The paper presents an issue of transformation of the segment A car powered by combustion engine with automatic transmission into version powered by electric motor only. The authors have presented a concept of layout of electric powertrain components, selection of parameters of the electric motor and the main battery, as well as integration of electric-electronic systems of the car to assure operational and traction parameters of the car corresponding to the version with combustion engine, and enabling operation of the transformed car on public roads.
W artykule przedstawiono problematykę transformacji pojazdu segmentu A, napędzanego silnikiem spalinowym z automatyczną skrzynią biegów, na wersję napędzaną wyłącznie silnikiem elektrycznym. Zaprezentowano ideę rozmieszczenia komponentów napędu elektrycznego, doboru parametrów silnika oraz baterii głównej i integracji systemów elektroniczno-elektrycznych pojazdu, zapewniającą uzyskanie jego parametrów użytkowych i trakcyjnych odpowiadających wersji spalinowej, z zachowaniem możliwości normalnego użytkowania pojazdu na drogach publicznych.

Many economic phenomena, including flows of money, can be treated as manifestations of operation of specific networks. In contrast to the popularity of analyses of network structure and dynamics in sociology and physics, economic investigations concerning network approach in general and network properties of money in particular have not been popular until recently. This paper presents the concept of money as a network good and its features (complementarity, standardization, consumption externalities, switching costs, lock-in, dependence on social preferences and expectations and economies of scale in production). It is asserted that network theory of money may shed new light on such processes as monetary integration.

Opis:
Creation of network structures in contemporary organizations becomes the norm of the functioning. The creation of multidimensional structures in evolutionary relations, where it is difficult to determine now the organization's boundaries no longer makes business process integration is becoming one of the most important problems. In addition, the development of information technology has enabled to contribute and share information resources. The above phenomenon indicative of the pursuit of the integration of business processes and technologies used in the activity. So in the article, the authors presented the main attributes of the network structures, which, on the one hand, affect the efficiency of the network agreement and, on the other hand, determine the shape of the business processes supported by the technology used. Indicated on the correlation between what the implementation of technological solutions and the need to integrate processes for example of the application of solutions SOA (Service Oriented Architecture).

The research presented in the paper used tools offered by network analysis and the graph theory. The study examined the empirical properties of the intra-EU trade network in the years 1999–2019 and confirmed that the EU trade links were of a disassortative nature. The use of network indicators has proven that the European trade network was characterised by a coreperiphery structure. The study shows that Germany was the undisputed leader of the EU trade network over the studied years, although its central position was weakening over the years.

Ongoing scientific developments connected with processing information as well as new methods to find compile and utilize it, has a direct impact on automotives. Such a complex object as a car, in term of the versatility connected with its components and their numerous functions demands the transfer of a vast amount of information. These procedures, which are conducted by the most high profiled producers and their associates in the field of preparing and implementing new standards in network communication , are continually being modified and advanced due to increasing demands for greater efficiency and improved reliability to data transmission. This article will attempt to introduce the CAN network as an element responsible for integrating and coordinating the working process ofsuch as complex system as the modern car. In the first part of this article there is a review of the basic solutions in automotives such as K-Line, LIN, CAN, Flex Ray for the purpose of outlining their ability to fulfill the demands imposed by car users and producers and the limitations that are subsequent to the various realization and their degree of complexity. Following on from this, there is a basic communication description of CAN and some applications of this standard in the modern car. Observations and remarks enclosed in the final part reports on the prognosis concerning the information described in this article with on emphasis on safety and ecology.
Ciągły rozwój nauk związanych z szeroko rozumianym przetwarzaniem informacji oraz nowe możliwości jej pozyskiwania i wykorzystania ,znajdują bezpośrednie odbicie w technice motoryzacyjnej. Złożoność obiektu jakim jest samochód pod względem różnorodności procesów i zjawisk zachodzących w nim począwszy od termodynamiki skończywszy na psychice kierowcy wiąże się nieodłącznie z przesyłaniem dużej ilości informacji. Prowadzone przez czołowych producentów samochodów oraz ich kooperantów prace w zakresie opracowania i wdrożenia nowych standardów komunikacji sieciowej determinowane są coraz wyższymi wymaganiami dotyczącymi wydajności i niezawodności systemów odpowiedzialnych za transmisje danych. W niniejszym artykule podjęto próbę przedstawienia sieci CAN jako elementu integrującego i koordynującego działanie złożonego systemu, jakim jest współczesny pojazd samochodowy. Dokonano przeglądu obecnych w motoryzacji rozwiązań sieciowych takich jak K-Line, LIN, CAN, Flex Ray pod katem ich zdolności do spełnienia narzuconych przez producentów i użytkowników oczekiwań, a także ze względu na ograniczenia natury ekonomicznej oraz technicznej wynikające z rożnego stopnia złożoności poszczególnych realizacji. Przedstawiono podstawowy opis komunikacji w standardzie CAN, oraz aplikacje tego standardu we współczesnych pojazdach samochodowych. Ujęte w podsumowaniu uwagi starają się przedstawić obecne prognozy dotyczące omawianych zagadnień uwzględniając silnie akcentowane w ostatnich latach kwestie bezpieczeństwa i ekologii.

