Opis:
This paper is about the process of learning/teaching philosophy in a class of deaf stu-dents. It starts with a presentation of Portuguese Sign Language that, as with other sign lan-guages, is recognized as a language on equal terms with vocal languages. However, in spite of the recognition of that identity, sign languages have specifi city related to the quadrimodal way of their production, and iconicity is an exclusive quality. Next, it will be argued that according to linguistic relativism - even in its weak version - language is a mould of thought. The idea of Philosophy is then discussed as an area of knowledge in which the author and the language of its production are always present. Finally, it is argued that learning/teaching Philosophy in Sign Language in a class of deaf students is linked to deaf culture and it is not merely a way of overcoming diffi culties with the spoken language

Opis:
This essay presents an interdisciplinary study of the role of the net society in education, and the appearance of a post-scientific culture in the Internet. However, the theory of a society rendered stupid by the Internet is one-sided and does not bear closer analysis. The appearance of incompetence and stupidity is only one of many behavioural traits of people using the Internet, and the net society, despite its specific nature, is in many ways similar to those functioning outside the Internet. Post-scientific culture need not be the only (or even the dominant) voice in the general Internet discussion. The creation of net societies which can perform the role of groups relating to a new scientific culture in the Internet have particular significance. A significant role can be played by new leaders and educated individuals who should be engaged in promoting a scientific culture. The Internet creates suitable conditions for transformative and emancipative learning, and it is only necessary to perceive them and use them appropriately.

Opis:
Young adulthood is a critical period because it is the time when young people begin to live on their own, and adopt health behaviours which can influence their lifestyle and health status. In social practice there are many community belongings and community-ba-sed support systems and programs in health, which aim to increase young adults’ health literacy and offer learning possibilities and support services. The study focuses on the education and the literacy as determinants of health, seve-ral fields of health education and health promotion related to young adults, elements and determinants of health culture, the links between health and learning, adults’ interest and claims related to learning process, methods, topics. In my research I made a survey of learning methods and contents with the help of the analysis of the scientific literature and by questionnaires. I examined young adults’ (18 to 30) concepts of health and healthy lifestyle, motivations, forms of communication, learningmethods and participation in community platforms of health. We use the results of this research to improve programs that support young people’s learning activities for health.
