Opis:
The aim of the paper is to determine the geometric and hydraulic characteristics of natural torrent beds and to propose a regional hydraulic geometry equations of mountain watersheds for the High Tatras region. The research was conducted in 26 natural torrents and their watersheds on the reference sections and profiles under the sediment source zones. Two different regression equations to determine the relationships of hydraulic geometry (hitherto used without asymptote and newly proposed with asymptote) were compared. The analyses showed a strong correlation relationship between watershed area Aw (km2) and bankfull geometric characteristics of natural cross-sections: width of the bed inside the banks Bbf (m), mean depth of the bed Hbf (m), channel cross-section area Abf (m2) and hydraulic characteristic – bankfull discharge Qbf (m3.s-1). The results were tested by t-test and Shapiro-Wilk test. The determination coefficient (R2) for the relationships without asymptote ranged between R2 = 0.919 and R2 = 0.972; p – values from Shapiro – Wilk test ranged between p = 0.0359 and p = 0.8027. The determination coefficient (R2) for the relationships with asymptote ranged between R2 = 0.952 and R2 = 0.974; p – values from Shapiro – Wilk test ranged between p = 0.0221 and p = 0.8617. Based on the analysis we found that the new equation with the asymptote provides very good results.

Opis:
The quality of the aquatic environment of high Andean lagoons was evaluated by means of multivariate statistical methods in two contrasting climatic periods. The water samples and benthic macroinvertebrates were collected in 22 sampling sites during the rainy and dry seasons. In each lagoon DO, DTS, EC, temperature and pH were determined in situ. The results revealed that the physicochemical parameters comply with the environmental quality standards for water, except COD and BOD5. In the PCA of the physicochemical parameters, the first two axes explained 73% of the total variation. The gradual analysis in pairs showed significant differences. The SIMPER analysis determined an average of four families of benthic macroinvertebrates per lagoon that showed more than 70% contribution. The ANOSIM revealed that Tragadero lagoon differs significantly from the others. The DistLM showed a value of 0.46 of coefficient of determination. Therefore, the quality of the environment of high Andean lagoons evaluated by means of multivariate statistical methods presents important differences or dissimilarities not only in the physicochemical characteristics of the water, but also in the composition of the benthic macroinvertebrate communities.

Opis:
The spatial-temporal variability characterizing the water quality of high Andean lagoons for tourist use was evaluated using multivariate statistical methods during 2017 and 2018. The water samples were collected from 14 sampling sites, with three replicates each. The water quality indicators determined were: pH, temperature, DO, COD, BOD5, P, N, Fe, Cu, Cr, Cd, Pb, Zn and chlorophyll-a. The flat cluster analysis (k R cluster) according to Ward’s algorithm showed six significantly differentiated groups (α=0.01). In turn, the real similarity profile (SIMPROF) moves markedly away from the obtained low permutation with a large excess of Euclidean similarity with a Pi value of 0.627. The PCA showed that the first two components recommended by the sedimentation analysis (Scree test) indicated 61.52% of the total variation of the observations. According to the Spearman range correlation selection criterion, the variables that best interpret the sample distributions are COD, DTS, P, Cd and Zn with a correlation of 0.893, the DTS being the most important variable with a correlation value of 0.795. The PERMANOVA analysis according to the flat cluster factor indicated that at least one of the groups is different from the others in relation to the levels of physicochemical characteristics studied. Therefore, all the configured groups are statistically different, demonstrating that each lagoon is different in relation to its physicochemical indicators, according to the season in which it is found.

Opis:
The article is devoted to highlighting the results of field studies conducted during 2019–2021 on the influence of multifunctional growth-regulating drugs with a fungicidal effect Architecttm and Helafit Combi on the productivity and optimization of water consumption of high-oleic sunflower hybrids in non-irrigated conditions of the steppe zone of Ukraine. The study was carried out under non-irrigated conditions in the experimental field of the “Mykolaiv DSDS IZZ NAAS” state institution of Ukraine (GPS: 46.980168, 32.148075) on southern low-humus chernozems. The program of scientific research provided for the foundation of a two – factor field experiment, in which sunflower hybrids were studied, namely Hector and Oplot (originator-V. Y. Yuryev Institute of crop production); DSL403 and P64GE133 (manufacturer Corteva, Brevant) and 8X477KL (manufacturer Dow Seeds). In the experiment, multifunctional growth – regulating preparations of chemical origin, i.e. Architecttm, and biological origin, i.e. Helafit Combi, were used. They were introduced in the form of foliar treatments of sunflower hybrids in the Phase 6–8 of real leaves with a rate of 1 l/ha. The weather conditions in 2019–2021 can be classified as medium – arid, typical for this growing zone, but the most favorable year was 2021. As for the temperature indicators, the average monthly air temperature for the study years was higher than the corresponding long-term average data. The results of three-year field studies showed that foliar treatments of sunflower hybrids of high-oleic type with Architect and Helafit Combi multifunctional preparations had a positive effect on improving growing conditions and increasing plant resistance to stress from high temperatures and lack of moisture. The study preparations contribute to a more economical use of soil moisture for the formation of a crop unit, as evidenced by a decrease in the water consumption coefficient for all the studied hybrids. The lowest water consumption coefficient of 1283 m3/t was found in the P64GE133 hybrid under the conditions of treatment of sunflower plants with a Helafit Combi combined preparation of biological origin. Foliar treatment of plants with combined growth-regulating preparations led to optimization of water consumption of agrocenosis in general.
