Opis:
Stylistic-linguistic categories are classes of concepts typical of language fimctional styles with blurred limits. They are related to linguistic items present in the stylae. The definition of these categories referes to cognitivistic concepts. Categories gel on the level of text and after developing of categorization process and their consolidating in stylistic structures, become determinants of functional styles’ existence together with other sty- le-formative factors as fiinctions and subcodes. Although they are usually fixed in the language materiał, sometimes they are determined without reference to factual documenta- tion, as thought categories connected with materiał indirectly.Stylistic-linguistic categories belong to the style as a form of language existence cre- ated by structure of modal-pragmatic character organized by many functions actions rule. There are two groups among distinguished The first one is created by main categories of functional styles such as commonness (common style), artisticness (artistic style), scientificness (scientific style), and others. The second group includes subcatego- ries of main classes. The latters have rich documentation of language indices, while sub- categories do not always have such a documentation. There are also matrical concepts wich have a status of category: language, style, func- tion, structure, text. They should be treated as axioms of stylistics. Although they belong to categories characteristic to stylistics, I do not describe them as stylistic-linguistic (stylistic) categories to distinguish them from those formerly mentioned. In the text level, there are phenomenons, which are - similarly to categories - typical and repetitive, although signs of these processes are heterogenic. These phenomenons are subject to regularity of text forming as stylistic dependent functions activity rule. In text structures of artistic style it referes to e.g. phenomenons forming in relation to the subject, literary figurę, means of narration, and similar literary constructs.Previous observations of style investigators prove the existence of many stylistic categories in every style. The constant set of these categories has not been established, but it is known that some of them are repeated in various studies. The last observations prove that spectrum of the categories change with time passage.
