Opis:: The paper deals with implementation problem of new generation of railway control and management systems dedicated for regional lines. The special infrastructure of such lines gives the possibility of application the new telematic technologies including the open radio transmission standards to control and monitoring the dissipated railway objects. In the paper the efficiency and safety analyses are presented based on stochastic process approach according to UE standards and recommendations.

Opis:: The paper presents results and analysis of research of the quality of service requirements (defined by the QoS attributes) for imaging data transmission services using Radio System for Monitoring and Acquisition of Data from Traffic Enforcement Cameras (in short RSMAD). The paper also presents and discusses results of test on the impact of the size of photos from traffic enforcement cameras on the average transmission time. These tests were conducted under conditions of actual operation of the RSMAD system. Basing on the obtained results, an analysis of the capacity, to provide in the RSMAD system required quality of service by different wireless data transmission systems, was performed.

Opis:: One of the biggest projects aimed at integration of the infrastructure of the European Union is the implementation of the European Rail Traffic Management System on the railway network of the Member States. Its goal is to unify the railway traffic control system in European countries, increase safety as well as ensure the interoperability of rail transport. One of its main components is ERTMS/GSM-R subsystem. This article presents the structure of the GSM-R system as well as associated systems. Services offered by the system are discussed. The rules of planning radio networks including the propagation model are described. The final part of the paper contains an example of radio planning for GSM-R system for selected railway line covering computations as well as simulation tests. The simulation of the radio coverage was prepared with the usage of ICS Telecom software.

Opis:: Paper deals with problems of KMS (Key Management System), which is developed in mobile communications GSM-R (Global System Mobile for Railway) recommended within the European Train Control System (ETCS), through the Euroradio system. Th e main part is oriented to safety procedures description of off-line KMS system between communication entities of ETCS system. In the experimental part the results of computational safety of modifi ed DES algorithm are summarised using special brute force attack to key – birthday paradox.
