Opis:
Contemporary development and the range of application as well as effectiveness of telematics solutions depend, to a larger extent, on creative implementations of the latest solutions and concepts related to the exchange of data. This article raises an issue of information interchange in business in view of changes generating on one hand new needs and on the other new possibilities. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is still a basic concept in this area, based on EDIFACT (technical aspect in ISO 9735 norm) and created in 80s of 20th century, it satisfies contemporary needs to a lesser extent. Nowadays, there is a trend towards devising modern communication solutions which can be easily modified and operate in the “cloud” in its broad sense. These modern concepts constitute a basis for a wider usage of telematics solutions in the economy and everyday life. This article makes an attempt to identify and holistically grasp determinants of such solutions. This elaboration aims to compare a traditional and a new approach to data interchange as well as to show trends and new development directions affecting the development of telematics solutions.

Opis:
Cameras and radio communications aerials placement on the few tens of meters high tower enables broad observation and analysis of the situation in a significant surrounding, enabling even installation of the mobile communications systems for own observation systems needs as well as for other goals. Article presents multifunctional mast construction – called metamast – enabling multi-variant observation and communications equipment, which can be fitted appropriately to local and functional user needs. Energy-related autonomy of the metamast, based on the renewable sources, allows easy installation in places with hindered access to electric grid. Possibilities of metamast usage for various important applications of intelligent systems area, mainly related to traffic control and it’s security, on the basis of detailed information concerning traffic and road state and conditions are described. Underlines also the meaning of the facilitated communications between driver, vehicle, road side equipment and mentioned telematic systems.

Opis:
At rest, the transport is a factor that significantly affects the life of the city and limits its further development. The expansion of the motorization brings the need to solve the static transport. The number of cars is still rising and the car is parked 90% of its lifecycle time. Motorization is evolving faster than urban centres that just missed the trend for such a short time to respond. Nowadays, the quality requirements are still growing and therefore facilities and mechanisms, which operate in these transport systems, should be improved. The telematic systems in this area are mainly applied in parking guidance systems with connection to the Control Centre, systems of parking automats and their connection to the Control Centre, information systems in parking garages and also to the technological equipment in the car parks. There is a need to be aware of the affecting practically all the people who live in the city territory with the parking and solutions of the parking systems are highly critical monitored and evaluated by the public. Automated parking systems are solutions, which offer effective solutions in congested urban areas and the historic city centre. Parking places, which are using automated parking systems, cover approximately a half of the volume compared to conventional parking houses. From an operational point of view, they are less difficult for maintaining, offering the comfort of parking for each car, fully using the parking capacity and providing a high security. In our paper, we would like to describe a possibility of intelligent static transport solution in the cities especially that provided to automated parking systems, which have a high priority in congested cities.

Opis:
This article presents the problem of proper use of navigational integrated equipment installed on modern vessels. Large number of electronic aids to navigation and even greater amount of information obtained make it possible to integrate and arrange these devices in a proper way. Such arrangement of all instruments make it possible to present all their data and information on the screen of electronic chart. The dynamic development of information technology gave rise to electronic charts. The authors focused on the possibilities which are offered by electronic charts and presented the possibility of integrating individual instruments such as gyrocompass, log, echo sounder, GPS, ARPA and AIS and the information gathered from them with an electronic chart. This is a subject with further prospects and both all the companies producing the software as well as the ship-owners aim at the most efficient use of this device in order to improve the safety of navigation. This work also presents the mistakes which are made when electronic charts are used improperly. The further development of this system and the possibilities it can offer the future users are also presented here.

Opis:
Paper presents new method how to share and process the sensitive data distributed in different databases. It is typical for ITS area that data elements are stored and managed by different public/private organizations located on different places. On the other hand a lot of telematics applications are based on the connections and further processing of shared data elements. This fact yields into requirements for new dynamical electronic identifiers that protect communication channel against sensitive information connection. We present the basic concept of application of dynamical identifiers together with illustrative example applicable for e-Government part of ITS.
