This paper presents 18 species of fungi that are new to the Kampinos National Park and their buffer zone. Seventeen of these species were found during studies on wind-damaged areas after the forest was damaged in 2017. One species new to Poland has been described and illustrated (Odonticium septocystidiatum). A few of the species recorded (Ciliolarina cfr. laricina, Daldinia petriniae, Pseudovalsa umbonata, Spongipellis litschaueri) are very rare in Poland and hitherto mentioned from single localities in the country. Two species from the Polish red list of macrofungi were recorded in the Kampinos National Park for the first time – namely, Punctularia strigosozonata (E) and Trichaptum biforme (R). The current number of macromycete taxa known from Kampinos National Park has reached a total of 1,630.

We identified 17 species of fungi that are new to Kampinos National Park. Sixteen were found during surveys of areas damaged by a strong wind in 2017. The remaining species was found outside the windthrow area. Descriptions of four species new to Poland (Cortinarius subcompar, Hyaloscypha quercicola, Hypocrea tremelloides, and Trechispora aff. invisitata) are also provided. The current number of macromycetes taxa identified in Kampinos National Park is 1,654.

Opis:
A revised lichen catalog for Georgia, the South Caucasus, the second after 1986, is presented here. It is based on a literature survey and recent study of herbarium material. The list includes 713 species of lichens and nine species of nonlichenized fungi traditionally treated by lichenologists. As a basis for the present catalog, 106 literature sources reporting the first findings of the listed taxa in floristic regions of Georgia were used. The accepted taxa in bold are followed by references from the literature, if applicable, as well as references from herbarium specimens seen by us at local and several foreign herbaria. Specimens of the 547 of the 722 reported species are stored in the local herbaria: 542 at the National Herbarium of Georgia, the Institute of Botany, Ilia State University, Tbilisi (TBI), and 94 in the Herbarium of the State Museum of Georgia, Tbilisi (TGM). In each literature citation and herbarium code, the occurrence of respective species in Georgia's floristic regions is given. In addition, a short historical background and comprehensive bibliography are provided.

Occurrence of a spring ascomycete, Sarcosoma globosum has increased in Finland during the last three decades. River banks and old spruce forests are its typical habitats. Some of its habitats are damaged or even destroyed, however, because of forestry and building of roads and houses. It is a care-demanding fungus on the Finnish Red List, according to the IUCN criteria, but its present status is being discussed.

In this paper, we present results of survey on the occurrence of true morels, conducted in the Ojców National Park (ONP). The first data about true morels from the area of the ONP date back to the nineteenth century. However, despite multiple surveys in the next decades, their presence has not been confirmed. Therefore, true morels were thought to be extinct in the ONP. In 2014 and 2015, two morphotypes of true morel fruiting bodies were discovered in two sites, identified as black morels and yellow morels. In 2016, we collected three fruiting bodies for detailed morphological characterization and molecular identification. According to our results, these morels were identified as Morchella deliciosa and Morchella esculenta. Our finding is the first confirmation of the occurrence of both species (as they are presently recognized) in Poland.

The paper presents 32 species of macrofungi new to the Kampinos National Park, found during the studies on fire-damaged areas after the forest fires in 2015. Three species new to Poland were described and illustrated (Calycellina leucella, Exobasidium juelianum, and Gymnopilus decipiens). Four species from Polish red list of macrofungi have been recorded in the Kampinos National Park for the first time: Botryobasidium vagum (R), Geastrum coronatum (V), Helicogloea farinacea (E), Inonotus cuticularis (R). During the current studies 17 pyrophilous species new to the Kampinos National Park were found.

Continuation of the mycological study of the fire-damaged pine forest in Kampinos National Park in central Poland in 2017 produced interesting new findings. Among the taxa collected, 36 were new to the park, six had not been hitherto reported from Poland (Calycellina araneocincta, Ciliolarina aff. laetifica, Clitocybe metachroides, Galerina cerina f. longicystis, Parasola cuniculorum, Pleonectria pinicola), and the previous status of one taxon (Pleonectria cucurbitula) had been uncertain. Short descriptions based on collected specimens have been prepared for all taxa new to Poland. The current number of taxa of macromycetes identified in Kampinos National Park has reached 1,604.

This report deals with 79 species of fungi, collected in Cyprus in the second fortnight of November 2011. The list is annotated with diagnostic characters given for some of the specimens. Several taxa are of special interest due to their rarity: Conferticium ochraceum, Eutypa scabrosa, Glonium lineare, Hymenoscyphus calyculus, Hypoderma incrustatum, Hyphoderma nemorale, Hysterographium mori, Myriostoma coliforme, Rectipilus cistophilus, Stictis friabilis, Stictis radiata, Thanatephorus sterigmaticus, Tomentella asperula and Vuilleminia megalospora.

