    The aim of this article is to present changes in the education of deaf and hard of hearing persons over the last 7 years. The trends in the education of children with hearing impairment clearly point to the departure from special forms of education in favour of public education and integration.     Opis:
    The article presents a pilot study of the tasks of support teachers in relation to students with autism, including those with Asperger’s syndrome. Data contained in the Educational Information System shows a significant increase in the number of students with this type of disorder studying in integrated units and mainstream schools. The education of students with autism and Asperger’s syndrome is difficult due to their deficits in the cognitive sphere, as well as problems in social and emotional functioning. When carried out in an appropriate manner, with relevant professionalsupport, the inclusion of autistic children may be beneficial both for the children’s intellectual, social and emotional development, as well as other students.

    The past pro-inclusive actions and solutions in the education of people with disabilities, often can be perceived as highly positive, but, at the same time, they should lead to a critical and reflective approach towards them as well as their consequen- ces. In addition to the undoubted qualities, the article also points out their weaknesses and limitations that are primarily expressed in the totalization of organizational solutions and excessive dissemination, as well as reducing the quality of the pedagogue and teacher education. The above mentioned issues generate a need for fast, corrective actions in the Polish education system.

    The State of Israel, like other developed countries around the world, engages intensively in the thinking about and care of students with special needs (SwSN). Israel attempts to open rang of possibilities to this population in its considerable diversity, while responding to the challenges faced by the population of students defined in Israel as „special education”. This article presents the developing approaches, which are at the basis of the special educational system in Israel, as a case study of the reference to SwSn. The first part of the article presents the ideological elements of the special education system in Israel throughout its historical development, and the second part presents the way in which the continuum of the educational frameworks was understood to serve the educational perception.
