Opis:: Quantum contextuality and its ontological meaning are very controversial issues, and they relate to other problems concerning the foundations of quantum theory. I address this controversy and stress the fact that contextuality is a universal topological property of quantum processes, which conflicts with the basic metaphysical assumption of the definiteness of being. I discuss the consequences of this fact and argue that generic quantum potentiality as a real physical indefiniteness has nothing in common with the classical notions of possibility and counterfactuality, and that also it reverses, in a way, the classical mirror-like relation between actuality and definite possibility.

Opis:: The thesis researches Christmas rites in Bojkivshchyna during Ukraine’s independence and is based upon analysis of scientific literature and a large amount of information sources. The author found out that motivation for many Christmas ceremonies was changed or lost; many rites cease to be actively used altogether. However it is proved that the basis of Christmas rites in Bojkivshchyna is retained better if compared to other Ukrainian regions. The paper describes and analyses reasons for changes and transformations of the traditional Bojkos’ winter rituals.
В статье рассматриваются изменения формы и содержания рождественских обрядов этнографической группы украинцев, автохтонных жителей Карпат – бойков. Объясняются причины этих трансформаций. Доказывается, что при всех изменениях зимняя календарная обрядность бойков сохранена в наше время значительно лучше, чем обрядность других историко-этнографических областей Украины.

Opis:: A presentation of the painting 'Boy Carrying a Sheaf' by Aleksander Gierymski as seen by a conservator-technologist. Historians of art regard this composition to be one of the first and most important Impressionist works in the oeuvre of an artist who experimented with painting techniques. It was precisely the manner of executing this canvas that betrayed inspiration by French painting, which became the reason for subjecting the composition to interdisciplinary conservation research intent on demonstrating the analogies of its technique and technology with Impressionist art. Up to now, 'Boy Carrying a Sheaf' had not been the object of meticulous interdisciplinary analyses. The conducted investigations made it possible to identify the painting material applied by the artist and the manner of his painterly approach. They displayed a number of essential workshop features characteristic for Gierymski's oeuvre, such as familiarity with the properties of the used material and the techniques applied for the purpose of attaining the planned effect. The studies also revealed that Gierymski was acquainted with technical novelties of the period and sought individual workshop solutions, confirmed by his treatment of technology, stressed by historians of art, and the aptness of the laudatory appraisal of his works, formulated by the history of art.
