Opis:: Taxonomic and ecological analysis of 21 diatom species was carried out. 13 of them have not been recorded in Poland until the present study; they are: Amphora montana Krasske, Navícula erifuga Lange-Bertalot, N. goeppertiana (Bleisch) H. L. Smith, N.joubaudii Germain, N. libonensis Schoeman, N. oppugnata Hustedt, N. novaesiberica Lange-Bertalot, N. recens (Lange-Bertalot) Lange-Bertalot, N. stroemii Hustedt, Neídíum bisculatum var. subamplialum Krammer, Pinnularia ignobilis (Krasske) Cleve-Euler, Stauroneis lauenburgiana Hustedt, St. wislouchii Poretzky & Anisimowa. 11 of these taxa (underlined) as well as Caloneis latiuscula (Kützing) Cleve and C. molaris (Grun.) Krammer are rare species for Polish and world diatom floras. 6 taxa have been described due to changes in their nomenclature introduced by Lange-Bertalot (1986, 1993), and new localities of their occurence in Poland are also given. These species are: Caloneis alpestris (Grun.) Cl., N. laterostrata Hust., N. rynchocephala Kütz., N. rynchotella Lange-Bertalot, N. subminuscula Manguin and Pinnularia stomatophora (Grun.) Cl.

The paper presents results of a study on the occurrence and localization of 30 field weed species in middle-eastern Poland. The species are considered to be regionally and overregionally rare and most of them grow on fertile soil (rendsine, alluvial soil). They include naturally rare species or species occurring on the border of geographical ranges (Anagallis arvensis var. azurea, Aphanes arvensis, Nigella arvensis) as well as species which are close to extinction (Bromus secatinus, Digitaria sanguinalis, Lolium remotum, Sherardia arvensis, Silene noctíflora). A group of important role are also expansive species talcing possession of habitats they have never grown in before (Asperugo procumhens, Falcaría vulgaris, Lathyrus tuberosus, Vicia grandiflora). Besides the list of localities (by provinces) general characteristics of distribution of each species and abundance and dynamic tolerance of localities are given.

The paper contains proposals of the categories of threat for the group of rare and very rare segetal species in the Trzebnica Hills Macroregion. The cropfield flora of three physical-geographical units of northern Poland has been classified according to the endangerraent categories used in the Polish Red Book of Plants (Zarzycki, Kaźmierczakowa 1993). The largest number of weeds that are endangered or vulnerable are found in the Lower Vistula Valley. They include: Adonis aestivalis, Anagallis arvensis, Camelina microcarpa, Euphorbia exigua, Fumaria vaillantii, Holosteum umbellatum, Ranunculus arvensis, Sherardia arvensis and Veronica opaca. In the Elbląg Elevations Spergula arvensis ssp. maxima has become extinct, and the following are vulnerable: Agrostemma githago, Anagallis arvensis, Dromus secalinus, Camelina microcarpa, Geranium dissectum, Holosteum umbellatum and Veronica opaca. In the Charzykowy Plain Agrostemma githago, Anagallis arvensis and Camelina microcarpa are endangered by extinction.

The paper presents a preliminary list of rare and threatened segetal plants species in the Kampinos National Park. The list is based on floristical investigations which took place during 1994 and 1995. The following rare and threatened species were found: Agrostemma githago, Centaurea cyanus, Consolida regalu, Digitaria sanguinalis, Fumaria officinalis, Herniaria glabra, Holosteum umbellatum, Logfia arvensis, Papaver dubium, Papaver rhoeas, Sinapis arvensis.
