Opis:
The article presents issues related to public transport time accessibility to some selected services, including indoor swimming pools, cinemas, hospitals and shopping centres. In order to measure the above-mentioned accessibility the short distance method was used in the following time periods: 7:00-9:00 am for the hospitals; 5:00-7:00 pm for the shopping centres; 6:00-8:00 pm for the cinemas and 6:00-8:00 pm for the swimming pools. For each time period the measures were taken every 15 minutes. The main purpose of the article is to determine temporal accessibility for various purposes, the number of people living at a certain time distance and the diversity of accessibility by public transport. The public transport accessibility to the selected services indicates areas where the accessibility is limited. Time deviations in the operation of the public transport were calculated for all the selected time periods. The results of both measurements and calculations are presented in graphic form. Moreover, the graph includes the number of Szczecin citizens living in different time accessibility areas and in places with the highest time deviations.

Opis:
In this paper, the possibility of using the GTFS standard to describe the public transport (PT) stop infrastructure in Poland, was evaluated. It was also proposed to expand the existing GTFS file of the ZTM (PT authority) in Poznań to include a detailed description of a selected two-level tram stop. A testbed equipped with open source software was built and used for this purpose. The study showed that despite the fact that in Poland, PT organizers and operators do not provide detailed information on its accessibility to people with disabilities, the preparation of such information is possible, while modifications to the data generated so far may be required, especially regarding the stops. However, the preparation and updating of this data on a nationwide scale may pose a problem.

Opis:
The analysis presented herein is aimed at indicating disparities in accessibility to some selected travel destinations by means of private and public transport in the city of Szczecin. Accessibility is a simple measure of potential interactions between two points in space. For the purpose of the study, an original model of an individual transportation system has been developed using Google Maps API data. In order to do so, some GTFS and pedestrian-related data have been downloaded. To calculate source-destination travel times at certain times of the day for four different parameters of pedestrian motion speed, ArcGIS Network Analyst software has been used. Five research methods have been applied: the proximity measure, the population percentage measure, the cumulative accessibility measure, the potential accessibility index and the potential accessibility quotient. In order to develop an ultimate accessibility rating for housing estates in Szczecin, a synthetic accessibility measure has been developed. The synthetic accessibility measure consists of 9 standardised components/values for both public and private (car) transport. The potential accessibility to the population is part of the synthetic accessibility sub-measure. The isochrones have been drawn in order to analyse the workplaces and secondary schools. Moreover, data concerning accessibility to the nearest kindergarten, primary school, hospital, cinema, shopping centre and indoor swimming pool have also been taken into consideration when calculating the synthetic measure. In the case of potential accessibility measures, it is usually the highest in the city centre. Obviously, the nearer a particular facility, the higher its accessibility measure is. The only disparities between the measures for public and private transport are observed in areas which are not covered by the public transportation network.

Opis:
This study deals with the synthesis of selected attributes of public transport accessibility. The aim is to present a new method of multi-criteria analysis. As the research area, the city of Cracow has been chosen. The GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) system has been used to obtain traffic data for buses and trams within the city‘s transport company (MPK Krakow). The analysis itself consists of 4 main accessibility indicators (walking time to each stop, number of lines, directions, and connections from each stop). The problem of exceeding the stops accessibility beyond the administrative border of Cracow has been solved by using a 500 m wide buffer zone around the city. To connect the individual layers of indicators into a multicriteria analysis, the Voronoi diagram function has been applied. The results of the method are presented in the form of synthetic maps of transport accessibility for each bus and tram stop in Cracow. Together with the synthetic accessibility maps, an index of a stop importance has been created as well, which consists of the sum of the mean percentages from 3 indicators (number of lines, directions, connections). The synthetic method used and acquired detailed values not only for the city of Cracow as a whole, but also its individual parts make it possible to provide a comprehensive picture of accessibility by public transport. This multicriteria analysis can also be extended for a comparative study of selected cities.
