Opis:
The work demonstrates the suppression of the inhibiting effect of the carbon dioxide absorption process by chlorophyll-synthesizing Chlorella microalgae due to sulfur oxide SO2, activators of phosphorus oxide P2O5 and nitrogen oxides NxOy The research presents the experimental dependences of the dynamics of СО2 absorption by microalgae under the critical concentration of inhibitor SO2 in the presence of the P2O5 and NxOy activators. The authors devised the mathematic models of growth of the Chlorella microalgae population depending on the concentration of the phosphorus oxide and nitrogen oxides activators under a permanent concentration of the sulfur oxide inhibitor. The research determined an optimal total concentration of P2O5 activator in the presence of the SO2 inhibitor, as well as an optimal total concentration of the NO2 activator in the presence of the SO2 inhibitor.

Opis:
One way to cut down the consumption of diesel fuel in domestic heating in Jordan is to blend it with shale oil, which may be extracted from oil shale. This leads to a cut down in the national fuel bill in Jordan. Unfortunately, shale oil contains significant amounts of sulfur as impurities and upon burning sulfur oxides are emitted causing a negative environmental impact, and hence desulfurization of such fuel blends is essential. This may be achieved by adding activated carbon to the fluids. The process of removing sulfur from shale oil is crucial for safeguarding the environment, human well-being, and equipment, as well as meeting regulatory requirements and creating superior-quality goods. In this study, a domestic boiler was utilized to evaluate the degree of desulfurization process of blends of diesel and shale oil fuels upon their burning in a domestic boiler, to achieve this, blends of both fuels were prepared with varying amounts of shale oil (10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%) and various amounts of activated carbon were added to the prepared mixtures of diesel fuel and shale oil. The assessment of performance included examining the environmental impact, specifically by analyzing exhaust gases to measure the concentration of Sulfur Oxide (SO2). It was found that an increase in the concentration of shale oil in the mixture led to an increase in the concentration of SO2. However, adding more activated carbon to the mixture from the fuels resulted in a decrease in the SO2 concentration. The lowest SO2 concentration was observed when 1g of activated carbon was added per liter of the fuel mixture at a 20% concentration of shale oil, and 0.6g of activated carbon per liter of the fuel mixture at a 40% concentration of oil shale.

Opis:
The suppression of the inhibition effect by SO2 sulfur dioxide with the simultaneous action of two activators – P2O5 phosphorus oxide and NxOy nitrogen oxide, as well as the process of carbon dioxide absorption by chlorophyll-synthesizing microalgae Chlorella were studied in this work. The experimental dependences of the СО2 uptake dynamics by microalgae under the conditions of the SO2 inhibitor critical concentration action and the simultaneous presence of P2O5 and NxOy activators were shown. A mathematical description of the Chlorella microalgae biomass growth depending on the P2O5 and NxOy activators concentration, provided that there is a SO2 inhibitor constant concentration was obtained. The optimum values of the P2O5 phosphorus oxide and NxOy nitrogen oxides concentration at the SO2 inhibitor critical concentration for the carbon dioxide absorption by chlorophyll-synthesizing microalgae Chlorella process were established.

Opis:
The paper shows the possibility of using chlorophyll-synthesizing microalgae of Chlorella vulgaris to purify biogas from carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and ammonia (NH3). Experimental dependences of the dynamics of CO2 uptake by microalgae under the action of H2S inhibitor and NH3 activator were presented. A mathematical description of the growth of biomass of microalgae Chlorella vulgaris, depending on the concentration of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, was obtained. The optimal values of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia concentration for the efficient process of carbon dioxide uptake by chlorophyll-synthesizing microalgae Chlorella vulgaris from biomethanization gas were established.
