Opis:
The rapid civilisational development that took place in the second half of the 20th century, and the resulting changes in the conditions and ways of people’s lives brought forth a number of social phenomena, both positive and negative. Physical activities, i.e. any forms of physical effort undertaken voluntarily in leisure time for entertainment and health purposes, contribute greatly to overcoming the dangers of modern civilization. Among these, activities with the participation of a dog are becoming increasingly popular. These activities are exercised by people of all ages in the form of dog sports, as well as for recreational and therapeutic purposes. The aim of the paper is to present various forms of activities with a dog as modern types of physical recreation exercised by people of all ages. Regular exercise with a dog greatly improves the well-being and provides a feeling of harmony and inner peace. It is becoming yet another modern form of activity.

Opis:
Physical activity is one of the important pillars helping to maintain well-being and health. The aim of the article was to try to identify the directions of changes in students' attitudes towards physical activity between 2015 and 2023, including the aspect of monitoring movement and exercise using modern technologies. The article presents research conducted on a group of 180 students of physical education and tourism and recreation. The declared physical activity of the students was analysed, along with the need to monitor movement using electronic devices. A shortened version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was used as the research tool. The questionnaire was modified by adding questions on monitoring physical activity. Analysis of the results shows that the declared physical activity has changed over the analysed time period. In 2015, an average of 74.5% of the students in the studied faculties declared their activity as high, while in 2023, 38.5% of the students did so. In 2015, an average of 25.5% of the students surveyed declared their physical activity, while in 2023, an average activity was declared by 20% of the students surveyed. Low activity was declared by 1% in 2015 and by an average of 41.5% of students in 2023. There was no determinant effect of the gender of the surveyed students on the level of physical activity. An increase in the number of students using modern technology to monitor their own physical activity was found over the analysed time period.

Opis:
Rationale and objective of the study: In the study of coordination of motor abilities, motor performance tests without examining the internal structure of the movement were used. The objective of this study was to examine the kinesthetic differentiation capacity level and to stimulate muscles during a test among basketball players in intermediate and specialist stages of training. Material and methods: Among ten basketball players from two equal groups at different level of advancement in sport, who play at different positions on the field, kinesthetic differentiation capacity was assessed by the „Basketball shooting with different balls” test. In order to assess the muscle involvement during the test, they were connected to the EMG amplifier. Results: More advanced basketball players obtained better results in the test, by an average of 7.4 point out of 60. Tested muscle bioelectric tension was lower by 21.8% in advanced players and the difference in the non-dominant hand was as high as 34.6%. Conclusions: The research indicates that advanced players obtain better level of kinesthetic differentiation and their average muscle bioelectric tension during throws is lower compared to beginner players. The difference in bio-electrical muscle tension in the time of throwing different balls was smaller in basketball players who are more advanced in training, and in both groups in the dominant hand. Mean values of EMG signal in a selected time interval show greater variability among the more advanced players.
