    Opis:
    The article presents results of the reliability study of controlled groups of vehicles possessed by two road transport enterprises working in the international transport sector (truck tractors – VOLVO FH 1242Т – 50 unit and MERCEDES-BENZ 1844 ACTROS LS -100 units, semi-trailers SCHMITZ, KRONE and KÖGEL – 50 units from each of the semi-trailers company). Possibilities for reliability increasing and reduction of the maintenance and repair cost are defined. The results of the reliability evaluation of vehicles during three years of operation with a different annual run (from brand new up to 440·103 km, including warranty period) are presented. Based on the conducted studies of failures and details malfunctions, units and systems of the vehicles, the average operating time to failure or occurrence of malfunctioning, the probability of failure-free operation, and the time spent on repairs were determined. Asymmetric graphs of working capacity disturbance were obtained, which allowed determining the level of const uction design perfection, the technological accuracy of equipment assembly and the quality of fastening works. The inadequate adaptability to operate on the roads of the CIS was reflected by symmetric distribution laws. The least reliable aggregate and assembly elements were identified.

    Opis:
    The article deals with the tax on motor vehicles in relation to the different principles of taxation of trucks in selected EU countries. There is a system of taxation in each EU country and the level of taxes and fees itself vary. As carriers carrying out road freight not only on closed national markets, but they are engaged in road transport on a common international market, it is important for the competitiveness to analyze the level of the use of transport by tax in foreign countries. The goal of article is to compare tax rates, regarding the particular semi-trailer and also point to significant differences concerning the principles of taxation but also the level of the tax rate itself in selected EU countries.

    Artykuł zawiera wyniki badań eksperymentalnych naczep niskopodwoziowych NS 500Z, NR 600W, NS 700W. Konstrukcja ww. naczep jest przystosowana do transportu ładunków ponadnormatywnych. Badania zostały przeprowadzone w oparciu o Regulamin nr 13 EKG ONZ. Miały na celu określenie skuteczności hamowania zestawów zarówno hamulcem roboczym jak i hamulcem awaryjnym. Wyniki badań mogą służyć zarówno do wprowadzenia modyfikacji w układzie hamulcowym zestawu, jak i dane wejściowe do modelowania symulacyjnego.
    The article contains results of research experimental semi-trailers: NS500Z, NR600W and NS700W. Construction of those trailers are prepared for transporting abnormal loads. Tests were done according to Regulation No. 13 EKG ONZ. The aim of the tests was to determined the braking efficiency for both brake systems: main and emergency. The results can be used for modifications of the brake system construction, and as input data for modeling.

    Artykuł zawiera wyniki badań eksperymentalnych naczepy NS500Z. Konstrukcja ww. naczepy jest przystosowana do transportu ładunków ponadnormatywnych. Badania zostały przeprowadzone w oparciu o normę opisującą manewr podwójnej zmiany pasa ruchu. Miały na celi określenie stateczności zestawu, zarówno obciążonego ładunkiem KTO Rosomak, jak i pustej naczepy. Wyniki badań mogą służyć zarówno do wprowadzenia modyfikacji w zawieszeniu zestawu, jak i jako dane wejściowe do modelowania symulacyjnego.
    This paper presents results of experimental research of steering and stability motion of semi-trailer. There are also some results of this kind of research. The results of research concern to semi trailers prepared for transport of military combat vehicles. The complete mass of semitrailer transporting military equipment is often more than 80 tones. Such range of mass is not used in civilian transport and that is the reason why results of such research are difficult to find in other papers. Results of research presented in this paper are very important for road safety, because military semi trailers are usually driving on normal open public roads, with other users of these roads.
