    Maciej JakubowiakJagiellonian University, Faculty of Polish, Department of Anthropology of Literature and Cultural Studies Cultural Studies on Copyright LawThe goal of the article is to present and analyze the key problems of cultural studies on copyright law – a relatively new area of literary and cultural research, developed mostly in the United States since 1980s. The main objective of thus oriented research is to introduce an alternative perspective to studies traditionally carried out by copyright lawyers – a perspective allowing one to recognize the complexity of ways in which legal solutions may impact cultural practice. The article chronologically discusses the most important publications representing this subdiscipline, including text by such authors as Martha Woodmansee, Mark Rose, Paul K. Saint-Amour and Caren Irr. The critical presentation of the material focuses on ways of defining relations between copyright law and literature, on the impact of analyses carried out within this model upon our understanding of the cultural phenomena under discussion, and – last but not least – on research methods within the area. Additionally, the argument presented in the article serves the purpose of deriving a more general formula of thinking about literature from the existing research and of confronting it with other modes of reflection about the relations obtaining between various disciplines of academic research. Keywords: cultural studies on copyright law, copyright, authorship, impact of legal solutions upon cultural practice Kulturowe studia nad prawem autorskim Artykuł poświęcony jest prezentacji i analizie najważniejszych problemów formułowanych w ramach kulturowych studiów nad prawem autorskim – nurcie badań literaturo- i kulturoznawczych rozwijających się głównie w Stanach Zjednoczonych od lat 80. XX wieku. Głównym celem tych badań jest wprowadzenie odmiennej perspektywy do zarezerwowanych tradycyjnie dla prawoznawców studiów nad prawem autorskim, pozwalające na odsłonienie złożonych sposobów, na jakie rozwiązania prawne przekładają się na praktyki kulturowe. W artykule analizowane są w porządku chronologicznym najważniejsze publikacje tego nurtu badawczego, autorstwa m.in. Marthy Woodmansee, Marka Rose’a, Paula K. Saint-Amoura i Caren Irr. Krytyczna prezentacja materiału bierze pod uwagę takie kwestie, jak: sposoby definiowania relacji między prawem autorskim a literaturą; efekty prowadzonych analiz dla rozumienia omawianych fenomenów kulturowych; projektowane metody badawcze. Dodatkowym celem artykułu jest próba wypreparowania z przedstawianych badań ogólniejszej formuły myślenia o literaturze i skonfrontowanie jej z innymi sposobami myślenia o relacjach między dyscyplinami naukowymi.Słowa kluczowe: kulturowe studia nad prawem autorskim, copyright, prawo autorskie, autorstwo, wpływ rozwiązań prawnych na praktykę kulturową

    Opis:
    Vegetarianism is – simply speaking – not eating meat. Veganism is a bit more radical option – it is not just not eating meat, but generally animal products: eggs, milk, dairy products, honey. These are relatively simple definitions for these types of diets. However, the problem begins when we define vegetarianism or veganism as a type of diet. Vegetarianism and veganism are therefore not only related to food, we can already speak of a certain lifestyle understood primarily as “the size and form of consumption.” In my article I want to follow the motives behind choosing this type of diet and to reflect not only on the health but also on the cultural aspects of veganism. There are more and more vegetarian and vegan products, new restaurants and fast food restaurants, if not completely vegetarian or vegan, at least including meatless or simply vegetable dishes in their menu. Multitudes of forums and online communities, YouTube channels and blogs with vegetable recipes are multiplying. All this lets us wonder whether the vegetarian/vegan diet has become something of a fashion that will soon pass or whether there are other reasons, and if so, what these reasons are.
    Wegetarianizm to – najkrócej rzecz ujmując – niejedzenie mięsa. Weganizm jest nieco bardziej radykalną opcją – to nie tylko niespożywanie mięsa, ale generalnie produktów zwierzęcych: jajek, mleka, nabiału, miodu. Są to stosunkowo proste definicje dla tych rodzajów diet. Problem zaczyna się jednak już wtedy, kiedy określimy wegetarianizm czy weganizm rodzajem diety. Wegetarianizm i weganizm nie jest więc jedynie związany z jedzeniem, można mówić tu już o pewnym stylu życia rozumianym przede wszystkim jako „rozmiary i forma konsumpcji”. W swoim wystąpieniu chcę prześledzić pobudki, jakie stoją za wyborem tego rodzaju diety – zdrowie stanowi jedną z nich – a także poddać refleksji nie tylko zdrowotne, ale także kulturowe aspekty weg*anizmu. Na rynku obecnych jest coraz więcej produktów wegetariańskich i wegańskich, z dużą częstotliwością powstają też nowe restauracje, a nawet lodziarnie czy fast foody, o ile nie całkowicie wege lub wega, o tyle włączające do swojego menu potrawy bezmięsne czy po prostu warzywne. Mnożą się wege fora i społeczności internetowe, kanały na YouTube oraz blogi z przepisami kuchni roślinnej. Wszystko to pozwala zastanawiać się, czy dieta wege/wega stała się czymś w rodzaju mody, która w niedługim czasie przeminie czy też przemawiają za tym także inne względy, a jeśli tak, to jakie.

Revolving around her recent monograph titled Shapes of Time in British Twenty-First Century Fiction (2015), the argument of the article aims at shedding light on how Sonia Front arrives at the postulate of a certain order countering chaos within a great hermeneutic circle: w wheel in motion, propelling the constant return from the quantum reality to the reality of discurse, a return in which the overwhelming General impacts the ungraspable Detail and the Detail decides about the shape of the General, the great hologram. Front does it in full awareness of the temporariness of such an order, but despite its transience, she decides to formulate an academic statement, to tell a „truth” about the world, time, and human experience: an experience that inescapably becomes her-and our-share. Presented in such a perspective, quantum consciousness, as postulated by Sonia Front, seems to offer a new promise for the research practice of contemporary scholarship.Keywords: quantum mechanics, literary studies, quantum fiction, cultural practice, methodology
