More and more crowded cities, high emissions and high maintenance costs of the current road infrastructure are the cause of the growing interest in the transport of non-standard solutions. This paper presents innovative forms of urban personal transport, and modern forms of collective transport with automated buses that provide transportation and shuttle access road connecting the different objects.

Opis:: Depletion of fossil energy sources, and thus the prices increase of conventional fuels such as gasoline or diesel fuel, the energy security and dependence on imported fuels, as well as the deteriorating environment and global warming mean that there are more and more new technologies using renewable energy sources nowadays. In the medium- and long-term perspective a significant changes are needed regarding means of transport in ensuring "sustainable mobility", while the horizon of short-term solution is the implementation of biofuels, including biogas refined to form of biomethane, and renewable alternative fuels. Biomethane is produced from waste organic matter. Directive 2009/28/EC indicates the benefits of using waste for the production of transport fuels, to decarbonisation of the energy sector and requires Member States of UE to use renewable fuels. The paper presents possibilities for the biomethane production, as well as conditions to use it as fuel to power city buses. The level of current use of gaseous fuels in the national urban transport was specified, and also conducted an evaluation of benefits, especially ecological, to use these fuels for these applications.

Opis:: W komunikacie Komisji Parlamentu Europejskiego, Rady Europejskiego Komitetu Ekonomiczno-Społecznego oraz Komitetu Regionów "Plan działania na rzecz mobilności w miastach" [1], wydanym 30 września 2009 r., podkreślono rolę wydajnego systemu transportowego w miastach, a także ogromne wyzwania, stojące przed miastami, mianowicie stworzenie i zorganizowanie takiego systemu transportowego w swoim obrębie, by uwzględniał: zasadę zrównoważonego rozwoju, biorącego pod uwagę ochronę środowiska, konkurencyjność, a także aspekty społeczne [1]. jako, że juz w 2007 r. 72% ludności [2] w Europie żyło na obszarach miejskich, propozycje rozwiązań rozładowania kongestii ruchu na obszarach miejskich zyskują wsparcie Unii Europejskiej, zainteresowanej rozpowszechnieniem rozwiązań, które pozytywnie wpłynęły na transport w miastach. Same obszary miejskie "stają się laboratoriami, w których eksperymentuje się w dziedzinie innowacji technologicznych i organizacyjnych, zmian wzorców mobilności i nowych możliwości finansowania" [1].

Opis:: The article presents a determination method of transport means service ability in a real city transport system. The considerations have been demonstrated on the basis of a real city bus transport system in a chosen agglomeration. The executive subsystem consisting of elementary subsystems of the type human - technical object (operator - transport means) whose service ability and reliability have a direct influence on capability to perform the transport task is directly responsible for accomplishment of the city transport system tasks. In order to develop a model of means of transport serviceability there were determined significant states of the operational use process and there was made a division and reduction of the number of states in terms of the availability criterion. On this basis, an event model of the process of transport means operational use, and then a mathematical model of this process, were built with the assumption that its model is a homogenous Markov 's process X(t). Next, boundary values of availability coefficient for the distinguished availability levels of transport means used in the city transport system were determined for operational data obtained from a real city bus transport system. The discussed model for determination of transport means availability is an initial one, developed on the basis of a nine-state model of operational use. In further part of the paper, there will be developed a resultant model of transport means availability determination (semi-Markov 's sixteen-state model), being a component of a wider, decision model for creation and assessment of transport means availability.

Opis:: In the past few years traffic volume is increasing. As a consequence, negative external traffic effects are increasing too, in particular CO2 emissions, which result in global warming and climate changes. CO2 emissions, a by-product of vehicles are much higher in cities due to traffic density. According to European standards, Celje is not a large city; however its traffic poses a great problem that the city authorities will soon be confronted with. This paper focuses on the city centre of Celje, where traffic flow was measured and CO2 emissions calculated. Using alternative solutions the aim was to present impacts on the environment in the municipality of Celje in an event of changed traffic regimes. In order to reach the guidelines of sustainable transport development in the municipality of Celje, in the future, different measures for reducing negative external effects of city transport will have to be put into force, for only this way the quality of city life can be improved and compatibility of environmental, economic and social objectives provided.

Progressive spatial development of city infrastructure expressed by an increase in population density or the number of factories, alteration of lifestyle and domination of individual transport usage, generate unwanted changes in the city space. these trends have a negative impact on the functioning of transport, thus the quality of citizens’ life is also affected. minimizing these nuisances requires usage of logistics management rules, as the concentration of significant business entities and people on a relatively small territory creates relevant problems in management. proper organization of city transport is of special significance to cities’ functioning, taking into account the rules of sustainable management. the author undertakes to discuss the problem of qualitative development of city transport system, considering the principles of sustainable development.

Opis:: The paper deals with an analysis and mathematical model of means of transport operation and maintenance. The considerations are based on a selected real transport means system - city bus transport system in a chosen agglomeration. The model has been built on the basis of a real city transport system involving realization of the process of operation and maintenance of means of transport. For this purpose, the process significant states and possible transitions between theses states have been determined. On this basis, an event model of means of transport operational use process was built, and next its mathematical model was made, with the assumption of its being the homogenous Markov 's model. Means of transport values of boundary probabilities for their being in the process particular states, were determined for data concerning their operational use. This serves as the basis for an analysis of the studied process of operational use. The presented Markov's model of the means of transport operational use process is the effect of accomplishmen of the first stage of the resultant model (semi-Markov's model) of operational use. The resultant model will be a part of a wide scale, decision model for creation and assessment of the transport system being ready for operation.

Opis:: Celem pracy było porównanie niezawodności autobusów komunikacji miejskiej na przykładzie marki Solaris Urbino 12 i Mercedes-Benz 628 Conecto LF w Miejskim Przedsiębiorstwie Komunikacyjnym w Lublinie. Uwzględniono wskaźniki niezawodności silnika oraz wybranych układów konstrukcyjnych o największej liczbie uszkodzeń. Wykazano, że w praktyce eksploatacyjnej występują nieznaczne różnice niezawodności pomiędzy współcześnie produkowanymi autobusami znanych firm.
The purpose of this paper is to present reliability comparison of city transport buses on the example of Solaris Urbino 12 and Mercedes-Benz 628 Conecto LF at Municipal Transport Company in Lublin. Reliability rate of the engine and some of the construction systems with the highest number of defects were considered. As demonstrated below, small reliability differences occur in practice maintenance between these days produced buses in well-known companies.

Opis:: Standards linked with the environmental protection and vehicles are increasingly restrictive. EURO VI standard and regulations define the acceptable limits for exhaust emissions of new vehicles sold. Because of that, Selective Catalyst Reduction systems are used in a new vehicles with the heavy-duty type engines. This paper presents a study of the SCR system in public transport vehicles of the Municipal Transport Company (MPK) in Lublin, Poland. The tests were performed to study the power consumption of the SCR (the urea applicator into the catalyst) and calculate the results per unit of fuel. The amount of fuel for the Solaris Trollino 12 trolleybus was estimated and the energy demand found was of the order of 343 kWh/year. This gives low diesel fuel consumption, i.e. only 34.3 litres per year. The study also shows a graph of the daily demand of energy by the SCR system in public transport vehicles.
