    Opis:
    W artykule przedstawiono przetwornik impulsowo-kodowy o wybieralnej rozdzielczości i charakterystyce statycznej opisanej funkcją pierwiastka kwadratowego. Przeanalizowano możliwości i koszty jego realizacji na bazie układów FPGA oraz porównano jego właściwości i koszty realizacji z przetwornikiem zbudowanym z wykorzystaniem pamięci stałej ROM.
    In the paper an impulse-code converter with selected number bit of output signal with square-root transform function is presented. There are analyzed two methods of realization this type of function converter (on FPGA and ROM) and an estimation of costs both implementations is compared.

    This article deals with the first hitting times of a Bessel process to a square-root boundary. We obtain the explicit form of the distribution function of the hitting time by means of zeros of the confluent hypergeometric function with respect to the first parameter. In deducing the distribution function, the time that a radial Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process reaches a certain point is very useful and plays an important role. We also give its distribution function in the case that the starting point is closer to the origin than the arrival site.

    Let P(z,β) be the Poisson kernel in the unit disk , and let $P_{λ}f(z) = ʃ_{∂} P(z,φ)^{1//2+λ} f(φ)dφ$ be the λ -Poisson integral of f, where $f ∈ L^p(∂)$. We let $P_{λ}f$ be the normalization $P_{λ}f//P_{λ}1$. If λ >0, we know that the best (regular) regions where $P_{λ}f$ converges to f for a.a. points on ∂ are of nontangential type. If λ =0 the situation is different. In a previous paper, we proved a result concerning the convergence of $P_0f$ toward f in an $L^p$ weakly tangential region, if $f ∈ L^p(∂)$ and p > 1. In the present paper we will extend the result to symmetric spaces X of rank 1. Let f be an $L^p$ function on the maximal distinguished boundary K/M of X. Then $P_{0}f(x)$ will converge to f(kM) as x tends to kM in an $L^p$ weakly tangential region, for a.a. kM ∈ K/M.

    Opis:
    This paper presents the way of identifying the influence of the tolerance of model pumps (TYPE 3PWR-SE) construction on the total efficiency. The identification of sensitive control dimensions (Value / Tolerance) of examined pumps has been made by means of the multi-valued logic and inductive decision trees. In order to confirm the obtained results, multiple-valued logic trees have been used in the paper according to algorithms for the minimization of individual logic functions. What is more, a specific monotonicity of values of the most key parameters has been determined for the investigated set of pumps having individual specification numbers.

    In the paper, maximal values xe(τ) of the solutions x(t) of the linear differential equations excited by the Dirac delta function are determined. The analytical solutions of the equations and also the maximal positive values of these solutions are obtained. The analytical formulae enable the design of the system with prescribed properties. The complementary case to the earlier paper is presented. In an earlier paper it was assumed that the roots si are different, and now we consider the case when s1=s2=...=sn.

    This paper presents a methodology for identifying the influence of the tolerances used in model pump (TYPE 1PWR – SE) construction on the total efficiency. The identification of the sensitive control dimensions (Value/Tolerance) of examined pumps has been made by means of multi-valued logic and inductive decision trees. The innovation of the prototype unit is based on oblique gears with involute teeth, modified in the lower and upper part of the profile. The modification in the lower part was made using the so-called tooth root undercutting technique. Through the use of multivalent logic trees, the designated rank of importance of both structural and operational parameters is identified, taking into account the effect of tolerances on construction. The area is increased by cutting the oblique teeth.

    Celem badania było ustalenie czy stopy bezrobocia w 8 gospodarkach nowo uprzemysłowionych kształtują się zgodnie z hipotezą stopy naturalnej czy z hipotezą histerezy. W tym celu zastosowano wiele rodzajów testów pierwiastka jednostkowego w odniesieniu danych kwartalnych zebranych między 1 kwartałem 2002 a 1 kwartałem 2017. Podsumowując ustalenia można stwierdzić, że konwencjonalne testy pierwiastka jednostkowego, które nie uwzględniają ani asymetrii, ani zmian strukturalnych, dają najbardziej niejednoznaczne wyniki. Z drugiej strony, testy uwzględniające zmiany strukturalne przy zignorowaniu asymetrii potwierdzałyby hipotezę stopy naturalnej dla przyjętego panelu państw. Jednak jednoczesne uwzględnienie asymetrii i niezauważalnych zmian strukturalnych wydaje się dawać najbardziej wiarygodne wyniki i potwierdza histerezę w przypadku stóp bezrobocia wszystkich państw, za wyjątkiem gospodarek/państw azjatyckich: Tajlandii i Filipin.
    The focus of our study is on determining whether unemployment rates in 8 New Industrialized Economies conform to the natural rate hypothesis or the hysteresis hypothesis. To this end, we employ a variety of unit of unit root testing procedures to quarterly data collected between 2002:q1 and 2017:q1. Summarizing of our findings, conventional unit root tests which account neither for asymmetries nor structural breaks produce the most inconclusive results. On the other hand, tests which incorporate structural breaks while ignoring asymmetries tends to favour the natural rate hypothesis for our panel of countries. However, simultaneously accounting for asymmetries and unobserved structural breaks seemingly produces the most robust findings and confirms hysteresis in all unemployment rates except for Asian economies/countries of Thailand and the Philippines.
