- The paper presents analysis of structural funds usage in agriculture, rural development and fishery in Poland in the period of 2004–2006. The first part of the work focuses on operating rules of operational programs financing with The European Agricultural Guidance and Orientation Fund as well as Financial Instrument of Fishery Support. There is a description of priorities and measures of operational programs and the procedures of financial support assignment. The second part of the paper discusses the results of programs implementation in the Polish food economy and rural development. Special consideration is paid to the structure of submitted applications and to the phase of particular measures realization. The conclusions cover the state, that Operational Program “Restructuring and Modernisation of Food Economy and Rural Development” is the best implemented operational program of all included in National Development Plan, but the “Fishery and Fish Processing” Program still needs more beneficiaries activity and support from executive institutions.
