Opis:
The most important aspect of constructions of vehicles is safety. In motorcycles, in contrast to cars is not common to use elements of passive safety which minimalize consequences of collision. Therefore the most important is to ensure the proper possibility to avoid crash that is the adequate level ofactive safety which is mostly the brake system. It is often assisted by the construction which prevents the wheels to block, however the majority of motorcydes are still not equipped in this kind of system. In order to determine the effectiveness of working of the brake system and its impact on motorcycle 's movement safety, it is necessary tofocus on case of emergency braking, that is delaying, to full stop where important is to reach the maximal possible delay in the shortest period of time. Because of the changes in road surface, important is to be aware of releasing or stopping the motorcycle in different conditions. It permits us to react properly and avoid dangerous situations in case of noticing a surface with different adherence. The purpose of the research is to analyze changeability braking process depending on different surfaces on which the motorcycle is moving. The research was carried out on one motorcycle and four different surfaces, reflecting the conditions of every day use of vehicle. It was dry, wet and destroyed asphalt, and gravel surface. Comparing the value of delay, its process and stability in time, velocity of accumulation and way of braking obtained on different surfaces.

Opis:
Transportation systems belong to the category of systems whose operation safety depends on many factors including: technical state of transport means, behavior of people involved in the system operation and maintenance and its environment, and finally the environmental factors. The system environment is referred to as all the elements, which, though not belonging to the system, are closely related to it. The environment, which is of interest for the authors of this paper, is the road infrastructure and atmospheric conditions. Construction solutions of the infrastructure, the road surface type and condition, temperature, visibility, precipitations, and time of day are referred to as external factors whose impact involves changes in safety of the transportation system operation. The impact of external factors can be in different forms and can affect the transport means as well as people involved in the system operation, especially the drivers. The literature provides a concept of excessive sense of a driver’s safety, which can be caused by good road conditions, dry and good road surface, etc. This is of particular importance in case of public transportation systems providing transport services on the territory of a town where the effects of external factors account for nearly 44% of adverse events causes. This study deals with identification of these factors and assessment of their influence on the analysed transportation system safety.

Opis:
Paper presents the methodology of maintaining dependability of devices used in process with use particular scheduled methods of maintenance. Presented in paper methods are dedicated for particular area and included there machines, devices, auxiliary system or tools. Presented in paper selected method and area are connected and have influence for each other. Methods are combination of operators experience, recommendation of production line supplier and engineers approach. Selected areas enfold both, operating and maintenance issues. From production process point of view, operating area which is mostly focused on steering of the process and maintenance area which is mostly focused on maintaining dependability of included into process machines and devices on satisfy level, should be treated with the same importance. Situation whit taking care about operational issues and forgetting about maintenance issues can work out only for very short time. Opposite situation is not possible to imagine. Operational area and maintenance area are interconnected and can be beneficial only in cooperation. Another problem connected with that is peoples' understanding, they have to accept that their jobs in their areas can be profitable with strongly and proper cooperation with jobs and positive attitude of people from other area. Production process consist from operation and maintenance area as well and only with this approach can be profitable for owners and all employees. Presented in paper methods touches both operational and maintenance areas as well. Paper is summarizing by results of experiment coming from practice.
