    W pracy przeanalizowano wpływ budowy ściany szczytowej wielkopowierzchniowej hali stalowej o kształcie walcowym z przekryciem zbudowanym z jednowarstwowej trójkątnej siatki prętów opartej na słupach. Dla analizowanego obiektu stworzono modele przestrzenne i przeprowadzono nieliniową analizę statyczną z uwzględnieniem efektów drugiego i trzeciego rzędu oraz analizę wyboczeniową. Na podstawie uzyskanych wyników przedyskutowano charakter pracy każdego z układów i wyciągnięto ogólne wnioski na temat wpływu konstrukcji ściany szczytowej na uzyskiwane wartości. Dla badanego przypadku wybrano optymalne rozwiązanie ściany szczytowej uwzględniające trzy kryteria: statykę konstrukcji, stateczność układu i masę wykorzystanej stali konstrukcyjnej.
    The paper analyzes the impact of the construction of the gable wall of a large cylindrical steel hall with a cover made of a single-layer triangular grid of bars supported on steel poles. Spatial models were created for the analyzed object and nonlinear static analysis with taking into account the effects of the second and third order, as well as a buckling analysis were carried out. Based on the obtained results, the behavior of each system was discussed and general conclusions were drawn on the impact of the gable wall structure on the obtained values. For the considered case, optimal solution of the gable wall was selected, taking into account three criteria: statics of structure, stability of the system and the mass of structural steel used.

    The non-linear stochastic dynamic behaviour of a high-rise vertical transportation system modelled as a concentrated mass and a cable with finite bending stiffness is considered. The slow time scale is defined and lateral cable displacements coupled with transverse motions are expanded in terms of approximating functions. The excitation of the high-rise building is assumed in the form of a narrow-band mean-square process equivalent to the harmonic process. The equivalent linearization technique is used to replace the original non-linear system with a linear approximation whose coefficients are determined from minimization of the mean-square equation difference between both systems.

    The occurrence of connective tissue disorders is an important factor for development of occupational diseases in professions requiring a non-ergonomic and often static load of the musculoskeletal system. Symptoms of the connective tissue disorders appear at different ages. The diagnosis of hypermobility is an important problem due to the lack of uniform diagnostic criteria. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the incidence of joint hypermobility and its relation with a history of injuries and the level of physical activity in Physiotherapy students. The study involved 143 students (69% female, 31% male) aged 18 to 27 years (M = 20.7; SD = 1.43). The assessment of the occurrence of Benign Hypermobility Joint Syndrome (BHJS) syndrome was performed using the Beighton and Brighton scale. Among the surveyed students almost 82% of the women and just over 18% of the men fulfilled the diagnostic criteria for the diagnosis of hypermobility. A significant difference was also observed in the physical activity of the students. Among those who showed no signs of hypermobility exactly half of the participants trained sports as amateurs, while in the group of people with hypermobility the proportion was lower by nearly half. BHJS was not related to injuries and operations in the study group.
