    Opis:
    Aim/purpose – The aim of the paper is to review the routine aspect in strategizing process exposing strategizing routines. Consequently, the main aim is to enhance understanding of the commonness, meanings and dissemination of the concept and idea of the routine in strategizing process. Design/methodology/approach – Narrative, thematic literature review method is adopted, representing a qualitative methodology as appropriate because it is useful in pulling routine research and strategizing research together into general format. It helps in presenting two perspectives embraced in this paper by discussing theory and context to provoke thought and even a controversy. Findings – The conclusions drawn from the presented review explicate the importance of routine in strategy process as well as routine as practice and its associations with workers in strategy. Research implications/limitations – The research shed light on specific aspects of strategizing routines. The main value added of our paper is that it draws from the extant literature to provide with a comprehensively updated picture of how strategy-as-practice and routine theory can serve, as a useful research approach, to the studies about strategic choice. The presumable limitation is due to methodology adopted. Originality/value/contribution – The paper exploits two important management approaches in order to explicate organizational behavior, especially strategy process and strategizing, by investigating organizational routines. Thus, routine appears an adequate natural fundament since routines grasp systematic and endogenous character of the organization. Therefore, the concept of organizational routines is one to consider in the strategy research, to indicate the role that routines have in the process of strategizing in specific.

    The paper is on strategizing Technical and Vocational Education towards best global practice for accelerated sustainable development of Nigeria. The paper examines implementation of Technical and Vocational Education policies for effective and efficient acquisition of knowledge, techniques and skills for sustainable development. The paper pointedly discussed economic development through functional vocational and technical education for accelerated national development and transformation. The paper also attempt to highlight the important of functional vocational and technical education for rapid economic development. The paper suggest/recommends among others that the Federal, States and Local Governments in Nigeria should set up a strong and viable supervisory and management teams for effective and efficient supervision and management of the available meager resources for accelerated transformation of Nigeria. Furthermore, government at all levels in Nigeria should provide adequate support for continuous training of teachers and students of technical and vocational so that technical and vocational education graduates produced in Nigeria should have the ability to stimulate inventions and generate innovative ideas inline with best global best practice for sustainable development and transformation of Nigeria.

    The main aim of this paper is to indicate and analyse the primary conditions needed to implement the concept of open strategizing into the practice of an organization, as well as to make it successful. The structure of the paper comprises two main parts: a brief introduction to the most important issues of open strategy is followed by the results of own research. Two major approaches towards the notion of open strategy are delineated: the first is more oriented towards strategy content and based on the idea of comprising collaborative initiatives into a firm’s strategic plans, and the second refers to strategic management process, based on including external and internal actors (stakeholders) into strategizing processes. Within own research based on literature review and the re-reading of case materials, four categories of preconditions of open strategizing are revealed. These categories, described and illustrated by examples, comprise: level and quality of social IT implementation, open culture and leadership, capabilities and competences, as well as the perceived expected benefits from inclusion and transparency.

    The study analyses the role of the transit function in the development of a regional transport system drawing on the example of the Kaliningrad exclave region (Russia). The article studies the role and extent of the impact of changes in the volume and structure of transit operations on the value-added creation in the regional economy. The assessment of the transit function was conducted using analytical software for strategizing and situational forecasting of the socio-economic development of the Kaliningrad region, the analogue of which is the CGE-model. The article describes the results of the regional value-added modelling based on the integrated index of gross regional product (GRP) and the changing volume and structure of transit cargo. The article explores the transit specialisation options for the Kaliningrad region based on different scenarios of its social and economic development and the changes in external factors. The results can be applied to similar studies on assessing the transit potential of a particular territory and developing measures to support the transportation system development in other regions.

    The aim of this article is to examine the specific nature of the mobility patterns and labor market integration of the Turkish community in Poland, and to situate those phenomena in the broader context of migration from Turkey to northern Europe. Migration from Turkey to Poland is much newer than migration from Turkey to Western European states but has grown dynamically in the past decade. These migration flows are distinct from those inside the EU or from post-Soviet European countries such as Ukraine or Belarus to Poland. The article distinguishes three occupational trajectories that are typical for Turkish migrants in Poland. These paths are characterized by the various social environments in which they develop: the host society, the ethnic community, and the international (expat) community. Analysis reveals the great importance of co-ethnic networks, which play an even more crucial role because Turkish mobility to Poland is not supported by the state policies of either the sending or receiving country. The article refers to data from an original qualitative study (in-depth interviews) as well as to official statistical data from various sources.

