    Opis:
    Mayenite, $Ca_{12}Al_{14}O_{33}$, has attracted enormous attention for novel technological applications after the discovery of its high oxygen ionic conductivity. The crystal structure consists of a calcium-aluminate framework, comprising 32 of the 33 oxygen anions. The remaining oxygen is distributed over 1/6 of large cages within the framework. The true structure is heavily disordered and usually non-stoichiometric due to the presence of extra anions and is presented for four samples: pure oxygen mayenite (O-mayenite), partly (O/N-mayenite) and fully (N-mayenite) exchanged by nitrogen and doped with iron (Fe-mayenite). All samples were investigated by neutron powder diffraction up to 1050°C. Data were analysed by the Rietveld method and by difference Fourier methods. As prepared O-mayenite contains $O_{2}^{-}$ and $OH^{-}$, N- and O/N-mayenite also $NH_{2}^{-}$, $NH^{2-}$ and $N^{3-}$, while Fe-mayenite was free of extra radicals. In O- and N-mayenite the extra species are lost under vacuum conditions above ca. 700°C, whereas O/N-mayenite retained $NH_{2}^{-}$ up to high temperatures. Diffusion of oxygen proceeds via a jump-like interstitialcy process involving exchange of the "free" oxygen with framework oxygen, coupled to relaxations of Ca ions. In O/N-mayenite $NH_{2}^{-}$ diffuses via interstitial process. In Fe-mayenite encaged oxygen is "invisible" due to extreme delocalisation or loss.

    W artykule przedstawiono podstawy teoretyczne i wyprowadzenie wyrażenia pochodzącego z normy amerykańskiej, stosowanego do określenia termicznie dopuszczalnej obciążalności prądowej trójfazowych transformatorów suchych, w sytuacji obciążenia ich odbiorami nieliniowymi. Przedstawiono wyniki weryfikacji pomiarowej tego wyrażenia, przy różnych kształtach prądów obciążających badane transformatory suche. Wyniki badań potwierdziły poprawność wyrażenia dla transformatorów współcześnie produkowanych.
    The paper presents the theoretical basics and the derivation of the American standard expression used to determine the thermally permissible current of three-phase dry transformers with nonlinear loads. The results of the measurement verification of this expression are presented, with different shapes of loading currents of the dry transformers under test. The results of the tests confirmed the correctness of the expression for contemporary transformers only.

    Opis:
    Core sheets insulations faults of electric machines result in eddy currents appearance. The currents flow is a reason of local temperature increasing which can cause wire and sheets insulation degradation. Visual diagnosis of core sheets insulation during the repair is not reliable. Traditional method of diagnosis, based on flux excitation by high intensity current and temperature increasing observation, is time consuming, not very reliable and inconvenient. Measurement of flux leakage on stator teeth surface is fast and reliable method of core sheets insulation diagnostic. This method doesn't require high intensity excitation current. Equipment offered on the market is very expensive and it is most dedicated to diagnose big synchronous generators. Authors invented, constructed and implemented original device dedicated to measure and diagnose of sheets insulations. Whole the system, with the special dedicated software was tested on special parts in laboratory and also in real industrial conditions. Paper shows principle of operation and results of using the system.

    The paper presents the causes of the commutator serial motor failure shortly after it becomes operational. The repair was made after long-term use in hard conditions of exploitation, requiring a large current overload. Knowledge of the causes of the failure should be a warning against reducing the scope of the repair work.
    W artykule przedstawiono przyczyny awarii silnika komutatorowego szeregowego wkrótce po przeprowadzonym remoncie. Remont ten został wykonany po długotrwałym okresie eksploatacji w ciężkich warunkach pracy, wymagających znacznych przeciążeń prądowych. Znajomość przyczyn awarii powinna być przestrogą przed ograniczaniem zakresu prac remontowych.
