Opis:
The research article discusses the advantages of using compressor downstream air partial bleed and supplying it downstream of the turbine, which was applied in a prototype of a “bypass” turbojet engine. The objective of such a turbo engine structural solution was discussed along with its elements and principle of operation. Further part of the article determines the impact of such partial air bleed on the value of achieved basic operating parameters of the engine, i.e., unit thrust and unit power consumption. The presented attempt to compare these parameters with the parameters achieved for a turbojet, single flow engine is very important; in the first case without air bleed, and in the second, with air bleed to the environment. Further sections of the article compared these parameters relative to a turbojet, turbofan engine with a jet mixer. Such comparisons enabled to determine the actual benefits of using compressor downstream air partial bleed and supplying it downstream of the turbine, which may constitute an intermediate solution between single flow turbine engines and turbo fan engines. Wide possibilities for the application of such structural solutions were shown, which was summarised in the conclusions.

Opis:
The issues addressed in this paper concern the effect of pressure in the Common Rail accumulator on the engine operating parameters such as its torque, power output, rotational speed as well as its hourly and specific fuel consumption. Here, the research methods were performed by using the engine test bench strictly in accordance with the specific standards but particularly according to the requirements specified by these standards. The research station was the Fiat Multijet 1.3 JTD engine with turbocharging and direct injection, used as a power unit in the motor cars. Additionally, the experimental tests were run by using also (1) the HP-made measuring set for measurements the high pressure (up to 2,500 bars) in the Common Rail system, and (2) the CDIF/2 diagnostic interface. All relationships are presented in the form of graphs, and what is found here is the increasing linear relationship between the p rail pressure and the engine speed: with an increase in speed comes a decrease in the total injection time. The torque and its power output were a function of both the pressure in the Common Rail accumulator and the speed. It was found that the highest total engine efficiency (fuel consumption per unit) was for the rail pressure ranging from 1,000 to 1,100 bars. The findings come up for discussion about the apt choice of pressure in the rail, together with the total injection time and the turbocharger highest efficiency, for the specified speed of a car power unit.

Opis:
Article discusses issues concerning diagnosing and researching fuel unit injectors (UI). This fuel system has been taken off in automobiles but the problems with diagnosing and research is still actually. Motorized vehicles with fuel unit injector system were manufactured until 2010 but lorries are still producing. Only one automotive concern VW put in this system to motorized vehicles in Europe. The 1.9 TDI engines have PDE 1 (UI) and 1.4 TDI, 2.0 TDI engines have PDE 2 (UI). Unit injector is device which main tasks are spray and distribute fuel in combustion chamber of Diesel engine. Unit fuel injector is built with three sections: fuel injection nozzle complex, electromagnet unit and pump part. Injection nozzle complex is common mechanical one spring injector. That research is on check and eventually adjusts open pressure. Electromagnet units are non-dismantle and non-repair, but there is possibility dismantle and clean it. Electromagnet unit affects injection dosages and module BIP (being of injection period) unit fuel injection. The task of pump part is fuel damming until demanding values. The pump part makes up piston with and main body, spring and protect flat piece of metal. Theoretically, also this element is non-repair. Main unit fuel injector work parameters are injection dosages values and signal BIP. During fuel unit injectors research checks injection dosages with varies settings (rotation speed, injection time). These parameters are similar to engine work on idle speed (idle speed dosage), pilot dosage, middle and full load dosage.