Opis:
To investigate the effect of reactor performance/configuration of biodiesel production on process parameters (mass & energy consumption, required facilities etc.), two diverse production processes (from vegetable oil) were implemented/designed using Aspen HYSYS V7.2. Two series reactors were taken into account where overall conversion was set to be 97.7% and 70% in first and second processes respectively. Comparative analysis showed that an increase in conversion yield caused to consumption reduction of oil, methanol, cold energy and hot energy up to 9.1%, 22%, 67.16% and 60.28% respectively; further, a number of facilities (e.g. boiler, heat exchanger, distillation tower) were reduced. To reduce mass & energy consumption, mass/heat integration method was employed. Applying integration method showed that in the first design, methanol, cold and hot energy were decreased by 49.81%, 17.46% and 36.17% respectively; while in the second design, oil, methanol, cold and hot energy were decreased by 9%, 60.57% 19.62% and 36.58% respectively.

he article presents some of the chosen aspects of supply chain integration and coordination. Supply chain can be considered as one of the forms of the network organization. The article introduces also issues related to the importance of information systems in ensuring the appropriate degree of integration and coordination. The aim of this article is the indication of the current trends concerning the integration of suppliers and customers in the supply chain and the coordination of the decision of cooperating partners, as well as analysis of the use of information technology to support the process of supply chain integration and coordination.

W artykule przedstawiono koncepcję zintegrowania sieci kontrolno-sterującej z magistralą styku S podsieci abonenckiej ISDN. Proponowane rozwiązanie zakłada zachowanie całkowitej kompatybilności budowanego systemu z obowiązującymi unormowaniami. Zaletą przedstawianego systemu jest radykalne obniżenie kosztów wdrażania sieci miejscowej, wynikającego z wykorzystania do jej budowy istniejącego już okablowania oraz produkowanych masowo interfejsów transmisyjnych. System kontrolno-sterujący przejmuje ponadto sprawdzone mechanizmy i protokoły transmisyjne, gwarantujące jego stabilność i niezawodność.
The article presents an idea of integration of a control network with the S-bus of an ISDN user network. The proposed solution assumes to assure a complete compatibility of the constructed system with the effective standards. The main advantage of the solution consists in an important reduction of costs related to the implementation of a field network, resulting from the utilisation of the existing cabling as well as manufactured in huge quantities transmission interfaces. Moreover, the control and monitoring system uses proven mechanisms and transmission protocols, which guarantee its stability and reliability.

The use of the radio controlled network system in industrial tasks is a real fact. The new medium, according to its nature and characteristics improves new possibilities in the data transfer. The paper illuminates some basic problems concerning the wireless communication systems. Attributes and limitation are simply presented. Some rules and recommendations are formulated and elaborated. Three popular wireless standards (from ISM band) were used as an applicable example. The newest evolution conception of industrial wireless standards was pointed out.
Używanie sieci bezprzewodowych w środowiskach przemysłowych jest już powszechne. Ten nowoczesny środek komunikacji, ze względu na swoje właściwości, pozwala na wprowadzanie nowych metod przesyłania danych. W pracy przedstawiono podstawowe problemy pojawiające się przy bezprzewodowych systemach transmisji danych. Podano ograniczenia i główne cechy tej formy komunikacji. Przeprowadzono analizę problemów i przedstawiono niezbędne wymagania i zalecenia w tym zakresie. Omówiono przykłady trzech głównych standardów pracujących w paśmie nielicencjonowanym (ISN). Wskazano na nowe kierunki rozwoju standardów bezprzewodowych.

Artykuł prezentuje teoretyczną dyskusję nad strukturami sieciowymi. Badania zostały przeprowadzone na przykładzie jednego z oddziałów firmy Dachser. Artykuł stanowi charakterystykę i analizę porównawczą strategii operatora logistycznego działającego w Polsce. Badania obejmują spojrzenie na problemy zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw oparte na procedurach wdrożonych w przedsiębiorstwie logistycznym. Zaprezentowano główne trendy występujące pomiędzy strategią i logistyką, a także podkreślono rozwój strategii łańcucha dostaw.
The article presents a theoretical discussion on network structures. The research focus is on the operations one of Dachser branches. The article characterises and makes a comparative analysis of strategy of one of the European logistics operators based in Poland. The research provides a comprehensive insight into practical problems in managing supply chain based on procedures implemented in a logistics company. Main research trends running between strategy and logistics are also presented and the development prospects of supply chain strategy are highlighted.