The Bieszczady Mts, a mountain range in SE Poland, is a hot spot of fungal richness and diversity in Poland. This paper summarizes 5 years of studies in the Bieszczady Mts, as well as previously published research. A total of 1,377 macromycetes taxa were found, including many (464) which were protected, red-listed, or very rare in Poland. Thirty-eight taxa (nine Ascomycota and 29 Basidiomycota) have been reported in Poland for the first time: Agrocybe gibberosa, Auriporia aurulenta, Bolbitius variicolor, Bulgariella pulla, Chaetosphaerella phaeostroma, Clitocybe subspadicea, Clitopilus passeckerianus, Cortinarius anomalus var. subcaligatus, C. fervidus, C. flexipes var. inolens, C. sylvae-norvegicae, Cudoniella tenuispora, Entoloma bisporigerum, E. olorinum, E. poliopus var. parvisporigerum, E. sericeoides, Galerina caulocystidiata, Gymnopilus josserandii, Hymenoscyphus subferrugineus, Hypholoma olivaceotinctum, Inocybe queletii, Laccaria altaica, Lactarius romagnesii, L. rostratus, Mycena epipterygia var. atroviscosa, M. epipterygia var. candida, M. polygramma f. candida, Octavianina lutea, O. mutabilis, Pachyella violaceonigra, Panaeolus papilionaceus var. capitatocystis, Phaeocollybia jennyae, Psathyrella almerensis, Pyrenopeziza inornata, Scutellinia torrentis, Tricholoma basirubens, Tricholomopsis flammula, and Vibrissea decolorans. The internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region is regarded as a formal fungal primary barcode with a high probability of the correct identification for a broad group of fungi. ITS sequences have been widely used to determine many fungal species and analysis of rDNA ITS is still one of the most popular tools used in mycology. However, this region is not equally variable in all groups of fungi; therefore, identification may be problematic and result in ambiguous data, especially in some species-rich genera of Ascomycota. For these reasons, identification based on rDNA ITS is usually complemented by morphological observations and analysis of additional genes. Reliable species identification of Ascomycota members is essential in diagnosing plant diseases, verifying air quality and the effectiveness of agronomic practices, or analyzing relationships between microorganisms. Therefore, the present study aimed to verify, using specific examples, the extent to which ITS sequence analysis is useful in species identification of pathogens and saprobionts from Ascomycota and demonstrate problems related to such identification in practice. We analyzed 105 ITS sequences of isolates originating from air and plant material. Basic local alignment search tool (BLASTn) significantly contributed to the reliable species identification of nearly 80% of isolates such as Arthrinium arundinis, Beauveria bassiana, Boeremia exigua, Cladosporium cladosporioides, Epicoccum nigrum, Nigrospora oryzae, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, or Sordaria fimicola and members of the genera Alternaria and Trichoderma. However, for most isolates, additional morphological observations, information regarding the isolate origin and, where possible, a PCR with species-specific primers were helpful and complementary. Using our practical approach, we determined that ITS-based species identification and comparative analysis with GenBank sequences significantly helps identifying Ascomycota members. However, in many cases, this should be regarded as suggestive of a taxon because the data usually require the use of additional tools to verify the results of such analysis.

For the first time, the genus Hesperomyces has been reported to infect Coleomegilla maculata in laboratory mass rearing in Brazil. Thalli were found growing on several parts of this ladybird species, including the head, elytra, legs, and abdomen. Infested adults died after 60 days.

Investigations carried out in recent years have provided new data on the localities of some rare hypogeous fungi in Central Europe. In this study, we present new localities of Leucangium carthusianum, Melanogaster luteus, and Rhizopogon melanogastroides, two of which are new for Poland. Sporocarps of L. carthusianum were found in seven new localities in mixed and coniferous forests in the Western Carpathians as well as in Sudetes. In Poland, the species was also recorded in a mixed forest in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. Fir, Abies alba, accompanied the fungus in almost all known localities. Three localities of M. luteus were found in the Polish Western and Eastern Carpathians in Alnus incana communities mostly associated with streams. Knowledge of the distribution of this species in Europe is incomplete due to the complicated taxonomic history; nevertheless, it is regarded as rare, despite its wide distribution. One new locality of R. melanogastroides recorded in the Tatra Mts, Western Carpathians, is the fourth known to date. This species is mostly associated with Pinus mugo in high mountain localities (the Alps, the Tatra Mts). In this study, detailed descriptions and illustrations of the macro- and micromorphological features of the species are provided.

Based on collections of P. Czarnota deposited in the GPN herbarium, 8 species of Rhizocarpon are reported from the Gorce Mountains. Two of them, R. lavatum and R. reductum are reported from the Gorce Mts for the first time, instead of erroneously determined R. obscuratum. This species was previously misinterpreted due to taxonomic and nomenclatoric uncertainties.
W zbiorach zielnikowych GPN z Gorców stwierdzono 8 gatunków Rhizocarpon (R. distinctum, R. geminatum, R. geographicum, R. lavatum, R. lecanorinum, R. petraeum, R. polycarpum, R. reductum). Po raz pierwszy dla tego terenu podano dwa gatunki Rhizocarpon lavatum i R. reductum. Wyróżnienie nowych gatunków związane jest ze zmianą ujęcia taksonomicznego i nomenklatorycznego reprezentantów grupy Rhizocarpon obscuratum auct., charakteryzujących się bezbarwnymi i murkowatymi zarodnikami (Fryday 2000; Ihlen 2004). W oznaczeniu tych gatunków wykorzystano chromatografię cienkowarstwową (TLC), która pozwoliła określić ich cechy chemiczne: obecność kwasu stiktowego u R. reductum i brak wtórnych metabolitów u R. lavatum. Pierwszy z tych gatunków charakteryzuje się ponadto mniejszymi i mniej podzielonymi zarodnikami [24.0-26.0×8.0-10.0 μm, (6-)8-10(-12) komórek], podczas gdy zarodniki R. lavatum osiągają rozmiary 30.0-42.0×14.0-18.0 μm i są podzielone na (8-)10-14(-18) komórek.
