressure in the pipe and sort of damage were considerate. To conduct experimental tests of repair two kind of adhesive were used. It was composite adhesive Belzona 1111, which is used by many armies of NATO, and epoxy adhesive Epidian 57 hardened with Z-1. The conducted experiments proofed that both low pressure and even high pressure hydro-pneumatic pipes can be repaired in the field conditions with considered adhesives. Presented methods of repairs can be very useful especially during combat operations when the access to spare parts and disposal time is limited. Using to repair the manufacturer’s composite adhesive without any strengthening should be limited to low pressure pipes. The specific properties of epoxy adhesives must be considered before applying to repair, especially change of mechanical and utilitarian features at higher temperature.
