Opis:
Reduction of CO2 emission, improvement of efficiency of the use of electric power, management of and communication between particular parts of the electric power system, improvement of power delivery security, or ensuring higher security of data access were conductive to definition of a new notion of Smart Grid. The paper presents the research results in case of reactive power control at a small wind farm PN = 0.9MW. The measurements were conducted for two modes: with additional battery of capacitors disconnected and with the battery cooperating with the capacities installed by the equipment manufacturer. The measurement results indicate the need of the use of additional capacities, with a view to attain proper power management of the wind farm.

Opis:
The paper presents technological solutions for the operation management of electrical installations that are designed to include micro power sources. For that purpose, the technological potential offered by programmable logic controllers (PLC’s) has been applied to the building management system. The development of electricity generation technologies makes it possible for a private person and micro companies to install local power sources that are directly connected to their own power supply wiring. The paper presents characteristics and technological potential of surveillance and control systems designed for low power sources connected to low voltage network systems and electric wiring in buildings. Possibilities concerning the integration of the source operation control with the building automation system as well as the power consumption control have been presented.

Opis:
This paper presents the new application area of the hot-potato routing protocol, which is a “last-mile” communication network for controlling systems of road and street lighting. Four variants of the hot-potato protocol are analyzed with use of the graph theory. For the assessment of the traffic parameters the ETX parameter is used in relation to the length of the shortest path. Proposed methods are independent of the media type and can be implemented either in wireless or PLC.

The paper presents selected technical and legal aspects of AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) implementation in Poland. The need is indicated for the choice of an open system of bi-directional communication between the electricity meter of SM type (Smart Meter) and the Metering Information Operator (MIO). Current legal status pertaining to the intelligent electric-power network is assessed. The AMI development and its influence on greenhouse gases emission is presented.
