Opis:
The excavations on the cemetery were conducted in the years 1938–2007. There was uncovered 1504 graves, 900 are of the Przeworsk culture and others from II–V period of the Bronze Age and Halsztadt C/D. The typical feature of the burial rite on this cemetery as well as others necropolises of the Górnośląsko-Małopolska Group of the Lusatian Culture is occurrence contemporaries crematory and skeletal burials side by side. The cremation graves dominated only 20% were skeleton burials. Most grave are connected with IV and V period of the Bronze Age only 15% are earlier (II and III period). The basic aim of the present study was to determine interrelations between the type of burial furnishings as well as sex and age of the buried individuals. One only can state that furnishings in grave were probably connected with social position of the dead. Possibly other rules were practiced in infants graves because part of them were richly equipped.

Opis:
The barrow site in Zbudza is located in the East Slovak Lowland. In 1980, Elena Miroššayová carried out excavations on the burial mound (no. 1) located behind th old Jewish cemetery. The central burial pit and clusters of pottery and traces of hearths were discovered. Some potsherds the possess ornamentation typical for the Corded Ware culture. The charcoal found near the burial pit were radiocarbon dated to 4140±35 BP (Poz-151727), which can be correlated to the years 2866–2632 BC. At the site in Zbudza and the neighbouring Trnava pri Laborci, thanks to the LIDAR data, about 20 burial mounds in various states of preservation and different chronological positions were registered. Some of them should be associated with the presence of the Corded Ware and Yamna cultures from the 3rd millennium BC. Geophysical prospection of burial no. 2 located in the part of the village called “Imrička” was conducted in 2021.

Opis:
The aim of this paper is to present the multidimensional characteristics of the feature number 4 at the site in Wilczyce located on the Sandomierz Upland. During exploration of the pit rich flint material, fragments of pottery vessels and animal bones were found and just above the bottom a “deposit” involved a human skull of the young female, two cattle mandibles, a sheep/goat tibia and astragalus, a damaged cattle scapula and radius, and a polishing stone were deposited. The C14 date obtained from the tooth from the cattle jaw was 3790 ± 35 BP. Based on the shape and the size of discovered feature it is possible to classify it as a typical storage pit but presence of “deposit” enable to postulate a ritual character of assemblage that reflect some kind of burial practices of the Mierzanowice culture. Rituals in the form of interring the dead or parts of their bodies can be found also in the Unietice culture so such features may indicate the emergence of a certain supra-regional and cross-cultural trend in the early Bronze Age
