Opis:
As the horizontal axis wind turbines are getting larger, their dynamic behaviour is becoming more important. Dynamic analysis gives knowledge how to improve efficiency and safety also in small wind turbines. This article describes numerical models of chosen components of upwind, three-bladed wind turbine. Geometry of each component is generated separately and then assembled together by transformation matrices. Material of the blades is composite, the hub is assumed to be made of steel and material of the planet carrier is casted iron. These mentioned components are modelled by shell elements. The numerical model of the hub takes into account aerodynamic and gravity loads of blades, inertia forces due to rotation of the rotor and aerodynamic damping. The aerodynamic loads, calculated according to the modified Blade Element Momentum theory, are attached to aerodynamic centres. Wind conditions were assumed for I-class wind turbine according to Germanischer Lloyd. Stress Reserve Factors were calculated for DLC 6.1 load case according to Germanischer Lloyd, too. As a first step, numerical strength analysis with using AnSYS software was performed with maximum values of principal stresses as an output. Then, based on FEM analysis results, Stress Reserve Factors were calculated. SRF values show that analyzed hub and planet carrier have sufficient strength for extreme loads. Methodology of safety margin evaluation presented in this paper allows assessing if the object fulfils relevant standards demanding.

Opis:
Analysis of possible hybrid drive for tracked vehicle solutions and also concept vehicle project is presented in the paper. Study ofpresent tracked vehicle state-of-art shows that in case majority of currently designed and developed military tracked vehicles projects modifications hybrid propulsion is taken into account. Based on that, authors have decided to develop concept hybrid tracked vehicle study. Basic parameters of concept vehicle are described at the beginning: total vehicle mass up to 14 Mg, maximum speed over 60 km/h and also possibility of stealth operation at the low speed using electric energy stored in batteries. Then, analysis of hybrid electric drives configurations is presented. Three versions of hybrid electric propulsions are considered: two series hybrid drives and one parallel. Then final version is chosen for further development with discussion on justification of the choice description. dynamic model assumptions and modelling methods are described in next section. As a result of simulation, acceleration diagrams for chosen operation modes are shown. As the final stage of concept study, virtual 3D model was built. Virtual modelling methods are used to optimize transmission components layout in a concept tracked vehicle hull.

Opis:
The article discusses the role of the modern approach to the design of autonomous utility vehicles. The study has been exemplified by a currently designed multi-purpose hybrid engineer vehicle. The article covers the application of modern hybrid drive and the suspension allowing for the regulation of the tension wheel. The drive system used in the described vehicle is a serial type. In contrast to the conventional solutions used so far in a similar vehicle, this system eliminate heavy and difficult parts to produce (e.g., gears) which allows to significant reduction of a vehicle's weight. The suspension system is based on the classical concept - with a torsional shafts. A movable tension wheel is an innovative element, which has been used in this suspension system. When the wheel is in the lower position the area of pressure increased so the force exerted on the ground is less. This option is useful in difficult, muddy off-road conditions. The Volvo Company wants to apply similar capabilities in their prototype diggers. In the article, the importance of the external appearance of the vehicle has been considered as well. A removable cab allows the remote control of the vehicle at any time and the same has been provided as an example of a modern solution concerning the external appearance of the vehicle.
