- The respecting of rights and duties, as well as forced complying with the obligations within the labour law relationships is one of the most observed legal phenomenon of the contemporary labour law. In this paper author tries to provide the reader with a comprehensive view on the safeguarding measures in the sphere of Slovak labour law. In this context, author also wants to find out, if the changes of the legal rules can influence the stability of the labour relationship, or incorporate the unwanted elements into its structure. Primary focus is placed on analysing of Slovak legal regulations of three basic legal safeguarding instruments, namely: agreement on wage deductions, liability, agreement on lien, which are legaly regulated in the article 20 of the Labour Code. The second main aim of the submitted article is to find an optimal model, applicable in Slovak legal environment, while maintaining a balance between enforcement of employee’s duties and security of employer’s rights.
