    The article focuses on the phenomenon of open innovation (OI), which is a peculiar contrast to so-called closed innovations that assume that the process of creating new values requires control to guarantee success. The main assumptions of Open Innovation are the creation of multi-departmental capitals that bring together businesses, organizations, and research units dedicated to the common goal of creating and developing innovative products. The role of networks and stakeholders was discussed in the context of the introduction and use of external knowledge, access to new markets of skills, knowledge and others. The text focuses on the determinants of the implementation of open innovation and clusters as a source of innovation and synergy of benefit. In the context of the essence and assumptions of Open Innovation, the Bioenergy Cluster for the Region and the deENnet Network were analyzed.

    The article consists of three integral parts. It characterises the essence of the functioning of creative clusters, the concept of open innovation and crowdsourcing strategic dimension. Considerations presented in the article are focused on the importance of crowdsourcing in the development of creative clusters. The problem of using crowdsourcing to solve complex problems can be evaluated with multiple levels and multiple perspectives. The authors emphasise that this model of communication between cluster members and external stakeholders allows the use of internal and external resources of creativity in the process of co-creation of positive changes, including innovations (e.g. entrepreneurial solutions to local and global new challenges). They indicate that the implementation of the crowdsourcing in creative clusters can have both, a commercial dimension, where new business projects are the result of the transfer of knowledge, and a non-commercial one, for instance, a wider use of this concept in the development of creative spaces. It was stressed that innovativeness is one of the attributes of entrepreneurial orientation of clusters. Moreover, the key barriers to development of open innovation within a cluster environment are different problems related to intellectual property. The article is based on theoretical research (literature review) and on desk research. Considerations contained herein are conceptual and provide a starting point for further research on the impact of crowdsourcing on the open innovation process within creative clusters.

    The significance of renewable energy resources is commonly recognized. The challenges are there to create cooperative bodies, which would impose certain solutions to make the idea not only well known, but also understood and implemented. The example of such cluster initiative is deENet, which is presented below. The goal of this article is to present the scheme of cooperation within a cluster body and present the results of deENet opetarion’s analysis.
    Znaczenie odnawialnych źródeł energii jest powszechnie uznawane. Wyzwaniem pozostaje jednak tworzenie instytucji sieciowych, które nie tylko upowszechniają wiedzę i technologie związane z OZE, ale także przyczyniają się do ich wdrożenia w praktyce. Przykładem takiej instytucji jest inicjatywa klastrowa deENet. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie programu współpracy w ramach deENet.

    The article investigates cluster approach to arrange economic policy in world countries. Cluster implication is discussed as a formation with its specifics and main characteristics. Cluster policy contents, essence, goals, types and differences are reviewed. Practical implementation of cluster policy in leading European countries is researched; problems and achieved results are determined. The problem of identifying and building up cluster formations is debated. Challenges and prospects for creating territorial clusters are determined together with cluster policy implementation in Ukraine as well as public and regional policy in supporting clusters’ development is reviewed. The article proves that public authority bodies’ activities in the sphere of cluster model implementation for Ukrainian industry development should be directed on activating the government role in cluster formation on the basis of public-private partnership as well as on creating favorable macro-economic, information and legal-regulatory environment to develop cluster-type business networks.

    There is a great need for cooperation of entities from different sectors of the economy to make development more efficient and fruitful. Since clusters and networks are complex structures while analyzed alone, it is a specially hard task to create networks of cooperation not only within them, but also between them. While the international component is added there, it seems of crucial importance to create a cooperation model with a well-designed monitoring system to make such cooperation possible, which was the main goal of the article.
    Model współpracy między klastra Bioenergia dla Regionu i siecią kompetencji deENet został opracowany na podstawie informacji zebranych w ciągu wielu lat doświadczeń zdobytych podczas członków sieci deENet i Klastra Bioenergia dla Regionu. Model uwzględnia różne aspekty współpracy: badawcze, koncentrujące się na zagadnieniach związanych z odnawialnymi źródłami energii, organizacyjne i logistyczne, kulturowe i finansowe. Ponadto, model jest osadzony w istniejących przepisach prawa: europejskich, wspólnych dla obu sieci, jak również z obowiązującymi przepisami w Polsce i Niemczech. Model systematyzuje relacje między głównymi rodzajami powiązań i połączeń między członkami i przedstawia zestaw narzędzi i metod, które można wykorzystać do efektywnego i skutecznego budowania pozytywnych relacji między uczestnikami współpracy.

    Opis:
    The broadly understood cooperation of science and economy is a priority in the present reality. In spite of this, the awareness of business entities and scientific units regarding the applicability of the Open Innovation (OI) model is marginal. It is advisable to promote the idea of OI in line with the trends of the world economy, in which companies are involved in the development of advanced technologies. In practice, however, the low interest in OI or innovativeness as such may pose a threat to the economic development of the Łódź voivodeship. This article focuses on studies carried out under the InfoPro project among the members of the Bioenergy for the Region Cluster to show good practices and recommendations that can be used by stakeholders and those involved in the process of transferring knowledge and innovation. At the same time, postulates were formulated, which should play a key role in the development strategy for Łódzkie voivodeship in the context of promoting and taking into account innovativeness as an economic propulsion.
    Szeroko pojmowana współpraca nauki i gospodarki stanowi priorytet współczesnej rzeczywistości. Pomimo tego, świadomość podmiotów gospodarczych oraz jednostek naukowych na temat możliwości stosowania modelu Open Innovation jest marginalna. Zaleca się wprawdzie promowanie idei OI, zgodnie z trendami światowej gospodarki, w której na znaczeniu przybierają firmy, zajmujące się opracowywaniem zaawansowanych technologii, w praktyce jednak – niskie zainteresowanie OI lub innowacyjnością, jako taką stanowić może zagrożenie dla rozwoju gospodarczego województwa łódzkiego. W artykule skupiono się zatem na badaniach przeprowadzonych w ramach projektu InfoPro, wśród członków Klastra Bioenergia dla Regionu, w celu ukazania dobrych praktyk i zaleceń, do wykorzystania przez zainteresowanych oraz uczestniczących w procesie transferu wiedzy i innowacji. Sformułowano jednocześnie postulaty, które powinny odegrać kluczową rolę w strategii rozwoju województwa łódzkiego, w kontekście promowania i uwzględniania innowacyjności, jako napędu gospodarczego.
