Opis:: Poland and Polish people are shown in the Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s writing in the context of complicated Polish-Russian relations. In Repentance and Self-limitation the author criticises Polish nation for being unable to repent and admit making mistakes in the past in a historical context. At the same time he claims that Russians have a natural ability to repentance, that is a condition of a moral renewal of a nation. Nevertheless, the overall picture of the Polish nation in Solzhenitsyn’s writing is positive. This Russian Nobel prize winner highlights Polish courage, pride and their undeterred struggle for freedom. In The Gulag Archipelago the author eternalises a Polish scientist named Jerzy Wegierski, a prisoner of a forced labour camp, who had been Solzhenitsyn’s friend till his death. It is also very important to highlight Solzhenitsyn’s respect and attitude toward the Pope John Paul II. The article is an attempt to recall and analyse Polish features in the Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s writing.

Opis:: Многие произведения Александра Солженицына имеют авто биографическую основу. Алленштейн (современный Ольштын) стал одной из тех отметок в личной судьбе писателя, что привели его к Нобелевской премии и всемирной известности. Алленштейн – это та пространственная точка, котораяорганизует сюжет военной повести Адлиг Швенкиттен. Данное произведение имеет весьма характерный подзаголовок – Односуточная повесть, что указываетна временной отрезок, в котором заключено действие повести. Заголовок говорит о пространственных координатах: узкой локальной зоне в Восточной Пруссии,куда делается переброска войск тяжелой артиллерии, лишенных поддержки пехоты и далеко отставшего тыла. Хронотоп повести задан предельно конкретно уже в самом названии: заголовок определяет пространственные, а подзаголовок – временные координаты. В художественном отношении это те моменты, которые характеризуют сюжетную специфику повести. Художественное преображение событий жизни писателя становится знаковым явлением в литературе, когда за обычными деталямивыступает целая художественная вселенная, связанная, по мысли писателя, «спервоосновами человеческого бытия».
Many literary works of Alexandr Solzhenitsyn have an autobiographicalbasis. Allenstein (present-day Olsztyn) is one of the important points in Solzhenitsyn’s personal life which led to the Nobel Prize and worldwide fame for the writer. Allenstein becomes one of crucial spatial points that organize the plot of Solzhenitsyn’s military storyAdlig Schwenkitten. This work has a very characteristic subtitle, “A Tale of 24 Hours”.The subtitle indicates the time of the story. The header contains information about spatial (geographic) coordinates. This is a narrow local area in East Prussia. The forward units of heavy artillery troops move here, while the infantry and rear services remain farbehind. The chronotope of the story is set in an extremely specific way already in the title itself: the title defines the spatial coordinates, and the subtitle defines the temporal coordinates. In artistic terms, these are the moments that characterize the plot specificity of the story. The writer transforms the events of his life with the help of artistic means.This transformation becomes a landmark phenomenon in literature. Behind the usual details, you can see the whole artistic universe, which, as the writer said, is connected “with the fundamental principles of human existence”.
