Opis:
The procedure for calculation of a car maximal acceleration during speeding up with changing shifts of a gearbox in dependence on several independent parameters has been presented in the paper.  The parameters taken into consideration are the angle of a road slope and the additional vehicle load. The maximal acceleration for investigated vehicle category has been calculdted on the basis of many numerical simulations. During these simulations the dynamics of vehicle motion has been modelled for different road conditions. In order to approximate the results of acceleration the power polynomials were applied.  The least sąuare method has been used in calculations of polynomial coefficients. The results of modelling of the vehicles dynamics concern two passenger cars and one heavy duty car. Simulations of speeding up were obtained using the model of vehicle dynamics. Especially, model of vehicle, the traction characteristic of the passenger car with SI engine, the maximal driving force on  wheels during vehicle acceleration calculated on the basis of traction characteristic,   the maximal acceleration of the passenger cars and according to the model of vehicle dynamics during speeding up with changing shifts of a gearbox in dependence on different parameters of road slope and vehicle load are presented in the paper.

Opis:
An important issue, which should be taken into account while analyzing the dynamics of vehicles moving along an uneven road surface, is the proper representation of its real shape. Two mathematical models of the road surface - continuous and discrete were considered in the method presented in this paper. These models were used in the computer simulations of dynamics of a special vehicle with a high gravity centre, which moved along an uneven road surface. The simulations were carried out using the worked out program package, in which four main modules could be differentiated such as: preprocessor, solver, postprocessor and 3D animation. This package was implemented combined with the Blender graphics environment – in authors’ opinion it is an innovative approach. Owing to this models of uneven road surface (theoretically of any shapes) can be built and they are input data for both the solver and animation modules. Additionally, the Blender tool can be used to prepare 3D objects, which are used in the animation process of the moving model of a vehicle. According to the authors', developed program package developed on the basis of the mathematical models for the analyzed vehicle and road surface can be interesting for engineers designing special vehicles. By performing different types of the computer simulations, the engineers can improve the vehicle being built and reduce cost of its road test.

Opis:
Three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics (CFD) plays important role in engines development. The mixture formation in a direct-injection piston engines poses a huge challenge in successful simulations of the engine processes. It is due to the fact that the spray as a two-phase flow complicates the computational process. Moreover, this multiphase flow is not uniform. Three main zones, depending on the distance from the nozzle exit are visible when a liquid is injected. Very dense so called “thick” in a direct vicinity of the injector hole, than “thin” as a result of pri-mary breakup downstream the injector and finally in the certain distance from the injector appears “very thin” region as a result of secondary breakup. It is important to take into account that the liquid phase in various regimes behaves differently and is under influence of different phenomena. The modelling approach needs to take in to consideration all those elements. This paper focuses on presentation of the theory and numerical models for primary and secondary breakup phenomena. The primary breakup is a process that results from a combination of three mechanisms: turbu-lence within liquid phase, implosion of cavitation’s bubbles and aerodynamic forces acting on a liquid jet. Secondary breakup regime occurs mainly due to the aerodynamic interactions between the liquid and the gaseous phase.

Opis:
In this article we present a simplified model of centre differential control. At the beginning, the introduction highlights important role of center differential control and tests carried out using mathematical models. This work contains the full development of a model, consisting of: the equations which describe the vehicle, the structure of the model, important values and parameters used in the simulation. All these components allow you to expand an existing model, thus is not necessary to create it from the beginning. It presents detailed equations which were realized by a simulation model with a simplified block diagram illustrating the structure of the model and on the next the full structure. Then a concept of a simplified torque of split control system was described and which will be continue as the basis for the simulation model. The action of the control system is presented by the simulation model implemented in Matlab Simulink. Model refers to a linear motion in different road conditions and using the control of centre differential. In the following defines the parameters and data used in the model and the fifth chapter contains sample waveforms of model variables along with their brief description. The last two points are synthetic applications and supporting literature.

Opis:
The study presents an analysis of the impact of selected structural parameters in umprung industrial vehicles on their longitudinal oscillations. It was conducted on the basis of a simplified, linear, two-dimensional model in the form of a parametric spectral transmittance. Transfer function was developed on a number of simplifying assumptions, of which the more significant ones include: the assumption of small oscillations, the assumption that wheełs are in constant contact with the ground, lack of the impact of the horizontal components of the input on the vehicle dynamics, lack of the impact of the wheel slip and the drive system on the vehicle dynamics, single-point contact of the wheels with the ground etc. The qualitative correctness of the obtained results was partly verified by means of computations using a more complex simulation model of a vehicle by means of the MSC.Adams system. The conducted analyses demonstrate that structural parameters such as the moment of inertia and the value of the tir e damping have a crucial impact on the intensity of longitudinal oscillations in unsprung industrial vehicles. The impact of the oscillation coupling coefficient and the mass is significantly smaller.
