- The paper contains new data about the incidence and ecology of D. pictus in the Rajgród-Kobiela region, Białystok voivodeship. When examined in the period from 17-20 May, 1965, 14 cows being at grass on the pastures of 3 villages and 5 ones grazing in woods, showed each some scores of D. pictus. The searches in the country (conducted by means of flannel sheets) did also reveal the mass incidence of sexually mature D. pictus. In this connection, the authors postulate the necessity of team studies on D. pictus as a vector of transmissible diseases in people and animals from the above named territories.
