Opis:: This research presents comprehensive assessment of the precision castings quality made in the Replicast CS process. The evaluation was made based on quality of the surface layer, shape errors and the accuracy of the linear dimensions. Studies were carried out on the modern equipment, among other things a Zeiss Calypso measuring machine and profilometer were used. Obtained results allowed comparing lost wax process models and Replicast CS process.

Opis:: The paper discusses the issues related to the Replicast CS technology. The research concerning the indication of the bending strength of ceramic moulds depending on the type and configuration of the shells will determine the effect of the type of binder and powder on the mechanical properties of shell moulds. The experimental studies presented in the paper include the manufacture of polystyrene models, followed by the application of 6 layers of ceramic coatings of different types and configurations on sets of polystyrene and wax models. Next, the studies test the bending strength of the obtained samples of ceramic moulds, depending on the type and configuration of the coatings. The presented research has shown the relationship between the different configurations of the materials used for the manufacture of ceramic coatings and their bending strength. It has been shown that, by the appropriate selection of the ceramic coatings, it is possible to obtain ceramic moulds with a possibly high bending strength.

Opis:: The quality in ceramic mould precision casting process include mostly surface quality of casts and their dimensional accuracy represented by six sigma deviation from the nominal dimensions (ΔL_6δ). This article present achieved results of examination of cast’s surface finish. The dimensional analysis accuracy of expended polystyrene patterns and castings made from these patterns was executed.
Jakość w procesie odlewnictwa precyzyjnego w formy ceramiczne obejmuje przede wszystkim stan powierzchni odlewów i ich dokładność wymiarową rozumianą jako odchyłkę sześciosigmową wymiarów nominalnych (ΔL_6δ). W artykule zaprezentowano uzyskane wyniki badań stanu powierzchni odlewów. Wykonano analizę dokładności modeli z polistyrenu i odlewów wykonanych na tych modelach.

Opis:: The article presents an analysis of the applicability of the Replicast CS process as an alternative to the investment casting process, considered in terms of the dimensional accuracy of castings. Ceramic shell moulds were based on the Ekosil binder and a wide range of ceramic materials, such as crystalline quartz, fused silica, aluminosilicates and zirconium silicate. The linear dimensions were measured with a Zeiss UMC 550 machine that allowed reducing to minimum the measurement uncertainty.

Opis:: The study discusses the issues connected with the production of thin-walled ceramic slurry in the replicast cs technology. In the ceramic mould production process, a special role is played by the liquid ceramic slurry used to produce the first layer of the mould. The study examines selected technological properties of liquid ceramic slurries used to produce moulds in the replicas cs technology. The ceramic slurries for the tests were prepared based on the binders Ludox Px30 and Sizol 030, enriched with Refracourse flour. The wettability of the pattern's surface by the liquid ceramic slurry and the dependence of the apparent viscosity on the ceramic flour content in the mixture were determined. The wettability of the pattern surface by the liquid ceramic slurry was determined based on the measurement of the wetting angle. The angle was determined by means of an analysis of the computer image obtained with the use of a CDC camera.