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest analiza procesów europeizacji agencji zajmujących się implementacją unijnej polityki rolnej i rozwoju obszarów wiejskich w nowych krajach członkowskich: na Litwie, w Słowacji i Polsce. Chodziło o zbadanie zmian instytucjonalnych pod wpływem realizowania polityk unijnych i implementacji prawa UE. W szczególności przedmiotem zainteresowania było to, czy procesy europeizacji wprowadzają do praktyki administracyjnej nowe metody zarządzania, tj. opierające się na sieciowych (niehierarchicznych) mechanizmach współpracy i otwarciu administracji na dialog obywatelski. Jedno z głównych pytań stawianych w niniejszym artykule dotyczy tego, w jaki sposób procesy europeizacji wchodzą w relacje z krajowymi czynnikami kształtującymi sposób funkcjonowania administracji publicznej. Chodzi przede wszystkim o rolę miejscowej kultury politycznej i administracyjnej, w tym także tradycji wywodzącej się z okresu socjalistycznego.
This paper is aimed at analyzing the process of Europeanization of executive agencies implementing Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the rural area development policy in new EU members: Lithuania, Slovakia and Poland. In other words, the paper analyzes changes in institutions occurred as a result of the execution of EU policies and implementation of EU laws. I also wanted to find out if Europeanization processes introduced new modes of governance into the administrative practice, related to non-hierarchical modes of governance, social participation and activity in European agency networks. Consequently, one of the main questions asked in the study was how Europeanization of executive agencies related to domestic factors that shaped the functioning of public administration. What role was played in these relations by the local political and administrative culture, including the tradition rooted in the socialist period? How was the impact of Europeanization modified by that tradition?

The term paradigm was introduced to the philosophy of science by Thomas Kuhn – he used this term to denote the specific approach applied by a school of research to examine its subject matter. Using the same paradigm, researchers seek answers to similar questions, and employ similar methods and concepts. In an article published in 2000, the author of this essay introduced the term system paradigm, which focuses on the systems functioning in a society. This study develops the theoretical considerations outlined in that earlier article on the basis of experience of post-socialist transition. The first part compares the socialist and capitalist systems, describing their main characteristics, and concludes that the capitalist system has become established in former socialist countries, except for North Korea and Cuba. The second part analyzes varieties of capitalism within a typology which classifies prevailing forms of politics and government. Three markedly different types are identified: democracy, autocracy, and dictatorship. Huntington wrote about the “third wave” of democratization. This study concludes the third wave has dried up: for the 47 postsocialist countries, only a tenth of the population live in democracies, while autocracy or dictatorship prevails in all other countries in this group. The third part of this essay applies the conceptual and analytical apparatus to Hungary, where capitalism exists, and autocracy is the prevailing politico-governmental form – here we can find important characteristics common to other capitalist countries or other autocracies. This finding is compatible with the observation that there are some less fundamental characteristics unique to Hungary, or “Hungarica”, which differ from the characteristics of all other countries.
Tworzenie polityki społecznej zasadniczo zależy od wyników debaty na temat przyszłości państwa opiekuńczego w Europie. Z polityczno-gospodarczego punktu widzenia proces ten stanowi zmienną zależną zarówno od europejskiej polityki integracyjnej, jak i od krajowych tradycji administracyjnych. Państwa narodowe nie działają jednak w sposób całkowicie suwerenny ani wobec Unii Europejskiej, ani wobec interesariuszy krajowych, wszystkie stoją bowiem w obliczu tzw. trylematu (trilemma) – termin ten sformułował amerykański socjolog Torben Iversen (2005). W prezentowanym artykule nawiązuję do analiz tego autora i omawiam trudne wybory, przed jakimi stoją decydenci na różnych szczeblach administracji w związku z wymuszanymi przez wspomniany trylemat kompromisami. Póki co, dominujące idee nowego zarządzania publicznego współzawodniczą z innymi tradycjami administracyjnymi społeczeństw Europy Zachodniej. Na koniec, odwołując się do przykładu tradycyjnego skandynawskiego modelu państwa opiekuńczego, stwierdzam, że europejskie porozumienie w sprawie wyboru społecznego związane z przezwyciężeniem tego trylematu jest niezbędne, jeżeli mamy uratować znany nam model państwa opiekuńczego.
