Traditionally, the left insisted on state to be of great importance in economic, especially in economical planning sphere and social programs expansion. As well as that, another aim was to equalize chances between citizens, particularly in an education field and individual growth. As a major aims the left recognized social equality, justice, freedom and peace between the nations. That is how the left characterized at the beginning of its way. After few dozen years, the left has been experiencing its ups and downs, beginning from communism, when it was hated by great majority of the polish nation. Next aspiration of the left was to reach great social support, through hard work of the left activists. Owing to them the left have taken power and come into existence on polish political scene. Important to mention are reasons which has caused weakness of the left side of the parliament.
