Opis:
The role and place of the Church in the Christ’s redemptive work and ecclesial mediation on grace are an everlasting moot point for Lutherans and Catholics. Neither of the parties negates this reality of the Church, the difference, however, regards the meaning of those expressions. At the end of the second stage of the Catholic-Lutheran dialogue and during the third one a statement on the existence of fundamental discrepancy (Grunddifferenz, Fundamentaldissens) appeared, which is at the core of the division between both denominations. The existence of that discrepancy has been evident first of all in the issue of the role of the Church in the event of redemption, in the understanding of sacramentality and instrumental role of the Church and human co-operation in the redemption event. Signed ecumenical documents, in particular Joint declaration on the doctrine of justification, must involve dogmatic implications also in the area of ecclesiology, so as to avoid complaints that the dialogue between the Churches and signed document on the justification have actually changed nothing. Hence, drawing theological-dogmatic conclusions from the already signed documents, it is worth rethinking and expressing criticism of those proposal in order to fully replace a concept of “sacrament” regarding to redeemed instrumentalization of the Church and use the terms “sign” and “tool” instead or to develop a different theological language which will be devoid of ambiguity. Such an attitude to the above mentioned issue would allow us to emphasize the consent of both parties in such an important discipline as ecclesiology. Both parties of the dialogue agree that the relationship of Christ and the Church cannot be presented in the way which would cover inequality of this relationship. Both the Catholics and the Lutherans agree that in the New Testament the relationship between Christ and the Church is based at the same time on unity and distinctness, excluding, thus, any identity. The Church, in the light of the doctrine on justification, is first of all the redeemed and gifted Church, which exclusively due to Christ through the Word and Sacrament is the place of effective salvation. There is also a consent that neither people nor the Church can be perpetrators of salvation, nor can they administer it. The salvation is always a gift.

Opis:
The aim of the article is to show Luther’s view on the “bondage of the will” and its impact on the theological and philosophical thoughts they have had in Europe and the United States. The thesis of “the bondage of the will” explained in a booklet De Servo Arbitrio from December, 1525 is a base for not only anthropology but also theology and christology of the weimarsky reformer. According to this idea a person is redeemed only through faith (sola fides) and any human will’s cooperation with God’s grace is impossible because the human’s nature is totally decayed and sinful since the original sin. The Council of Trent was a reaction to Martin Luther’s ideas. It emphasized that we are in fact excused through the faith in Jesus, yet it happens with our responsibility and cooperation with God’s grace.

Opis:
The purpose of this paper was to show a justificatory aspect of the Eucharist. This sacrament has got positive and negative aspects. The Eucharist is a sacrament which leads to gradual justification through transformation of a whole human being into the resurrected Christ, which will be immortalized in the final kingdom in which the whole Christian life is included. This is a splendid synthesis of grace and cooperation of a human being, sacramental and ascetic life, liturgy and life, presence and future. The Eucharist continues the process of justification initiated by baptism. Therefore, it is a sacrament which in its repeatable character points out this healing effect of Christ on our nature, sick due to sin. The grace of justification is particularly received in the Eucharist. The sacrament of Baptism we take only once. We often receive the Eucharist because we often offend God. Looking for the grace of justification we are trying to expiate for our guilt, that is why we have to turn back and to overcome sin; those factors would not be effective in our fight against the sin, if we did not add the Eucharist, the only remedy for human evil.

Opis:
A term "supernatural existential" in theology has been introduced by Karl Rahner. It refers to a position of man before God prior to his justification thanks to received grace, in other words to the position as far as it is marked by the universal redemptive will of God. Man by the very fact of his creation has a certain deposit of God’s action and grace in him as he is created in the image of God. A free action of God towards a human being seems to be irreversible in its nature because God from the very beginning desires human salvation. The purpose of this paper is to show "supernatural existential" as reception of grace in a human being based on Karl Rahner’s theology. The term "supernatural existential" is not biblical but it was formed pursuant to the knowledge about universal redemptive will of God – terminus creatus conveniens. With its help Rahner is trying to explain what it practically means that Jesus Christ is the beginning of faith in man. Reception, i.e. reception of faith, grace, its precepts but always without any obligation and without special arguments, takes place only with full personal consent, because it is a free inner act of a human being. This consent which takes place in a human being has a volitional character. It is constant cooperation. It includes self-communication of God “Justified without one’s merit, man indeed becomes the temple of God, he is indwelled by the Holy Spirit as the most adequate and greatest gift”. Man is open to God, and the condition of this openness and self-communication of God is supernatural existential.
