Place budowy to miejsca, w których drzewa są bezpośrednio narażone na uszkodzenia mechaniczne i stres abiotyczny. Zjawisko to, często określane mianem „stresu budowlanego”, jest wynikiem zmian w siedlisku drzew, znajdujących się na terenie działek objętych inwestycją oraz w bezpośrednim ich sąsiedztwie. Obserwacje dowodzą, że do obumarcia drzewa uszkodzonego przez prace budowlane dochodzi przeciętnie od 5 do 12 lat po zakończeniu inwestycji. Diagnoza problemu jest trudna, ponieważ brakuje badan w tym zakresie. Nieliczne dostępne wykonywane były ponad 10 lat wstecz, co świadczy o potrzebie analiz problemu poruszanego w niniejszym opracowaniu.
Trees are an essential part of the city infrastructure. Construction sites are the areas where intensive trees elimination is reported. It is caused by conflicts between carrying out of construction, planned infrastructure and the trees. Protective treatments before and during construction works are essential to minimize the loss of trees. Research has shown that workers misunderstood the tree protection means. Less than 35% of people involved in construction process took part in the tree protection on construction site. The realisation of defective projects results in failure of the tree protection. The need of education concerning tree protection techniques relates to all of the tested groups, with particular taking into account the group of architects. - Źródło:
