Opis:
With the help of structural parameters and elastic constants obtained previously in our work (S. Daoud, N. Boiud, N. Lebga, J. Optoelectron. Adv. Mater. 16, 207 (2014)), different empirical formulae were successfully used to investigate: equation of state, the isotropic shear modulus, the Young modulus, the Cauchy ratio, the Born ratio, the Poisson ratio, the Pugh ratio, the Kleinman parameter, and the converse piezoelectric coefficient of the aggregate AlP material with cubic zinc-blende structure under pressure up to experimental pressure of phase transition (9.5 GPa). In addition, the Debye temperature at equilibrium volume was predicted, the result obtained is in excellent agreement compared to the experimental ones, the deviation is less than 1.4%.

Opis:
Clinching is an effective joining technique for lightweight sheet materials that are difficult or impossible to weld. A theoretical model for clinched joints in metal sheets was established and a design method for improving joint strength by selecting different clinching tools was proposed. The analytic model is defined as a function of the neck-thickness and the undercut, which are the key parameters of joint geometry. Based on the analytic model, the design method of clinched joint strength that can satisfy required strength was proposed. Clinching experiments were conducted with 2.00 mm thick aluminium alloy 5052 sheets. Various conditions were used during the clinching process to validate the joint strength model. Tensile-shear strength of clinched joints was measured by a servo-hydraulic testing machine. The calculated joint strength was in good agreement with the experimental results.

Opis:
Aluminum alloy AA5754 is used for many technical and industrial applications. Twin roll casting is unique among the casting processes in that it is a combined "solidification/deformation" technique. The simultaneous solidification and hot rolling produces characteristic microstructure with a fine cell size and intermetallic particle distribution with some residual structure. In the study, first AA5754 alloy (tread and plain sheet) strips were fabricated by using a twin-roll caster equipped with water-cooled steel-rolls. To reduce the thickness of the strip, cold rolling process was applied until strip thickness got 3 mm. After homogenization step the strips were cut in to smaller specimens and annealed at 260°C, 285°C, 310°C, 340°C, 370°C, 400°C, 430°C, 460°C, 490°C, 520°C for 3 hours to obtain the desired temper conditions. Mechanical properties were investigated after processes. Tensile, hardness and bending tests were applied to monitor the effect of annealing after cold rolling process.

Opis:
In this paper there is presented the mechanical behavior of the one lead-zirconate-titanate by its atomic number and its certain mechanical behavior is simulated by the mathematical modeling and ABAQUS software for smart materials, as well as prediction of mechanical behaviors. Also in this smart material (Pb-Zr-Ti) the grain size according to molar ratio is studied. This mechanical behavior is modeled by the exponential and polynomial formula from one to ten degree. Next there are defined the new relations for mechanical behavior and composition weight ratio, between composed elements for triplex lead-zirconate-titanate and dual smart materials. Triplex lead-zirconate-titanate has been selected as main and important material for the development of smart structures. In addition, the relation between atomic number and weight ratio in one smart material (Ni-Ti) is investigated briefly. In this work, change of resistance and voltage, pressure, grain size, molar ratio, residual stress, content of zirconate and the other mechanical properties are studied.

Opis:
This study is concerned with the research and development in the field of materials science, leading to the industrial applications especially for the development of materials by moulding process. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of vanadium on microstructural, mechanical and electrochemical properties of gray cast iron with lamellar graphite EN-FGL250. We investigated the effect of adding element (vanadium), during the casting of the metal in the mould, in a powder form having a particle size of 0.5 mm with the amounts of 1%, 3% and 5% in weight percent on microstructural and mechanical properties of gray cast iron with lamellar graphite. The originality of this work is the addition of the vanadium powder during the last stage of cooling of the melted gray cast iron EN-FGL250. These additions have a significant impact on the solidification phenomenon since the deposited vanadium powder into the sand moulds creates the new sites of nucleation and absorbs a lot of heat leading to the fast cooling. From the experimental results, we can confirm that the cooling rate directly affects the microstructural, mechanical and electrochemical behavior of the cast gray iron treated with vanadium. As result, it was observed that there is a slight decrease of the elasticity modulus of the work pieces, and a reduction of the maximum tensile resistance R_{m}. Finally, the addition of vanadium considerably reduces the corrosion current of gray cast iron treated with vanadium.
