Opis:: For the Mierzanowice culture from western Lesser Poland, the settlement in Iwanowice, Babia Góra site, is a chronological benchmark. A large number of datings obtained for objects from Jarosław, site 158, Podkarpackie province, provides grounds for treating that settlement as a model one in the eastern range of the Mierzanowice culture. The radiocarbon dating and ceramic design features allow them to be placed in a wide chronological frame of 2200–2000 BC

Opis:: Lake Gościąż is located in a Gostinińskie Lake District (Central Poland). It contains long and good preserved continuous sequence of the annually laminated lake sediments spanning from the end of the last glaciation to contemporary times. They offer unique opportunities for investigating changes in the environment and human activity in the vicinity of the lakes. This paper is focused on correlation of palynological indicators of activity of the Mesolithic people with the picture of settlement in the region. Another problem discussed there question of reliability of palynological data, and therefore their usefulness for studies on settlement and economy

Opis:: The aim of this article is to present the latest results of geophysical researches executed in April 2017 at the site Gordineşti II-Stînca goală in northern part of the Republic of Moldova. Based on very intriguing discoveries (i.e. remains of a dwelling, part of a clay platform and one pit) during the excavations carried out in 2016 and earlier, it was decided to investigate a larger area using non-invasive geophysical method. As a result, a few types of anomalies of different shapes were identified. It seems that these anomalies indicate the occurrence of remains of the dwellings as well as hypothetical main square between them in the centre of this fortified settlement
