    Opis:
    The object of analysis in this paper are fixedword combinations (phraseological units and proverbs) with components denoting names of agricultural tools. They were used to conceptualize numerous ideas connected not only with the appearance of tools and agricultural work done, but also with various aspects of individual and collective life. Most of the analysed phrasemes already belong to the recessive sphere of phraseology. In order to understand them completely, it is necessary to have some knowledge of what they look like, what purpose they served and what kind of work was done with their use, which is not always clear to people who don’t know anything about the village reality.

    This analysis is based on an unpublished collection of 25 sonnets written by Wincenty Byrski one hundred years ago. They are devoted to the Tatra subject matter. The author of the article, applying the methods of cultural linguistics, discusses the descriptions of the mountain nature in the poetic language of W. Byrski. The research is focused on the toponyms, the lexis referring to different rock formations, watercourses, animated nature, atmospheric phenomena and the elements. Simultaneously, the author comments on the solemnly marked lexis, archaisms, regional expressions and comparative structures used by the poet.

    The main thesis put forward in this article is the question of folk linguistic view of Mazur in the examples of Polish, Ukrainian, Belarusian and Russian folklore. The question are analyzed on the basis of folklore materials: anectodes, traditional oral folk stories, adages and fairy tales. The research method is based on Bartminski’s and J. Matskevichsconcept of linguistic worldview. Linguistic worldview is understood as a kind of interpretation of reality and group of ideas reflected in language. Folklore is understood as reflection of popular worldview, system of beliefs and ethnic stereotypes. This article focus on a reconstruction of Mazurs linguistic creation, and also try to define his role in Slavic folk linguistic view.

    The article aims to recreate the tourist view based on the observation of the lexical layer of texts in quantitative terms. The subject of the research is the most frequent lexis excerpted in the form of an frequency list from Listy z podróży po Włoszech by Konstanty Gaszyński. The collected material consists of 300 words. The most common vocabulary was grouped into 9 semantic-lexical circles and analyzed using the research tools of cultural linguistics. The research has indicated that it is possible to reconstruct, on the basis of the analysis of the most common lexis, both the points of view in the texts and the correlated profiles of the Italian space.

    The paper, inspired by the apostolic exhortation Amorislaetitia (2016) by Pope Francis, is devoted to the notion of tenderness in the Polish language, as compared with its equivalents in other European languages, mentioned in the translations of Pope Francis’ exhortation: Italian tenerezza, French tendresse, English tenderness, German Zärtlichkeit, Russian nežnost’. Etymologies of these words, not only from the Romance languages, but also German and Russian names, are associated with the notions like gentleness and fragility, which refer to the attitude towards another person, expression of the feeling, as well as the gentle way of treating another person. In that respect, Polish differs from the other languages. The image of tenderness shaped by the Polish word czułość (etymologically connected with the verb czuć – tofeel) directs attention to the aspect of sensitivity and empathy with another person, focusing on the condition, situation in which the person finds himself/herself, as well as their needs. It is an important aspect, which is underestimated during the first reflection on this notion, as it is dominated by the meaning of expression of the feeling.

    Opis:
    The considerations set out in the article are the reason for the studies on idiolects of extraordinary creative persons of the past ages. The basis for the study is 487 private letters of a Sultan’s painter – Stanisław Chlebowski (1835–1884), sent to the family settled in Krakow, and J.I. Kraszewski, living in Drezno. The aim of the discussion is the analysis of a linguistic layer of correspondence, including especially the lexical part and phraseology, which allow for a reconstruction of the artist-painter self-portrait – his self-assessment of own works, attitude towards art, creative work, signs of everyday life and social contacts of the sender. The examined means of linguistic discourse externalize the internal states of the writer, his emotional and evaluative attitude towards the presented content, especially himself.

    The material basis of the paper is an unpublished collection of 47 sonnets by Wincenty Byrski, a poet from Podbeskidzie region. The author of the study discusses the language level of the poems (mainly lexis) in order to reconstruct the picture of Cracow preserved in the texts. According to the analysis, the poet used vocabulary and morphological forms which were known in the Polish language in previous centuries, as well as pompous lexis.     The subject of the article is the reconstruction of the image of the Bochnia land based on the analysis of toponyms collected in the commune of Żegocina. Toponymic linguistic material was examined in the context of cultural linguistics, which allowed it to reflect the image of the former village and its inhabitants, as well as to indicate the characteristic dialectal features present in this area.

    The article discusses names of associations, hitherto unresearched, from the interwar period in Poland in terms of the linguistic worldview they are a testimony to. Analysing lexical components of the names reflects great care taken of restored statehood in several domains: the Republic’s integration and firm establishment of Polishness throughout, economic and cultural development, civic education and strengthening the state’s defence.
