    The article discusses the problem of analysis of online resources ontology design methodologies. For this purpose, the available ontology design methodologies were identified: Cyc, Gruninger & Fox methodology, Ushold & King methodology, On-To- Knowledge, Methontology, DILIGENT, HCOME, DOGMA and NeOn. Then an analysis of their suitability for the design of semantic description of web resources was performed (eg. website content, social networking sites, etc.). Considerations allowed to formulate a set of guidelines containing the necessary elements of ontology design methodology in the above mentioned area. The article ends with conclusions, according to which the best solution for the present problem of ontology design seems to be the use of a hybrid approach which combines elements from different methodologies.

    Opis:
    Features of web-based recommending systems can be considered both from the perspective of providing access to certain options or from the commercial applications and marketing. Due to different applications different objectives and criteria for their evaluation, and application areas can be distinguished here. In the case of online platforms focused on business goals recommending interfaces play an important role that provide matching products to customer preference. Research areas related to recommending systems have usually focused on algorithmic layer and mechanisms of selection of offers. More and more often, attention is also drawn to the way of visualization offers and presentation layer. The article examines the design of recommending interfaces focused on certain acquisition-oriented interaction with a receiver, and the use of mechanisms of selection of the level of influence and persuasion. The solution enables the selection of design options, and multi-criteria assessment of the effects, which is meant to take into account both business purpose and customer satisfaction level.

    Web applications have been the main intrusion target, and input errors from the web users lead to serious security vulnerabilities. Many web applications contain such errors, making them vulnerable to remotely exploitable input validation attacks such as SQL Injection, Command Injection, Meta-Characters, Formatting String, Path Traversal and Cross Site scripting. In this paper, we present ontology to represent patterns of input validation attacks on web applications. More specifically, our ontology is based on individual subclasses, properties and inverse functional properties, domain and range of input validation attack patterns. The ontology is implemented and interpreted with the web application development language OWL (Ontology Web Language).

    Horizon scanning is being increasingly regarded as an instrument to support strategic decision making. It requires the systematic examination of data to identify potential threats and opportunities to improve resilience and decrease risk exposure. Horizon scanning may benefit from various retrieval techniques to augment the acquisition of data, though this involves a search for novel and emerging issues without knowing them beforehand. To optimise such a search, we propose the use of relevance feedback, which involves human interaction in the retrieval process so as to improve the results. As a proof-of-concept demonstration, we have carried out a horizon scanning exercise which showed that our utilisation of relevance feedback for horizon scanning applications was able to maintain the retrieval of relevant documents constant over the entire length of the experiment, without any reduction. This represents an improvement over previous studies where relevance feedback was not considered.

    The article deals with the issues of user identity management in the context of distributed web systems. The basic concepts and presented possible solutions related to the property of Single sign on (SSO) which can provide an access to multiple connected systems after a single login have been identified. The method of selecting a specific solution that can provide SSO has been exemplified by the decision process in the ActGo-Gate project. Taking the above information into consideration, OpenID Connect (OIDC) should better meet the project’s expectations as it satisfies all the mentioned requirements to an acceptable extent, and therefore should ensure full SSO property in cooperation with the common user directory. Then the particular solution chosen for implementing OIDC is Connect2id (as Identity Provider) with the OpenDJ LDAP user directory. The most important arguments in favor of that decision were presented in the paper.

    An essential problem for enterprises is the planning and the organization of the obtaining all types of resources process, defined as sourcing, and in the case of the utilization of web-based technologies, as e-sourcing. The article presents definitions of basic notions, such as: sourcing, e-sourcing, strategic sourcing and strategic e-sourcing, the concept of resource-based view and classification of resources. The analysis also included the development of supply processes realized on-line. The purpose of this paper is to use a resource-based view to answer management’s questions: whether e-sourcing as the process of sources and means of planning supply into all resources of the enterprise is a process of a strategic meaning for the enterprise? How to organize this process and which web-based solutions technologies can be used in its effective realization? The organizational model for strategic e-sourcing was proposed in which for each of the four distinguished stages, the utilization of web-based technology solutions was suggested.

    Ontology is the subject of research in various fields of science, including humanities and economics. At present, ontologies are the subject of research in various research facilities, among others, engineering systems, knowledge engineering and knowledge management theory. The most important aspect from the point of view of this article is the aspect of knowledge management. The first definition created for the purpose of computing is the definition of T. Gruber in 1993. It was used in the field of artificial intelligence in order to facilitate the sharing and reuse of stored knowledge. This article attempts to present some concepts of the ontology. The selected ontology definitions created by T. Gruber, A. Bassara and A. Maedche. The principles and process of creating ontologies. The last part presents selected ontology description languages such as Resource Description Framework (RDF) and Web Ontology Language (OWL).

    The most important task for a company should be to invest in the development and awareness of its employees, as well as to understand and appreciate them. Motivated employees who bring knowledge and experience to the company contribute to the company’s efficiency and success. Therefore, the condition for a sustainable competitive advantage in today’s world is the ability to consistently develop the potential of human resources. Progressive globalization, a turbulent environment, and changeability force entrepreneurs to introduce flexible solutions through the use of information and communication technologies in the implementation of incentive systems. Information and communication technologies are an integral part of human life and cover a wide range of information technologies. The main objective of this article is to present the results of research on the effectiveness of individual motivational tools and to assess the impact of dynamically developing information and communication technologies on the formation of motivational systems.
    Najważniejszym zadaniem dla przedsiębiorstwa powinno być inwestowanie w rozwój i świadomość pracowników, a także ich zrozumienie i docenienie. Zmotywowana kadra wnosząca do firmy wiedzę i doświadczenie przyczynia się do zwiększenia efektywności przedsiębiorstwa i osiągnięcia sukcesu. Zatem warunkiem trwałej przewagi konkurencyjnej we współczesnym świecie staje się zdolność do konsekwentnego rozwijania potencjału zasobów ludzkich. Postępująca globalizacja, turbulentne otoczenie, zmienność wymuszają na przedsiębiorcach wprowadzanie elastycznych rozwiązań poprzez wykorzystanie technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych w procesach wdrażania systemów motywacyjnych. Techno-logie informacyjno-komunikacyjne są nieodłączną częścią życia człowieka i obejmują wiele technologii informacyjnych. Głównym celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników badań skuteczności poszczególnych narzędzi motywowania oraz próba oceny wpływu dynamicznie rozwijających się technologii informacyjno-komunikacyjnych na kształtowanie się systemów motywacyjnych.
