Opis:
The results of research on the activation of the microflora by using post-harvest green manure crops were presented. As a result of the conducted studies, the positive effect of sidereal crops of Raphanus sativum and Phacelia tanacetifolia on activity increase of microflora in black soil with little humus was revealed. Application of post-harvest siderates increased the number of non-sporous species of bacteria and actinomycetales, contributed to improvement of soil environment under the influence of siderates, which had a positive effect on creating more comfortable conditions for growing potatoes. The usage of green fertilizers had a positive influence on microbiology activity of soil.

Opis:
This study investigated the spatial variability of the soil silicon content in relation with topography, parent materials, soil texture, soil organic matter, exchangeable cations and pH. Using the experimental data from two longterm sites in the Forest-Steppe area of Ukraine, the SiO2 content was estimated in 60 samples taken from a soil depth 0–25 cm. The accumulation of SiO2 was significantly greater in the soils formed in footslopes. A content of extractable silicon fraction significantly increased from a sandy loam(366–465 mg•kg-1) to medium(670–697 mg•kg-1) and heavy(506–849 mg•kg-1) textured soils. The highest amount of available silicon content was found in the soils containing: 35.0–39.9% of physical clay fraction (< 0.01 mm dia) in Hrytsiv area – 143.0 ± 46 mg•kg-1 and < 25.0% of physical clay fraction in Khrolyn area – 125.0 ±6 mg•kg-1. A significant relationship was found between pHKCl, P2O5, K2O, Mg and both forms of SiO2. There was almost no correlation between available/ extractable SiO2 and exchangeable Ca and ∑ Ca+Mg. Our studies found the best correlation between extractable SiO2 and spring barley yield (r = 0.651; P = 0.041), as well assoluble SiO2 and corn for grain yield (r = 0.514; P = 0.128). No significant relationships were found for sugar beet, winter wheat, sunflower.

Opis:
Productivity and mowing periods of various cereal grasses on sod–podzolic soil of Pre–Carpathians were studied. The presence of sown grasses with different ripeness periods provides uniform supply of mowing mass from the middle of May till late September and productivity of lands, which is 5.4–6.8 t $ha^-1$ of dry mass, exchange energy – 44.1–56.8 GJ $ha^-1$ and 3.81–4.87 t $ha^-1$ f.u. On the basis of the obtained results, it was found that with increase of tillage depth from 8–10 cm for surface tillage with disk tools to 20–22 cm by plowing, the productivity of all studied species increased by 2–3% on average for three years with fertilization dose of $LSD_05$ equal to 0.30 t $ha^-1$. Cultivation of cereal grasses on sod–podzolic soils stipulates improvement of their fertility, in particular increasing indices of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium.

Opis:
Deterioration of ecological situation, increase of mineral fertilizer prices and their foreseen increase in recent years force us to look for the ways to reduce the rates of their application and alternative means of maintaining high productivity of sown fodder lands. Fertilization was and remains one of the decisive ways of increasing haymaking productivity, as well as increasing their economic efficiency. The productivity of leguminous grasses based on the study of agrotechnological measures of cultivation in the conditions of the Carpathian region is currently relevant. The studied species of perennial grasses, during the three-year cultivation, showed that the largest number of shoots was formed on the variant with horned sedge and was 1185–1201 pieces/m2. Medicago sativa had the smallest number of shoots (470 pics/m2, control (without fertilizers)). Trifolium pratense and Lotus corniculatus provided the highest productivity in relation to other species from 20 to 31%. Analysis of single–species crops productivity of perennial bean grasses by cuttings showed that the peculiarities obtained on average for all slopes, were also similar in each of two slopes. During the three–year use of the herbage on the yield from 1 ha of dry mass in both slopes, the herbage factor had the greatest influence, the share of which was 61–62%, while the share of the influence of fertilizer was 38–39%.

Opis:
The research results of using growth regulators with anti-stress action which stimulated growth and development of plants, and provided them with resistance to adverse factors during the vegetation period, were presented. The use of plant growth regulators with anti–stress effect on Sinapis alba L. increased the plant resistance to adverse environmental influences, providing adaptation to changing environmental conditions, i.e. it has a stress–correcting effect throughout the whole vegetation period. The result of using drugs on mustard (Sinapis alba L.) was obtaining a significant and stable additional seed yield (0.57 t·ha-1), i.e. an increase in yield by 38%. Over the years of research, the most effective were the applications of Fast Start and Biofoge growth regulators. The most effective processing terms were: during the vegetation period as well as combination of seed treatment and application during the vegetation period.
