Opis:
Purpose: To incorporate a new value theory based on co-productivity into the value chain analysis. Methodology: We develop a theoretical model of co-productivity and analyze selected examples of high co-productive value chains. Our theory modifies value theories based on the classical approach (A. Smith, D. Ricardo, K. Marx), production factors of land, capital, labor, and knowledge (J.B. Clark), subjective value for the consumer (C. Menger, W.S. Jevons, and L. Walras), exchange value (A. Marshall), energy value (I. Prigogine), value added for the customer (M. Porter and P. Drucker), information value (V. Rometty), and customer attention (M. Goldhaber). Findings: We demonstrate that the co-productivity theory deeply connects all hermeneutic sources of value creation, but more importantly, it opens opportunities for adopting future-oriented sources. Originality: We present an original theory based on co-productivity, previously unused in logistics. We show how the theory helps to shape more effective value chains.

Opis:
This study analyses one of the main postulates of the Endogenous Growth Theory, that suggests that international trade openness is capable to speed up growth-impacting productivity. ADF stationary tests, Johansen co-integration test and Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) procedures are applied on a yearly data set covering the period 1995-2014. Data for individual V4 countries were also compared with EU-15 benchmark. The main finding of the paper is that for all V4 countries there exists a long term relationship between economy openness and labour productivity and in case of Hungarian economy in the Granger sense - causality is one-directional and runs only from productivity to openness. It suggest, that the Endogenous Growth Theory in this case is no longer supported nevertheless further and deeper investigation is needed. Although huge differences in case of openness between V4 countries exist, strong positive linear correlation with productivity is observed. Also disturbing secondary result of conducted research is that however convergence in case of productivity between V4 and EU-15 is observed, assuming the current rate of catching-up (apart from existence of saturation level of productivity), EU-15 and V4 average productivity would equal in 6 decades.

Opis:
This article presents a theoretical analysis of a well-known method of FMEA as a tool to support quality management processes. On the basis of literature discusses the origin and nature of the method, as well as synthetic method presents examples of practical applications. An attempt was made to determine the possibility of further developments FMEA method in manufacturing companies. Based on many years of experience operating production company it has observed the need to implement quality management tools in one of the branches of the company, namely the Department of Maintenance of Machines and Equipment in one of the Podlasie power plants. Innovation actions taken manifests itself in the implementation of the industrial practice new solutions for an organization. The issue is so important that observed shortened life cycles of machines and devices operating in power plants. The article presents the problems associated with the use of modern methods of quality management system, combined heat and power. The intensity of the emerging new methods raises the question of how these methods are effective and what benefits the implemented procedures have company. An attempt was made to analyze this problem on the example of the energy industry. The implementation of this method should help to get certain benefits, and consequently improve the productivity of the production of energy in combined heat and power system. Unforeseen emergency downtime of machines operated in the power plants are expensive factor in the production process. FMEA is a method commonly known as analysis of cause - and effect, which allows the accurate formulation of the potential causes and the consequences of failure processes. Having regard to the foregoing attempt to analyze the possibility of implementing FMEA method in the enterprise, and especially a in a company characterized by a continuous type production.
