Opis:
The work presents issues with the structure and thermal calculations of mobile tank for transport and storage of LNG. A modern design of cryogenic tank container and stationery cryogenic tank is presented in the paper. Mobile cryogenics container tank has been designed for transportation of LNG as well as other liquefied cryogenic gases with the temperature down to -196 centigrade. The analysis included two types of logistics solutions: one involving the transport full container, which is removable from the vehicle and left in the workplace, and the second solution with reloading from mobile tank into simplified container tank or other mobile tank located in the workplace. Simplified container tank and mobile tank have been designed to storage some cryogenics gases as well as mobile container but without transportation of them. Modern and effective insulation materials were applied in the tank structure. Therefore, the liquefied cryogenic gases can be stored for a long time periods. Presented are selected depending on the extent of heat exchange in cryogenic conditions, as well as a model for FEM calculations of thermal insulation inside the tank and supports. Simulation results show the long storage times obtained for a simplified container which are close to the times obtained by stationary tanks, however a lot easier to transport without charge. Presented solutions and results of simulations may indicate, that depending on the requirements and considering manufacturing costs and operational conditions, the proper variant of the tank can be chosen.

Opis:
The paper presents theoretical evaluation of the effect of operating parameters on electric vehicle energy consumption and driving range. The objective of this study was to analyse the effect of temperature (at constant pressure) and traction properties on the energy consumption and driving range related to it of a chosen electric vehicle. The test methods assumed the analysis of parameters of the test object based on a simulation model. The evaluation involved a Nissan Leaf vehicle equipped with an electric motor, the torque characteristic curve of which was used in the test model. The values of basic and additional resistance to motion for the adopted conditions: external temperature and pressure-dependent air density, and vehicle technical parameters, such as its weight, capacitance of batteries, vehicle dimensions, type of drive system, drag coefficient and tyre dimensions, were determined. Basing on these data and the characteristic curve of engine torque, electric vehicle energy consumption and driving range were determined. The following relationships were obtained because of the analysis: vehicle energy consumption / vehicle driving range and external temperature, vehicle energy consumption / vehicle driving range and vehicle acceleration, vehicle energy consumption / vehicle driving range and acclivity slope. It was proven that the operating parameters could considerably increase the energy consumption and the driving range of an electric vehicle.

Opis:
Compression ignition engines are a major source of air pollution in big cities and the cause of smog. Therefore, it seems appropriate to quantify emissions of toxic components of combustion gases by compression ignition engines. In the paper, it was presented emission measurement results of selected components of exhaust gases such as CO, CO2, HC, O2, NOx, by indirect injection compression ignition engine. The object of the study was Andoria 4CTi90 engine. The research was carried out at the AVL engine test bench. Measurement results were shown in the form of external and load characteristics. It was interesting to compare the emissions of individual exhaust components of the 4CTi90 engine with the contemporary direct injection engine. The measurements carried out at the Department of Automotive Engineering at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin on the Fiat 1.3 JTD Multijet engine showed that the emissions of the considered exhaust gas components in conditions of external characteristics, for the rotational speed of 4000 1/min, were much higher than the Andoria engine. The study assumed the measurement of hydrocarbon emissions, however, within almost the entire range it was zero. Only for the speed of 4000 min-1, the meter showed values slightly higher than zero. The authors believe that it would be interesting to compare the exhaust emissions of the 4CTi90-1BE engine and the ADCR engine.
