The literature review reveal that [1,4]-oxazine derivatives represent one of the most active classes of compounds possessing wide spectrum of biodynamic activities and use as potent therapeutic agents. In the present work, a series of Schiff base of 2-(2,3-dihydro-2-oxonaphtho[2,1-b][1,4]oxazin-1-yl)acetohydrazide, 5a-5j has been synthesized using 1-aminonaphthalen-2-ol. Various aromatic aldehyde were react with carbohydrazide 4 in the presence of acid to produce the 2-oxonaphtho[2,1-b][1,4]oxazin Schiff base derivatives with good yields. All synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, NMR and Mass spectrometry analysis.

Opis:
The fluorescence intensities for various vibronic fine structures in the 1-pyrenecarboxaldehyde (PyCHO) fluorescence show strong environment dependence. In aqueous solvent, the distribution of dye is highly depended on its concentration labels and varies from excimer to monomeric state. UVVis Spectroscopic analysis could not able to detect dye below 10-7M concentration, whereas a New monomeric peak at 342 nm was observed after heating and cooling treatment at above the concentration. At 10-8M concentration, only monomeric distribution of 1-PyCHO reveals a strong temperature (20-50 ?C) induced reversible perturbation of the vibronic band intensities. This suggests the operation of some specific solute-solvent dipole-dipole interaction mechanism strongly influence by heating.

Opis:
Butenolides and their analogues represent a wide range of natural compounds of a medical and biological importance. In the last decades, a great number of compounds of various structures, in general from Alkylidene butenolide, were isolated and showed biological activities. In this work we have studied the reactivity of some alkylidene butenolide and their antibacterial activity. the study is of a scientific interest in terms of the synthesis of new compounds (Butenolide 01: 5-hydroxy-5-(1-methoxypropan-2-yl)-4-methylfuran-2(5H)-one, Butenolide 02: 5-(1-methoxypropan-2-yl)-4-methylfuran-2(5H)-one) that have not been studied before by other researchers; and of an economic importance because of its synthesis process which is easy and inexpensive. Moreover, butenolide showed a positive antimicrobial activity (antibiotic) against pathogenic bacteria (mainly Enterobacter hafniae).

Opis:
Theoretical velocities of binary liquid mixtures of 1-bromopropane with chlorobenzene at 2 MHz and four different temperatures 303.15, 308.15, 313.15 and 318.15 K, have been evaluated as a function of concentration and temperature. The experimental values are compared with theoretical models of liquid mixtures such as Nomoto, Van Dael-Vangeel, Impedance Relation, Rao’s Specific Velocity Method, Junjie’s relations and Free Length Theory. In the chosen system there is a good agreement between experimental and theoretical values calculated by Nomoto’s theory. The deviation in the variation of U2exp/ U2imx from unity has also been evaluated for explaining the non ideality in the mixtures. The results are explained in terms of intermolecular interactions occurring in these binary liquid mixtures.

Opis:
The inversion reaction coordinate of free amino acids (alanine, aspartic acid) have been computationally calculated by semi-empirical methods AM1. A transition state for free alanine and aspartic acid were obtained as a three membered ring in which the α-C-H and α-C-CH3 are slightly elongated, 1.2 and 2.17 Å respectively in the alanine transition state. The activation energy of alanine is 77.52 kcal/mol in the gas phase and 76.66 kcal/mol in aqueous phase, and for aspartic acid is 54.87 kcal/mol in the gas phase and 50.86 kcal/mol in aqueous phase.

A series of novel 5-(2-bromophenyl)-N-cyclohexyl-2-(methylthio)-6-nitro-7-phenyl-4,7-dihydropyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine-3-carboxamides were synthesized by a one-pot reaction of 5-amino-N-cyclohexyl-3-(methylthio)-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxamide, 1-(2-bromophenyl)-2-nitroethanone and aryl aldehydes in the presence of boric acid in water at refluxing temperature. Structures of compounds were demonstrated by Fourier transform infrared, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and elemental analysis. The advantages of this method are mild reaction condition, good yields, and operational simplicity.

A series of titled chalcones were synthesized by aldol condensation between 2-naphthaldehyde and various substituted acetophenones using solid acidic solid sulphated titania catalyst under microwave irradiation. The yields of these chalcones are more than 90 %. The synthesized chalcones are characterized by their physical constants, analytical and spectroscopic data.

We have reported some novel 1,3,4-oxadiazole synthesized by conventional method .The reaction of 5-bromothiophene-2-carbohydrazide and different benzoic acid derivatives reflux in toluene using phosphorus oxychloride as a catalyst, yielded a series of 2,5-di-substituted 1,3,4-oxadiazole HM-2a to HM-2t. The newly synthesized 2,5-di-substituted 1,3,4-oxadiazole were purified by column chromatography and characterized by IR, Mass, 1H NMR, 13C NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. All synthesized compounds were screened for antimicrobial activity using cup plate method. All the compounds showed moderate to good antimicrobial activity and anti fungal activity.

A new series of 2,5-distyryl-1,3,4-oxadiazoles derivatives have been synthesized from cinnamic hydrazide on reaction with various cinnamic acid derivatives. The structures of synthesized compounds have been elucidated by spectral studies like IR, 1HNMR, Mass and also Elemental Analysis. Furthermore, all synthesized compounds were screened for in vitro anti microbial activity against the gram positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and gram negative (Escherichia coli) bacterial strain. In which some the compounds show potential inhibition against the test organisms.

Opis:
Uniform and adherent Zn1-xMnxO films have been deposited by using spray pyrolysis technique on glass substrates. The optical properties and dispersion parameters of zinc oxide have been studied as a function of doping concentration with Mn. Changes in direct optical energy band gap of cobalt oxide films were confirmed after doping, The optical energy gap Eg increased from 3.13 eV for the undoped ZnO to 3.39 eV with increasing the doping concentration of Mn to 4%. The changes in dispersion parameters and Urbach tails were investigated. An increase in the doping concentration causes a decrease in the average oscillator strength. The single-oscillator parameter has been reported.

Opis:
Sound velocity, densities of binary mixture of Tetrahydropyran (THP) with 1-hexanol has been measured over the entire range of composition at T = 298.15 to 318.15 K. The excess parameters viz., excess sound velocity, deviations in isentropic compressibility, excess molar volume, excess free length and excess acoustic impedance are deduced from experimental values and discussed intermolecular interactions present in the mixture. At the end all the parameters have been fitted to Redlich-Kister equation and their coefficients are obtained.

Some novel 6-fluoro chroman derivatives having 1,2,4-triazolo-[3,4-b]thiadiazole were synthesized and characterized by IR, NMR and mass spectral analysis. All synthesized compounds were screened for antimicrobial activity using broth dilution method. All the compounds showed good antimicrobial activity and compound 5e showed significant antibacterial activity.

We have reported some novel 1,3,4-oxadiazole synthesized by conventional method as well as microwave assisted method. The reaction of different substituted cinnamic acid 2a-o with 2-(4-chlorophenyl) acetohydrazide by using phosphoric anhydride as catalyst, yielded a series of 2,5-di-substituted 1,3,4-oxadiazole 6a-o. The structures of all synthesized compounds are well characterized by Mass, FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and elemental analysis. After obtaining experimental data regarding the yield and the time taken for the synthesis by both the methods, conventional and microwave assisted method, it was proved that the microwave assisted method is convenient for synthesis of this type of 2,5-di-substituted 1,3,4-oxadiazole 6a-o.