    Artykuł jest poświęcony problematyce współczesnych wyzwań w obszarze zarządzania strategicznego, a w szczególności krytycznemu podejściu do osiągania przewagi konkurencyjnej na podstawie kluczowych zasobów. Wpisuje się w nią zagadnienie otwartości strategicznej przedsiębiorstw, które cieszy się coraz większym zainteresowaniem badaczy, zwłaszcza w literaturze zagranicznej. Związana z nim koncepcja Open Strategy (OS) (otwarta strategia) została opracowana z myślą o największych i nowoczesnych korporacjach, co pozwoliło uzyskać jej już spory rozgłos w praktyce gospodarczej. Realizacja założeń koncepcji OS wymusza wszechstronne wykorzystywanie systemów IT i zaimplementowanych w nich narzędzi informatycznych, budujących zaangażowanie społeczne, wzmacniając relacje nie tylko właścicieli i zarządzających, lecz także innych interesariuszy. Celem artykułu jest omówienie założeń koncepcji otwartej strategii, przegląd systemów IT mogących wspomagać jej realizację oraz wskazanie możliwości poszczególnych narzędzi do rozwoju otwartości strategicznej, również w polskich przedsiębiorstwach.
    The paper is devoted to contemporary challenges in the field of strategie management, in particular, to critical approach to the achieving of competitive advantage based on key resources. It embraces the issue of strategic openness of enterprises, which has been attracting increasingly more interest of researchers, in particular in foreign literature. The concept of the Open Strategy (OS) has been developed with the largest and modern corporations in mind, which is why it has already loudly resonated in business practice. The implementation of the assumptions of the OS concept forces out multilateral use of IT systems and tools implemented within them that build up social engagement by fostering the relationships of not only owners and managers but also other stakeholder relations. The goal of the paper is to discuss the assumptions of the Open Strategy concept, review IT systems that can provide support in its implementation, and identify how individual tools can help in developing strategic openness also in Polish enterprises.

    The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of productivity in developed countries, including EU countries and Ukraine. Hypotheses about the identity of the deindustrialization factor as the main cause for productivity decrease for both the Ukrainian economy and the economic systems of developed countries are verified. Purpose of the article: To develop a comprehensive methodological approach to strategizing and state regulation of the business environment based on guidelines developed according to the results of a comparative analysis of the productivity of entrepreneurial activities and focused on maximizing the creation of added value, which is a criterion for increasing the productivity of entrepreneurial activities. Methods used: A review of the scientific literature, a comparative analysis of the productivity of entrepreneurial activity in developed countries and Ukraine, including time series analysis, calculating growth rates of per capita value-added, and factor analysis of key obstacles that hinder the growth of the productivity of innovative entrepreneurial activity. The contribution made to the theory and methodology of productivity includes the proposed definition of the economic category “productivity of entrepreneurial activity”; general methodological principles of forming a strategy for improving the productivity of entrepreneurial activities are established; taking into account the best international experience, the main principles of state regulation of the entrepreneurial environment are laid down; it is established that the purpose of the strategy for improving the productivity of entrepreneurial activity is to provide the state with favorable business conditions, i.e., to create a favorable entrepreneurial environment and make it possible to identify and use hidden assets of entrepreneurial structures to develop value-added chains, the growth of which is a criterion for increasing productivity.
    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki analizy porównawczej produktywności w krajach rozwiniętych, w tym w krajach UE i na Ukrainie. Weryfikowane są hipotezy dotyczące identyfikacji dezindustrializacji jako głównej przyczyny spadku produktywności zarówno ukraińskiej gospodarki, jak i systemów gospodarczych krajów rozwiniętych. Cel artykułu: Opracowanie kompleksowego podejścia metodologicznego do tworzenia strategii i państwowej regulacji otoczenia biznesowego w oparciu o wytyczne opracowane na podstawie wyników analizy porównawczej produktywności działań przedsiębiorstw i ukierunkowanego na maksymalizację wartości dodanej, która jest kryterium zwiększania produktywności działań przedsiębiorstw. Zastosowane metody: przegląd literatury naukowej, analiza porównawcza produktywności działalności gospodarczej w krajach rozwiniętych i na Ukrainie, w tym analiza szeregów czasowych, obliczenie tempa wzrostu wartości dodanej na mieszkańca oraz analiza czynnikowa kluczowych przeszkód utrudniających wzrost produktywności innowacyjnej działalności przedsiębiorstw. Wkład wniesiony do teorii i metodologii produktywności obejmuje proponowaną definicję kategorii ekonomicznej „produktywność działalności przedsiębiorstw”; ustalenie ogólnych metodologicznych zasad tworzenia strategii poprawy produktywności działań przedsiębiorstw; określenie głównych zasad państwowej regulacji otoczenia przedsiębiorstw z uwzględnieniem najlepszych doświadczeń międzynarodowych; ustalenie, że celem strategii poprawy produktywności działalności przedsiębiorstw jest zapewnienie państwu korzystnych warunków prowadzenia działalności gospodarczej, tj. stworzenie sprzyjającego otoczenia przedsiębiorstw oraz umożliwienie identyfikacji i wykorzystania ukrytych aktywów struktur przedsiębiorczych do budowania łańcuchów wartości dodanej, których wzrost jest kryterium wzrostu produktywności.
